Okay, I have been reading book after book, listening to audiobook after audiobook.

Most of them include some kind of tasks to achieve, or process to use in certain situations.

Does anyone find it gets a bit much?

How do you narrow down to one method?

Most of the books have similar messages and processes....but I don't want to start mixing and matching.

Do you stick with one book/author and one method?

    There seem to be themes common to almost all the models. This is probably a good place to start - these will be the basics that (in general) work, whatever extra wrinkles are added on.

    (On the other hand they might be commonly copies/rumoured myths which seen authoritative simply because they are ubiquitous.)

    Overall though, most people are likely to find that some parts of most schemes work for them.

    If you find there is an aspect that you keep coming across that makes you shudder - you really don't want to tackle it - then perhaps you should ask yourself what it is that bothers you about that aspect of the systems.

    Yes, its probably very similar to different diets. At the end of the day most comprehensive diet plans work. Many cross over each other and many are counter intuitive. The best approach to dieting is to take a few diets, think about which one fits your lifestyle and goals the best, and just run with it.

    Your situation is very similar. I would suggest just picking the paradigm you are most comfortable with and just going with it. Yes, there are going to be other authors that suggest doing something differently, but if you keep jumping around from paradigm to paradigm, then you will have the same results as a dieter who jumps between 15 different weight loss programs...no success.
