    Kill.

Kill your fears and your distractions.

They fuel each other and rob you of time, energy, and results.

Do that, and success is a done deal.

To tell you the truth, the goal that you want to achive is very much possible.

Firstly, find a plan/strategy that will help you accomplish that goal. To speed up the process, you can outsource or get tools that can automate the process. That is if and only if you have more than enough money to spend on.

Secondly, stick to the plan and replicate it over and over again. DO NOT look for any other methods to make money if your current plan is already making you money. The more you look the more you end up wasting time and money. Plus, you won't get anywhere if you keep changing your plans and strategy.

Thirdly, consistently motivate yourself to carry out the task that will make you money. For example if we are doing article marketing, I know sometimes we just feel lazy writing articles and our progress is being delayed. Always think about achieving that goal. Think about what you can do with the money.

Oh boy, it'll definitely feel super good once you achieve that goal.

A to-do list is a must for me!
I have joined Chris Frevills coaching class and this is a really big help.
I think, before I did not know what would work, so I didn't put much effort in it. Whit Chris, he knows what works and that gives me the energy to go out and do it.
I have also, unsubscribed to a lot of lists so I dont get tempted.
And I have a strict rule on when and for how long I can look at emails.

    Hope this helps :-)

    • I received a framed list of Rules for Successful Life, and I make sure that is display it near my workstation. The list essentially pins down 18 rules that will keep you going in spite of all negative externalities.

But this isn't all about work, for I believe in maintaining a balance. I sincerely believe in heeding what your body is telling you. It knows you better more than you know it. By simply listening to its signal, you will know when to work, when to rest, and when to pause.

Start to listen to your body today. Pause, if you feel like your goal is getting you down, instead of pulling you up. Goals and goal setting can be really stressful, especially when you want to race with time and just exceed your expectations. Only by following the natural flow and rhythm of your body will you be able to understand the adage, "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to embrace and a time to refrain"

    Rob,

You really need 4 things to reach your goal.

    1. Daily affirmations that you will achieve that goal. Do this everyday even if you do not feel like doing it. Let self help books help you with that and keep you motivated on a daily basis. A great book that I am reading now is called The Success Principals by Jack Canfield. It is a great book to keep you motivated.

    2. You can not wish success or money into your life. Yes, if you say positive things to yourself on a daily basis this will help your attitude. Your attitude is very important to success. You will need to basically find some sort of an opportunity that is good, legitimate, and has the potential to help you reach you financial goal.

    3. Once you find a good program and one that potentially can run for you on auto-pilot, you have got to take massive action with it.

    4. After you have mastered all 3 of the above, you should make a strong commitment to the opportunity and never ever give up no matter what.

If you want some specific help, please do PM me through this forum.

    Tal

One of the biggest things that helped me reach my goals was motivation. I really wanted a a cinema room for my home, so i did research found out how much money i will need, wrote it out on a post it note and stuck it above my computer.

Im telling you it works. Theres nothing like motivation.

2 quick tips for you ...

        1) Break down the goal into manageable pieces, then attack each piece one by one. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and keep you motivated.

        2) Hit a lead-off home run. That is, in the morning before you check email, etc., spend your first hour getting an important task completed and out of the way. This will insure that you get something critical done, and it will set the tone for the balance of the day.

        Hope that helps ...

        Best to you,

I've had similar problems in the past relating to not being able to focus on one this and always looking for that better technique/deal, etc.

You must be able to set a goal and be able to feel your passion for it. The more passion you have for something your desire to achieve it becomes so great that all your time and energy will be focused on activities that will bring you closer to your goal.

The most important thing about setting goals is that you must focus on them every day, multiple times during the day. You must write them down on paper and you must read them aloud, with enthusiasm, multiple times per day. This is one step that will feed your desire to achieve them.

Also, one book that has assisted me in eliminating procrastination is Eat That FrogEat That Frog , by Brian Tracy. It's about 21 habits you must form over time to stop procrastinating. This is one book you must learn to apply the knowledge you gain from it.

I use the "stair principle". I pick out a goal, divide these in sub goals/tasks and put each sub goal/task on a step. Until the end where a my goals is. I like pictures so i put most of the time a picture and the end (at the beginning of the stair is your starting point)

I print this and put in on my bulletin board.(and watch it all day, mean TAKE ACTION )

Wish you the best of luck

@robert25 - the real secret IMHO is taking your goal and continuously breaking it down until you have a list of ACTIONABLE items.

