How do you start, and actually stick with it??

Hi Beau and welcome to Warrior Forum, you may get more of a response it you post this in the main form section.

I agree it can seem very difficult and disheartening, especially if you are not yet seeing results. I am wondering whether the niches you chose for your blogs and products are very competitive, ie Internet Marketing? It can be very hard for a newbie to break into these kind of niches and compete with the top guys, at least at first.

Maybe you could try looking at a popular but less competitive niche which you could dominate without much capital? Do you have any interest of hobbies where you could supply valuable information to other enthusiasts?

Lots of folks on here have worked and worked before seeing financial gain, so look on any time you spend now on your business as an investment in your future- which will pay off as long as you keep at it.

Take the time to have a good browse through this forum, there is a lot of excellent advice and threads in the main forum section on how people who are new to IM can make a start. If you choose just one method and focus on that then you will hopefully be able to avoid information overload- you obviously know about creating blogs so maybe aim to learn all you can about that and put it into practice. Congratulations on already making a start- this has already put you ahead of many newbies! Remember- never give up!

I have had similar experiences to what you are going through.

In my experience the most important things are mindset and fundamentals.

When I was having little or no success my mind/thinking was fear driven. Even when I got sales I couldn't enjoy it. I would worry about details and not get anything done.

I suggest that you slow down and work a plan. You need clarity and some goals. Then take daily action to achieve these goals.

It sounds like you have more than enough skill and experience, but aren't feeling good about what you are doing. Feel good about what you are working towards and have the belief that you can do it. It is just a matter of time before something will get you results. Mindset is extremely powerful - make sure yours is in the right state.


Since I change my mindset (about 6 months ago) I have made better decisions that are resulting in a cashflow that is giving me the lifestyle I want. You have got to have a excited, but controlled and focused mind. You'll really struggle if you have a fear/scarcity mindset.

Fundamentals - this is really important and often overlooked. Forget all the new flash stuff and go back to basics. You have got to slow down and go back to fundamentals of IM.

Do plenty of research, help people with their problems, learn from others and make a simple product that will solve a problem.

You should also network and help like-minded people. You can't learn and do all of this by yourself. Get out and mix with people.

Also, try to see failure as a step closer to success. I have had plenty of failures. It is all part of the learning curve.

Don't give up the dream! Feel good about what you are doing. You will get there. Just slow down and get some focus.

As was said previously, you can have all the knowledge in the world, but if you don't use it, it's worthless.

Plan out what you are doing (and put this post in the main section), then mind map it out. If you don't have mind mapping software, just search for it. There are free as well as paid versions out there. I use a paid version called "Mind Manager by Mindjet".

In my mind maps, I then allocate completion dates and remember, what you do does not have to be perfect - you can always improve it later.

But before you start, make sure there is a market for what you are proposing to sell - once again, ask the main forum for all the help you need.

You all are just awesome. I truly appreciate your helpful natures and giving me actual info. I posted here because I figured this would be the best place to get motivational/mind issues, rather than the main forum. I'll redo this post at some point when I put more thought into the actual blocks im dealing with and get some steps in order for a plan. Planning/etc is sorta a BS excuse for just trying to figure stuff out..but thats what I have to do. Gotta focus on myself a bit and think about how to do this thing. I wanna kick ass, I MUST kick ass so I can make abetter life for my wife and future family. That's the kick in the butt I need, and damn it I'm gonna do it!

I was wondering if you've tried meridian tapping or EFT to try to get rid of your blocks? Alot of people will say that it's rubbish and you may feel silly doing it to start with but I find it really helps. You can download a free manual to learn it(it's not hard) from www.emofree.com. And there are examples of it that you can just watch and tap along on youtube. Procrastination has been one of my problems too and focusing but the tapping really helps me - plus it takes your mind off worrying about what you're not getting done!!

Here's one link you can look at for that . You can also do tapping for fear of failure/fear of success if you search for those!

Hope these things can help you. It might just give you the boost you need to get started acting instead of learning.

EFT... It's weird but it works. There's one particular EFT pattern video I downloaded off youtube and copied over to my ipod. Do it once in the morning and once at night.

I'm not affiliated with the product at all, I just found it to be helpful and empowering.

The key is forward momentum. Once you are on momentums side, then its much easier, the trick is getting yourself into gear and up to good speed, thats where momentum takes over.

So just start taking baby steps forwards continually. Dont stop. Baby step your way forward every day. Just keeping this momentum going forward will help uncover opportunities. Even if you have no idea where forward is, just keep taking baby steps. Its amazing how people get "lucky" and "discover secrets" when they baby step forward. Things will start coming to you.

Some very interesting concepts on here but all of them will work if you believe that they will work. I think that you just have to come up with a plan and know exactly what it is that you will be doing next, step after step. Always know what comes next and find yourself a good coach.

hmm....well my advise is go through the "The Law of Success" at the pace of 1 lesson a week

"Even though I have this feeling, I deeply and completely accept myself... " meditating on this wouldn't be a bad idea...

Determine your own worth and begin to live it. Don't let anyone project their idea of what you're worth...

Also, don't let yourself create untruths about yourself. You create your own residual reality...

personally, i think of the end result of the hard work, knowing that in the end it will all pay off, and i tell myself, if i do not put in the work, then there will be absolutely no change, no advancements and no sales , so know that when you go hard and consistently that you can enjoy the success at the end of the tunnel and continue on knowing that you're doing something that will contribute to you putting yourself in a better position and towards reaching your goals
