I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO REVEAL THIS. THE REPURCUSSIONS I"LL HAVE TO FACE

I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO REVEAL THIS. THE REPURCUSSIONS I"LL HAVE TO FACE WILL BE HELL. But I badly want to let it out. It's not from me but I know that it's something that came from my inside.

"Life, Internet Marketing, Chicks And Everything Else is just a Computer Game."

Nothing really exists when it comes to computer games. But we tend to enjoy 'em and play it with passion.

None of these things exist in the real world too. All of it is just an illusion. If you fail, hit the reset button and try again.

YOU ARE THE GAMER. YOUR MISSION IS TO FINISH ALL THE LEVELS COMPLETELY FOR YOUR CHARACTER.

But sadly, WE CAN NEVER COMPLETE THE GAME FULLY. It's not over even if we live for two thousand years or reincarnate 2000 times. THAT"S WHY ENLIGHTENMENT IS REAL HAPPINESS.

True Enlightenment is something you can never get. The journey just goes on and on. Like they say,
"The Journey not the destination that brings us happiness."
All of us are characters controlled by our minds and souls. We control 'em.

We have been programmed to hesitate in our decision making. But when you play a computer game, you just act on your thoughts and are fully one hundred percent in the present moment. You act with no hesitations especially computer games like First person shooter(Project IGI, CRYSIS,etc.)

GET RID OF THE EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TO YOUR CHARACTER AND HIS OUTCOMES. IF YOU FAIL, TRY AGAIN. DIE TRYING IN THE ACT.

The trouble with making an absolute statement like that is that it ruins a perfectly good analogy. Because you have never achieved true enlightenment doesn't prove others haven't. Because you have never achieved true enlightenment doesn't prove no one can.

And what is true enlightenment anyway? Enlightenment has several definitions. And is there false enlightenment? By definition, that wouldn't be enlightenment, would it? Couldn't a person could have enlightenment about one thing? I doesn't mean you have to have a perfect understanding of everything in the universe.

Nice story though. Especially your final conclusion: "GET RID OF THE EMOTIONAL ATTACHMENT TO YOUR CHARACTER AND HIS OUTCOMES." That comment is an enlightened comment!

Enlightenment is a journey. There's always more. To improve, do and be. It's a journey that is extremely long and something which cannot be achieved that easily. It takes time.

If you think you are enlightened, you feel happy. Enlightenment is the state of perfect bliss. There's always more to experience. It is a state where you have access to all the worldly wisdom within you. You can never define enlightenment. That's why it's an endless journey.

      Some say:
      Enlightenment is everlasting happiness
Some say: It is A blessed state in which the individual transcends desire and suffering and attains Nirvana.
Some say: It is genius(Combination of worldly wisdom and education a.k.a worldly intuition and your conscience.)
Some say: Enlightenment is when you have achieved all your desires. Every wish you've had, all of it fulfilled. But alladin had his genie to fulfil his wishes yet he never was fulfilled
It can also be durable fulfillment.

I don't mean to over rule your idea or anything. I'm 16 and just spoke my mind. What I know and What I've Learnt from my life. That's all. Thanks for your other post on when things go wrong.

Man, I really really liked your analogy and that last paragraph is actually kinda profound. And you're only 16? Wow....I am not worthy...lol. (57 here) I have to agree with Dennis that is is unlikely that we could know that true enlightement is not attainable, but it's good to voice your personal insights, cause at least you are "looking" where so many people don't. These are the discussions that help to stir people's souls.

I have had a few key moments when I feel like I came as close as I may ever come to enlightenment. They were profound and words can only point to them. Enlightenment is experiental (spelling?) and we can only be pointed towards it or talked around it I think from what I've studied. My brief experiences reflected a profound sense of everything is ok, and will be ok, sort of a deep acceptance of all that is and just "being". Sorta like moving through time without moving, just being totally "now". I wish I could always exist in that state. Even though not pure enlightenment, I'm sure, those experiences were close enough for me to glimpse how wonderful it might be.

I think there is great value in your observations. Personally I think one of the flaws in some spiritual writings can be that so many were written in a different time or context. Even though the information is timeless, there is value in people uncovering glimpses of "what is and might be" and relating them in a current context. This can help other people to "get it" or part of it when maybe nothing else is striking a chord within. (Kinda like spinning an article in marketing, same basic info but different words) I think most of your post approaches that. Maybe not perfect, who am I to say really, but cool to ponder for sure. (old gamer here too)

I can't accept all of the post, especially the "chicks" being lumped in with marketing and life, though I get what you are trying to say. (I am a guy by the way). Just that relationships run deep and partners are or can be profound co-creators experiencing and sharing this "game" equally with another. I always loved the game theory of life. I came across the idea many years ago that life is a game and why. It has goals, obstacles, problems, and rewards, etc. all the elements of playing a giant game. You can really get into that concept if you think about it. The best part of reflecting on that is it takes away much of the threat and fear involved in living life, which causes the hesitation you spoke of. The ability to put our fears of life in that context is actually a cosmic viewpoint that I have always found helpful.

Anyway, kudos my man. Certainly food for thought that I gladly digested today!

I like your post and conclusion too.
It's another way of saying "Perception is everything".

But I nearly didn't click on it because of the overdramatic title.

@ tylerdrun - Hi Tyler. It's very encouraging to see someone as young as you are to have as much understanding about life as you do. You are indeed wise beyond what your years would indicate. Enlightenment, as a journey, may indeed be a never ending quest.

There are many stages of enlightenment though, which are attainable otherwise we would not make the quest. That's why I suggested not to use absolute statements in your writing. What you really meant was probably total enlightenment, rather than true enlightenment, which would be a much more accurate statement because total enlightenment would be God status, while true enlightenment could be about any stage of enlightenment we attain.

Anyway, keep up the good work. You've added value to this forum. Just be careful about using absolutes, eh? More often than not they are easily refuted.

For sure....Game Theory is life. They really are the same thing

    Crazy but true.
Things aren't chaotic in life. The Psychology and Patterns that we pick up in games are the same ones seen in nature.....which means it's a universal concept.

Tah duh! The answer to an awesome life is to get reallly good at game theory : p

Soo funny. It's alright though...I see life as a playground anyways. It's silly NOT to have fun