For example the task "Create a website" is not an actionable item. But if you broke that down into a bunch of smaller and smaller tasks until you had an item you could action you are in good shape. For example

    Create a web site
    -- Select a hosting company
. --- Post on warrior forum for recommendations
    . --- Select a company
. --- Purchase & Set up the account
    -- Get a design
    . --- More tasks here
    -- Complete the copy
    . --- More tasks here

Then you can take the actionable items, prioritize them and away you go. If you actually focus on ACTION, you will find your progress is UNBELIEVABLE

I use a hacky tool I threw together to do this and it works like gangbusters.

I highly recommend you give it a try...

Burnout has been one of the greatest enemies of mine, and I am still afraid of having to deal with it. But I've discovered that if I start working on my projects slowly, and without trying to accomplish too much at once, I can be more consistent and not lose motivation. I would suggest everyone to begin their quests slowly. You can accomplish more in the long run by doing less in the beginning.

visualization yourself having achieved your goal
Remember it should be 'real', it should be charged with emotion. Just like your dream. Use your mind power to maximise the clarity of your dreams.
Once you know what you want, use the mind power to play back that dream as often as you can. Even once a day is good, ten times is much better. I find that one good visualization session a day combined with playing back highlights at other times is very effective.

Hi Robert, I think your title is a bit confusing, since the real question you have is how to stay motivated. You have enough facts about to-do lists, now you need the emotion that will keep you focused on your next action.

What are the emotional reasons behind the 100k goal?
What will the 100k change in your life? Why does that matter? How will you feel when you get there? What makes that more important to you than today's next opportunity for distraction?

Focus is directed by the subconscious. The subconscious is not interested in arbitrary numbers. The subconscious is interested in specific, clear pictures of how you will become a better person and live a better life.

You inform the subconscious of what you want when you pay attention to a specific, detailed image of the outcome, while you feel passionate about your vision. Read Think and grow rich and The science of getting rich for step by step instructions. These books teach how to saturate your subconscious with the image of what your life should become.

If you feel passionate about a specific mental image, you will not lose focus, do irrelevant nonsense or procrastinate. How hard do you think it was for me to type this whole message, without a single break to distract myself? I'm passionate about the power of well-visualized goals! I have a clear, distinct, well defined image about how I feel great about myself when I share inspiring information with other people. With that picture in mind, all I have to do to write the next line is to imagine what an inspiring person might say next.

Check out those books - both are available for free download - and then tell me what inspiring vision drives you forward to your 100k results.

Hi Robert - I agree with Mr Enthusiastic. I was going to say the same thing. Make sure you are really passionate about the goal. Then you won't have to motivate yourself - you will be doing it because you are enjoying it etc!

Well you can do 3 things...

First if $100k is your goal for 1 year - that's mean around $280/day then set mini goal :
goal for the next 6 months - goal for the next 3 months - goal for the next month - for the next 15 days, for the week and finally for the day..

Secondly, each day you will do something no matter waht but something to help you to achieve the goal of the day and a steps or many steps to reach the goal of the week...
Each day you'll redefine your goals for the dayn for the week...

Third you will find a way to have fun by doing this...

Redefine your goals help you to stay focused - set up mini goals will help you to achieve your main goals - Have fun will help you to avoid procrastination...

Finally find a Coach or a partner -or someone who could motivate you each week...

To achieve goals, you should be able to focus on applying your knowledge and capabilities to reach it and certainly make it happen. One factor that would help make it easier is to take enough time. Time management would help you enhance your focus as you get along the learning and application stages in your life. Plus, taking the time to stop and think of what you can do to change for the better is one of the most challenging parts.

Thus, keep your time focused and precious by eliminating the less important "wants" that's on your To-Do list by now.

    I hope that helps!

    1. Breakdown the goal into minigoals
    2. DO timeshare-breakdown your time during teh day when you do a particular task
3.Outsource/delegate some functions that you are not best at
4.Work like an entrepreneur-Steer the ship but dont get too involved in running the cogs

    Take a break...
I know it's counterintuitive, but if you aren't feeling the drive, then you aren't doing the thing that you want to do. You are only going to hurt yourself and your productivity by slowly picking at what drive you have left. Take a break, however long you need, and wait until you realize what it is you want to do.

...Then, figure out a way to capitolize on it! xD
