Balance between business and life

How are the members balancing between business and life, at this time of the year, and for the past 17 months or so. What techniques are they using to stay motivated, find enjoyment and fulfilment in their work and business, and maintain good health, well-being and so on? I think this topic should be received well by the forum at this time. Cheers. Best Regards, Greg Tingle

If it is your business there is no balance only integration. Work life balance is for employees.

      Thanks Odahh, I like integration.

Balance is, first, a judgement. Often made by those who see someone, successful via hard work and find fault in their ways.

It is a modern concept. It comes from a flawed conept of 'having it all', and doing it all well.

We are people, a whole unit, mind and body together...if you break one down, the other one breaks down too. The unit has its own way of letting us know if we are "balanced" or not, usually via sickness or death.

We have the same hours in the day as everyone else...the often successful business person loves what she does, and that includes non business activities also, like yoga, workouts and kids even.

Instead of trying to balance it all, FOCUS on the UNIT, THE One thing you have control over and make it the best it can be, eh?

Great advise. I swim and do beach yoga most mornings of the week also, as blessed to live very close to the ocean. Breaks from the computer screen ever hour or also. I'll stick with the program : ) All the best for the festive season.

I try to start each day with gratitude and a prayer for appreciating everything I do have while asking for help for difficulties and challenges in my life as well as my loved ones (friends, family, etc). It just helps right the ship for the day and is a positive reinforcement. Might not work for everybody but it does for me. Good fortune to everyone reading this.

Do you know what you get when you balance out all the dazzling colors of the spectrum?

    Brown.

I hear this often "No one ever said on their deathbed 'I wish I'd spent more time at the office.' "

But I have a thought. No one ever said, on their deathbed "i wish I would have accomplished less. I wish I would have contributed less. I wish I would have provided less for my family".

Nobody who ever blazed a trail, accomplished a lofty goal, or made history...had a life of balance.

I wonder what is defined as balance. But the again I self identify as an idiot when it comes to concept that everyone should just understand.

My biased and picky sense of reason prefers measurable targets. Rather than conceptual myths every one believes everyone else understands.

If someone wants work life balance they need to buy less crap on credit so they don't have so many bills to pay.

Someone was talking behind my back and had to chime in.

    Just kidding. Hohohoo!

They say Santa comes belated in January for some souls. Just thought to let you know.

Why there should be balance. Let the tides roll. Godhood is unpredictability.

  • Balance covahs the entire momentum spectrum.

As a still point from which to engage with all views, here is a yardstick to measure all horizons.

Hey, but why would I wanna do that rn?

If'n I am yogically happnin' I can mebbe rest sans desire to leap toward zero horizon.

So, now let us take definite actschwaahn.

An' let us keep in mind balance as it informs momentum.

I should wanna summon imagry of HOT GUYS here, stripped to the sleekest swimwear options an' fulla passion for GOWIN' DIVIN'.

Evry spin they turn, evry leap they leap, evry LITHE TORSO flow of flesh through space they make so innate ... don't happen by accident.

Before the mesmerisin' miracle comes the sense of the level.

Evry direction from nuthin' don't mean nuthin' less'n you got sense of nuthin'.

Which is why these guys can throw 'emselves around ... plus othah sports guys too ... an' the gals do this also, but I intrinsically intresteder in throb of male sinew as it *save me* uhm yanno ... but my POINT IS, the greater the scope for movement (cerebral an' physical happnin' all at once), the greater the need for an accurit ZERO.

That is why them racin' drivahs can bust stoopid speeds an' not fly offa the road.

Or anywan with no kinda finesse can make difficult stuff easy.

So I would wanna considah 'balance' in gravitational terms wherein stillness defines scope of momentum.

I should especially wanna do this in my meetups with muh Ditzy Dainty yoga pals who been srsly disrupted from all hope of regulah since Covid.

Here be where spirityool & relaxational gains come second to those sure are swanky yoga pants, but when you get up off the floor did you know they ride up like your thigh gap is wider than a drive-thru burger bar sumplace all the locals do is drive their cars an' eat burgers?

Balance defines reference points, momentum & erratica similarly equally.

It is the ultimate arbiter of all forms of propulsion.

As for me my method for inspiration and overall balance between life and business is the simple philosophy of taking it one step at a time , don't ever overwhelm your self despite all the pressure that may surround you value life and appreciate every second of it wether good or bad , I count my current blessings wether big or small because even when your in a rut and feel like the weight of the world is hovering over you theirs always someone out there going through worst . And the universe blesses those who do right and are appreciative.

I meditate and go for a walk in nature whenever possible to take a break the work.

I can not say it a WORK because its my PASSION and I love doing this.

But we should be taking frequent breaks as well and start a fresh again.

    Good Luck

Finding balance in life is essential for one's overall well-being and fulfillment. It is important to take time for yourself and ensure that your needs are met. This can be done by making sure you have time for hobbies, spending quality time with friends and family, and even taking time to meditate. Creating a balance between your work life and your personal life can help to reduce stress and give you a better overall outlook on life.
