Getting your Squidoo lens indexed

Hi guys,

I've made 3 squidoo lenses the last 5 days, and none of them is indexed by Google yet.

Would you know how long it takes for search engines to index a squidoo lens? Do you have any tips on how to get indexed faster?

Hi Michael,

Here's what I would recommend:

1. Make sure your lenses are not still marked as WIP.
2. Ping your lens to the blogosphere.
3. Join some good related groups.
4. Submit your lens to directories* and social bookmarking sites.
5. If you have a blog, write a post about your lenses.
6. Link to your lenses from your forum signatures.

* There are some special directories especially for Squidoo lenses,
such as Lensroll, Squidoo Kingdom and Squoogle.

Correct, ping your lens, and try to put your published links anywhere on
popular websites so that Google will index them faster.
Use social bookmarking site to bookmark your lens, stumble them.
Post your link on forums as well.

  My lenses got indexed a few hours after I posted this, so that's great. Now I'll still get backlinks to them so they can rise higher in the SERPs.

As far as 'on-lens' stuff, remember that all module titles and subtitles are considered <H1> and <H2> tags, therefore very important in the SERPS.

Therefore use your target keywords in the module titles as well as adding them as tags to you lens.

Did you ever hear about the "Squidoo-Ladder"?.....you can rank your lens really high in Squidoo using the "ranking traffic" concept....and then you will rank high in Google for many of your keywords...
