A month ago I thought I'd never start earning...

Hey guys. I know it's not much of a story, but it's my story!

Just over a month ago I started doubting this whole thing and was ready to drop it all and move on with my life doing other stuff, but luckily, a voice kept telling me not to quite because I'm getting close! And of course, those quotes are always handy.

Most people give up just when they're about to achieve success. They quit on the one yard line. They give up at the last minute of the game, one foot from a winning touch down. ~ Ross Perot

Anyway, I stopped myself from quitting and moved on.

First let me tell you about the mistakes that you should really try to avoid and that I made;
  • Invested $900 and not applying what I learned. At the beginning I had $900 that I was ready to invest in order to learn and I lost most of the money with PPC-Coach and the rest on some stupid tools. I suppose I learned a lot over there, but didn't manage to earn anything.
  • Read too much and watched too many videos. I just kept reading and reading until I'd find some shortcut that will make money by doing just a little bit of work. But guess what? In 10 months that shortcut didn't come...
  • Afraid to experiment. I wanted some course that tells you exactly what to do and you replicate that and money will be made. But you always have to use your head. And you shouldn't be afraid to do that.
  • I didn't do anything. That's right. Didn't do anything that could make money, or started something but never finished it.
  • But then... I told myself - STOP! Just STOP and do IT. Do something! Anything!

And that's how my success story started. I decided to get a few tools that I will need for my business to make it go faster and then that's will be it. I started building sites, and believe it or not, in about 40-50 days I've made 18 sites! (that's a lot, right?)
Maybe this number doesn't seem that impressive to you, but for someone who just read eBooks for 10 months it is a pretty good thing. I'm not saying it's wrong to read eBooks, but try finding some that you know will deliver. And for Devil's sake, DON'T just read eBooks for months!

And here's how those 18 sites ranked:
  • 4 on 1st page
  • 2 ranked #3
  • 4 ranked #2
  • 8 ranked #1
Before, I thought ranking #1 is impossible, but now I just know how possible it is if you put a few hours of work into it. I have 3 niches that make me money from AdSense on a daily basis. I won't tell you how much, I'll just tell you that three days ago I got my check of $4,783 sent to my address ! And I'm waiting for Amazon to credit me on that card of theirs.

I'm not stopping here. I'll continue to build my empire of micro niche blogs. And because I love to write, I decided to write an eBook that will be incredibly detailed and will be perfect for those who were like me, starters.

And, one last thing:
Success seems to be connected with action. Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit. ~ Conrad Hilton

    Hi Carville,
Great post and it sounds so so familiar. Sometimes patience and persistence is all that is needed never mind the shiny new offers presented in front us all tempting us to try the next thing.
The only way I feel to succeed is to plan your days and target your work as there are many distractions online.

So true. It's not the method of making money that's important. It's your drive and will power. If you are focused enough, then you'll make money doing anything.

Yes, I truly believe people make great money from EVERY SINGLE money making method out there. So, the potential is there. The important part is the drive and determination to figure out how to make whatever method you are doing, work.

I like that, Caville ~ it's one of the things I remember the most about the first time I saw James Arthur Ray speak on The Secret. He said most people plant the seeds but aren't patient enough for them to sprout. The keep trying, keep believing, keep putting doubt aside, then finally, one day, after a few months, they give up ~ they say "this isn't working, I quit" and the universe says "Your wish is my command" and the sprout that was ends up never breaking the surface.

That's all jumbled up ~ not a direct quote ;-) ~ but it's basically what you said: don't stop believing, trying, working, failing and trying again, because the only real failure is in giving up.

    Just don't stop.

You're exactly right ~ and thanks for sharing your story.

    Rebecca

(ps: I like your quotes ~ I've got a few favorites, too)

Good Job Caville. Congratulations. I think you can feel if your product would be worth $4 or $6 or if you feel that giving it free will provide the most value. You have the answer to that one. My only advice is to consider the pros and cons of both (IE if you give it away free, people underestimate it OR of course the opposite could be true and people will totally appreciate you MORE, etc....)

Thanks for sharing your story with everyone at WF! I am kind of in the same boat that you were in that I have been getting all the info I need, reading everything and watching videos etc and havn't done all that much. I have now got 25 articles written for a niche I heavily researched, the domain purchased and now am deciding weather to turn 15 of the articles into a short ebook and use the other 10 to blog / promote the site or weather to do something different. We all need a kick up the butt sometimes and be reminded that you won't get anywhere without ACTION! so cheers, i'm going to make sure I do at least one thing today!

