The Parable Of Talents

Hi Everyone,

After reading this blog by Brian Tracy which some of you may have read since it is 2 years old I felt the need to share.

It did touch something in me and it also caused me to stop for a moment and assess the way I look at my life and world.

If it does make a difference to even one person here then posting this would have been worthwhile. Reading it may open your mind like it did mine.

An excellent story. If you haven't read it, you definitely should.

Thanks for the link. I'm familiar with the concept but never read
a good explanation with clear examples of how to implement it,
    before.

    That was good.

Here's a good illustration of the phenomenon of reticular activation.
Think about something like blue cars, or a particular make and model
of a car. Try to think about it for 30 minutes. Not as easy as you
think! But if you do that, and keep it in your consciousness, you'll
notice blue cars or whatever make and model car during your day.

They'll "stand out" more than other cars. I've tried that and it really
worked. I noticed the thing I thought about in my day than anything
    else.

This is very true I recently made a commitment to write a daily blog for the next 365 days and you would not believe how information about blogging just seem to keep popping up in front of me.

Even in my always over crowded inbox I seem to be noticing all the mail about blogging more than any other mail.

So I guess Mr Tracy has a real valid point there.

It is certainly a good blog post. It misses the point of the parable though...

    best,
