Hey warriors

personally I'm not much of a tv watcher but I do enjoy a good movie now and then. A thread dedicated to mentioning any movies that inspire motivate and make you feel good may be worth a shot around here.

I liked rocky balboa

I also don't watch tv but I make sure to watch these DVDs a couple times during the month:

    The Pursuit of Happyness
    The Shift (Wayne Dyer)
    Conversations with God
    Peaceful Warrior
Touch the Top of the World (about the blind man who scaled Mt Everest)

    The Secret
Both good followups to The Secret
Awakening (LPU -I work with them)
Beyond Freedom (PMG - I used to work with them)

I normally watch movies, TV features or DVD for entertainment. Just to get away from the seriousness of writing. But some did touch me. In Pursuit of Happiness is one.

Awesome Guys, thanks so much for sharing! I haven't seen some of those movies, but will be sure to watch them one day. I think this thread is cool because one can refer back to it at any time.

    More "Warrior-Type" Movies:

I only loved two movies...movies that inspire me to become a warrior inside!

      The Patriot (Mel Gibson)
      The Last Samurai

Loved The Patriot because they really portray the true meaning of love for your country. The Last Samurai is extremely good, along with the true meaning of honor. A battle without honor is meaningless.

        The Patriot...best movie ever made!

I also like the one with Al Pachino when they are selling sports betting advice. I forgot the name but it's a good 'pump up' movie.

Wall Street too. It's kind of funny how Wall Street was made to make the real Wall Street look like evil, greedy people, but seriously...who wouldn't love to be Gordon Gecko.

The Fountain. Not your typical inspirational film but the visuals blow you away and it just makes you wanna do something important.

    Definitely one to watch.

You guys need to see Invictus, now there's an awesomely inspirational and motivating movie! Morgan Freeman is awesome in it and I'm not sure how popular rugby is in the states but I think Matt Damon played the part of Francois Pienaar (South African rugby team Captain) very well!

All great movies that can really lift you up, seriously.

I think that your life can be just as great. In fact, I think it can be even more inspiring, motivating and more AWESOME than any 'ol movie can ever be. YOUR story. I know you know this, being a warrior and all... but just letting you know YOU are AMAZING. I mean that.

Notice how most of our heroes always "dive into the unknown" before achieving unstoppable success & ultimate fulfillment? What does this mean?

    Keep 'em comming!

For me, it don't necessarily have to be entire movies. Through out the day, whenever I need a little bit of inspiration or motivation I love to watch short videos with a powerful message that really get me fired up!

      Yeah I hear that!

Especially since most of us spend a significant amount of time in front of a computer screen most days, sometimes the last thing we think of as relaxing or fun is spending more time in front of another screen (unless it's a blue ray on your brand new LED-HDTV with digital surround sound - kidding LOL - well...kind of!)

Feel free to post any clips you would deem valuable and inspirational in this thread. I think it's awesome. It could be a cool "resource thread", ya know...

"Miracle" (today, Feb 22, is the 30th anniversary of that hockey game!)
"Pursuit of Happyness" (title is deliberately misspelled)
        "Remember the Titans"
        "Chariots of Fire"
        "Apollo 13"
"Facing the Giants" (see the "Death Crawl" scene)

Inspiration is great, but whats your next step? There are too many inspired poor people on this planet.

I know its been flogged to death, but if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.

There are some fabulous movies mentioned, many of which I have seen and been inspired by.

If you haven't watched it then I highly recommend Patch Adams- awesome. Love and laughter, powerful tools in the world of medicine.

Maybe you can add some value by making a thread about taking action.

P.S. The best action is INSPIRED Action. If your actions aren't inspired, then they're probably taking you down the wrong path.

So what GREAT movies have inspired you over the last year or two?

Here's one of my favourite scenes from the movie "42", telling part of Jackie Robinson's story:

In the face of great adversity, Jackie Robinson persevered, inspired millions, and helped change baseball as well as the world forever!
