Made my first buck online by starting a wso.

I'm a motion graphics artist working in TV. Thanks to some encouragement from the guys here, and from you guys, I started a WSO and made more money than I thought I would make in about a months time.

It took me two weeks to setup. I had about $100 bucks to put into this. I built my animation templates. I bought a domain name at namescheap.com. I got a free weebly site since I couldn't afford a hosting solution or web designer. I got a friend to help me write my copy and sales letter. I got a paypal account and set that up. I got an account on emailme.com to set up all of my customer forms. Right when I got ready to launch...my computer caught a virus and I got set back about a week trying to clean it off. Then the internet in my apartment complex went out and that put me behind another 4 days. I was so frustrated and down to my last 20 bucks in my pocket. Finally I got everything back up and running and I posted my WSO in the forum.

I immediately got 10 jobs right off the bat which paid off all of my expenses and then some. I've been working in the morning, on my lunch breaks and every evening finishing up jobs. It was a greater response than I anticipated and it was a struggle to get it all done. In retrospect I would have started with a smaller number of clients, but now I have a workflow down to handle it. I'm just glad that people gave me a chance on me and my work. I'm also thankful for all the positive support on this forum. Thanks guys. I'm looking forward to creating my next WSO, now that I have some idea of what I'm dealing with.

That's awesome keep producing quality stuff and your never have to hunt hard for customers. They will seek you out, just remember to keep your word when setting production time turn-arounds. Otherwise things can turn real quickly. Keep up the good work.

Great job on the sales, congratulations! I admire the artistry of your work. It really looks very cool.

If you offer a new look for video titles each month, you might wind up with clients who are fans that buy month after month. I imagine that there might be some people willing to pay ten months' worth ahead, in order to reserve a slot for themselves each month in the coming year. They get a discount for prepayment, you get capital to expand your business. A recent thread asked whether $500 WSO's are possible. With your creativity, you might well be able to presell subscriptions in a way that's great for everyone.

If you come to the NAB show, you might be able to get a lot of clients at once!
