Be a believer and achieve anything!

Hey guys and girls. I was just talking with an old friend of mine. He is going through a rough time financially right now and he was asking me for some advice. I knew exactly how he felt because I was unemployed and nearly evicted from my house just 6 months ago.

I went through some options he could take to make money quick. A lot of the things I said to him made me really think about what I've learned so far about really achieving your goals.

More then anything else, you have to BELIEVE that what you dream of achieving is going to happen. Not that it could happen. Not that it might happen. You have to KNOW that it WILL happen.

I started reading learning about achieving your dreams and success techniques a couple years ago. When I first started learning about it, I thought it was so lame. I felt like it was all stupid principles that would never work.

How could telling myself in the mirror every night that I'm going to be a millionaire make me a millionaire?

Well, let me tell you what all these techniques are really about. They are designed to trick your mind. When you know for a fact you are going to pay off your house mortgage in the next 5 years, your brain does a funny thing. It finds a way to achieve this. It finds a way because you believe this dream. You're not going to let it not happen.

It's amazing what you can achieve when you put your mind to full use.

I just wanted to post this so you guys can start believing. Read some Stephen Covey or David J. Schwartz. Once you get in the right mind frame, there's no stopping you.

thanks mate. This just made me realise, I've never consistently spoke affirmations to myself everyday althought I've been meaning to for ages. I guess because of reading it in think and grow rich i thought I'd wait till i knew exactly what i wanted. it was a form of procrastination. I will now commit to saying affirmations every day for the next month twice a day.

    Thanks!

I agree. Set low goals and you may or may not achieve them and in the end you wont be better off. Set high goals and you may or may not achieve them but you WILL be better off in the end.

The mind is soooo powerful, translate that power into helping yourself both personally and professionally. My opinion anyway.

When you are a believer, you attract more positive energy and as a result, the positive item that you've wished for, such as becoming a millionaire.

You have to truly believe that you can make this happen and it will come to pass. I lost jobs and experienced temporary unemployment in my life. At first, I was devastated, but once that negative feeling passed, I moved on and imagined myself with a better-paying job consistently. I also told myself that I could get what I wanted.

Long story short, I did get higher-paying jobs. Had I just sat around feeling sorry for myself and remaining in a deep funk, I would have only attracted more negativity and more failure.

The idea of believing is very powerful, as it involves surrendering, or confidentally feeling that good will prevail (not giving up) instead of always trying to control. In the greater scheme of things, there is a reason for everything, positive and negative thing that happens.

I was in the same boat about 2 years ago. I lost my job, my home and my car. I believed in myself, kept a positive state of mind through it all, and now I am doing better than I was before.

Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another.

I definitely agree that positive thinking is the ultimate key to achieving your goals! Also, I really liked the concept in Petelta's comment that if you use affirmations to trick your mind, your brain finds a way to make it happen!

petelta, this is a top post mate. Your contributing some real good stuff to the forum.

I totally agree with what you're saying. The great thing we all have is the ability to take control of our own mind, and the thing is, it's the most powerful thing you have control over. Knowing this alone, can help you in any area of your life, whatever you choose to do.

      Thanks

    • I also had the same experience of thinking that all this

mumbo-jumbo, "NEW AGE" stuff doesn't work.

I would try it for 4 days and I would say that, "This stuff

is BS! Success can't be achieved by saying these stupid

      phrases and doing this meditating!"

But then eventually, I decided to give it a try for a longer

period of time and guess what? It worked.

I actually got money from someone unexpected.

Now, I'm utilizing these mind tools to generate phenomenal

success in IM which at the moment, I haven't achieved yet.

Currently, I'm listening to a hypnosis recording to eliminate

my self-limiting beliefs. I found out yesterday that I was

afraid of success. I never realized that.

Good luck to all of us.

      Godspeed!

      Cheers,
      Alfonso

Believing that it can be done, and telling yourself that it can be done is not enough. The real power comes from the action that these things can bring. Without action, nothing is ever achieved. Discipline, being able to control your actions and your thoughts, is where the real power sets.

This is how I see it.

Doug, you are absolutely correct. I definitely agree with that.

And once you believe that you can really do it, you will take

        action
        .

Getting rid of your self-limiting beliefs, installing a

positive one, and reinforcing it will create

        unbelievable confidence.

Once you have confidence, you will take action.

And I think that's a really undeniable fact.

Would you be sulking in the dark and moping that

you are failure if you absolutely believed that you can

        never fail? Right?