Advice, don't make this thread turn in to an advertisement for a new WSO you are releasing, or you'll likely be banned as I've noticed this happening to posters a few times.

Does it look like I'm trying to do that? I'm really not and if I'd want to advertise my product which is not even ready yet then I would use the WSO forum which is just around the corner.
In case it did looked like I was trying to do that - comment about eBook deleted. I don't want to leave the wrong impression

mooloo, I used to get all my attention directed to one site, which is wrong. Get more sites ready and work on all, not just on one. If you only work on one it might give you the feeling that you're doing work, doing something, but that's probably not enough. And even if you're trying to dominate just that one niche, get a few more sites. Try different keywords.
I also made this mistake, I practically got engaged to one of my sites and lost valuable time. That site is now ranked #1, but I've build too many linkwheels around it and lost a lot of time. Get rid of those 25 articles fast! Do whatever you think is right to do. If you want to to an eBook but don't do it now, you'll probably end up making an eBook later out of some other articles, so whatever you do - it's fine. Just DO it!

Great post. Just what I need to read. I am just getting to the "Do Something, Anything" stage. Created my first site last night. I hope to be telling your story myself soon. I finally figured out I can't get paid by reading and watching. I have to just do it. Jeff

Yes Soo True. It would be interesting if there was a way to see which Warriors were the smartest and graph that against the amount of money each person makes. I think the results may be a bit surprising, and that a lot of brilliant people Warriors and non warriors know a ton but havent taken the action to make a ton.

Would be awesome if that graph were possible.

This is a good thread. Action is definitely the key, and sustained action at that. Wasted a lot of time online before I figured that out!

To me this sounded like another e-book promotion

But anyways inspiring story and I tottally agree that taking action is most important. I have the same problem I read too much, but I still make money too.

So for guys if you listen to his advice you also shouldn't buy the e-book haha, he said so you should quit reading and take action.

    Nice story.

    Hey,

Thanks for the advice. It's true that we read a lot and do nothing. Am a newbie and sometimes we hear that you have to read. Without action there will be no results and it does not matter how much you read.

    Thanks again.

    • And to think that I almost bought another WSO because it's been

a week and I still haven't made money from a WSO I paid for.

It's a good thing people like you are posting your experiences

in this forum to help and keep us IM newbies motivated to

      persist.

Man, thanks Caville! So guys, if you have experiences like these

then post them for God's sake. You'll never know that you might

inspire and influence other newbies like what Caville has done

      to me right now.

    Great post Caville.

I'm sure you'll inspire alot of newbies to keep on keeping on because when they do success will happen. We hear time & time again from the top earners in this amazing industry how they failed their way to making it big.

Love your quotes & one of my favourite ones is from Watson of IBM when asked "what's the secret to your success?" His reply was "double your rate of failure".

    Cheers

Hell, I'm STILL reading lol. But I'm getting quite ancy to start. I've got a product, keyword, domain and direction for writing my articles. I've just got to implement it all. My fear is trying it and seeing utter failure, so I suppose I'm reading alot to try and make sure I'm doing the right thing.

But thanks for sharing your story! Glad to know I'm not the only one who does/did that.

    Cheers!

This is a great post. It's taken me a long time to learn those things, too, but I think I'm finally there. The biggest message I get from your post is to take action, complete the things you start, and remember to do things in a way that works for YOU.

Agreed.Great post. You're right about spending months reading ebooks and watching videos, you obviously need to learn but if you're not putting the knowledge into action then you'll never achieve anything with it.
Getting out of your 'comfort zone' is the tricky bit but with a bit of effort you can make it habitual, but only you can make that choice to push the 'start button'.

It's strange how many people put a label on themselves and think that they are not good enough or "it's not working". Once you get past the obstacles you will see it was worth it. It's not always to be that hard to make money online. You just have to get the ball rolling

It is so inspiring to read of your success, just when you thought of giving up on everything. I know I currently feel just like that. My IM just seems to be stagnent, and I feel quite demoralised. Still there is a voice keeps telling me one more day, and hopefully the next day, there will be a sign up to my list or possibly even a sale. Yesterday was my worst day, nothing was happening and my internet had crashed, I was in a furious temper with it all, just kept thinking about all the hard work I had put into it, and still nothing, but you have to keep going.
