How much money have you made today?

And how long have you been involved in IM?
Just that really, could make a lot of people who doubt themselves realise that making money online is within anyone's reach.. Not just the Guru's...

To everyone's success..

    1 year .... I made about $13 today

At about $110 so far today. Been at IM for about 2 years. Now I have lots of "hooks in the water", including lots of small sites that make small money, and some good steady earners. Still have my day job and do IM at night and on weekends.

To the OP: I've researched the site-portfolios of many of the Gurus, and believe most of them probably made next to nothing before deciding to sell junk to newbies. To be fair, there are some good ones out there, but not many.

It's the quiet one's you've got to watch . . . ;-) They are the ones with the heads down, cranking out sites and moving on to the next site.

Correct, a lot of these "gurus" only make money by selling garbage make money eBooks teaching newbies how to make money online by selling garbage make money eBooks

I could become a "guru" if i wanted to but there's more money to be made away from the make money market

But the money you made today doesn't really matter, doesn't show a lot, you have to calculate the last 3 months or so.. Maybe someone just put out an ebook on the WSO today.... got many sales.. but it won't happen everyday

I was simply replying to the OP's question -- certainly there are always fluctuations in revenue. I would be hesitant to get into divulging monthly or quarterly income. However, with lots of sites and a diversity of niches and monetization (and hard work almost every day), I have been able to see steady growth. I would not want to put all of my eggs into any one basket. Diversification is key.

I never disclose any forms of revenue on any forum or the internet fullstop as you cannot tell who is reading these forums so the only people that have access to my earning are my accountant and myself. Its better to be safe than sorry but what i will say it has to be worth me getting out of bed in the morning.

I never like to share dollar amounts either... to me its like some one asking to see my paystub from my day job... we would never do that....

Since I consider IM a career now.... what I make falls in the category of (none of anybody's business....)

I understand why people are reluctant to share their revenue online... Probably when I start making some real money I will be too. =)

But for now I don't care, I know how it's like when you're just starting out and the curiosity hits, and you want to know if other people are successful and how long it took for them to get there..

However, I think what one has earned in a day (any single day) doesn't tell much. Earnings can fluctuate a lot.

What I can tell you is I registered my first domain name in July 2009 and in February I earned avg. $6,60 a day. I've $14 days and $0 days...

The most important I think is to think long term, and keep learning and improving.

Hmmm, Some interesting posts. I just joined the warrior forum probably 3 weeks or so,but never posted. I have been trying to I.M. since early 2000. Got disgusted and dropped out,but started up again sometime ago. My problem is I can't stick to any one project. I see this, I go here, I see that I go there. As far as making money, I can't make a living from it. Of course, that's my issue. I can see it happening for me,but how soon I cannot say. Although
I must be enjoying what I do because I sometimes sit at this computer for six, seven hours.

Oh, and thanks Adeel for the WF videos. Saved me some time learning the WF rules, setting up my profile, links, posting etc. Thanks again

There are people that make a lot of money on the inside as I like to say. Say people who just focus on doing CPA marketing.

There are people that make a lot of money selling products on the "outside" but that never actually do anything on the inside.

Then there are people that make a lot of money doing both. This is most likely where most people fall but I could be wrong.

And yes, not only do I not like to share income, but I've heard too many horror stories where this just came back to bite people in the behind. Most people who do well, don't share income...in my experience at least.

As a rule I don't give out my income figures, it just isn't anyone's business. Suffice it to say I've had an online business since 1997 and I do nothing else for a living.

Oh, and for the skeptics above, very little of my money comes from the make money online niche.

I make around $200/day online with various products/companies/websites I manage.

It took be a little over a year to generate this.. and a TON of cash out of my pocket. It just took me a while to realize that I was spending my money on traffic that I didn't need or that didn't help my business.

Listen what somebody else makes is irrelevant.

Its what you need or want to make that matters. If you've been in this gig for a while and you're not making the money you need, it means don't quit your day job yet and keep working at it.

Its just like opening a small offline business. Plan out what you need to do to hit your monthly profit requirements. Remember I said profit not revenue. I don't care what a lot of people say, in business, unfortunately, you gotta spend money to make money, so you're going to have expenses, focus on profits.

    Peace

      Uncmonk,

Your problem is in your frustration.

      You bought - how many website? - THREE...and haven't made a sale.

Step back, and think about why you haven't made a single sale.

Could it be your trying to promote 3 different websites at ONCE (now that's a crazy thought...)?

Focus is the name of the game. Master one area (niche), make it profitable, and THEN move on to the next step.

I might share the income I make from one business I do (to help others see the potential in the money to be made), but I don't share cumulative results in a forum - not even with my own family they have no idea.

I don't have anything to hide, but at the same time, I'm not eager to tell anyone how much money I make in any given day because it's just irrelevant.

What I will say...is that I do well enough to NOT have to work a 9 to 5...so well in fact, that I have COMPLETE freedom.

I would rather talk about ways to get more freedom in life than "how much money did you make, bob?"

Yes, you will spend money to make money. A big mistake I notice is a
fear to spend some for the possibility to make a lot of it.

I used avoid spending money to grow my business out of fear of not getting the investment back, and while sometimes true, when you hit it on the nail the right way - you win big time....

Now, I can't spend the money fast enough because the investment is worth it's weight in gold bullion bars.

Thanks everyone for your answers, some very good points here! I had been wondering for a while why people are so reluctant to say how much they're making, I've finally got my answer. I don't necessarily agree with everyone though as I think when people are employed, they feel their earnings reflect on how much their boss think they're worth.. However when you're working in IM I feel that what you're making is an achievement. I do respect people's opinions though and once IM becomes my main source of income, who knows what I'll be like...I might change my mind..

I made a decision in business (and personal lol). Never discuss how much money I make, politics, religion or sex

I admire people who say how much they earn, but you never know if someone is being honest or not. In this industry, each day is different, better to confirm how much has been made in a month etc.

The great thing about making money online is the growth online businesses can see. You can see a biz go from

    $0 month 1
    $10 month 2
    $100 month 3
    $15,000 month 4
    $100,000 month 5
    $400,000 month 6

Growth can be trmendous online compared to brick and mortar.

My wife and I do IM together helping each other out in 2 different Niches. She has launched her first ebook in a very small "sub-niche" last year and I am still working on my first launch (I have a day job to support our starting IM business). The first few months it was only 1 or 2 books per month - Since beginning of 2010 things are more in the 1-2 ebook per day region. Not enough to live on, but certainly a good start to build up from

We are still very new to this field, but the growth is encouraging - or as we say Proof of concept has been established ;-)

We don't sell to the "make money quick" crowd either btw.

just to let you know don't get caught up in that how I made 20 grand a day crap online. What they don't tell you is how much they spent to get that. Most of those guys that pull in 20k plus a week just with an opportunity are paying way over 1/2 of that in advertising.

Once I left my job or really quit I vowed I would always be my own boss and never looked back. I like making my own hours, providing value, and making all the money versus giving all my time to a job and making them money with little in return.

I have been at this deal for two weeks and have made a whopping $30. Small potatoes I know, but to me its just a numbers game. If 1100 people visited my website in that two week period and I made $30 then that tells me I just need to work on my SEO to ensure I get that number of visitors daily.

The way I see it is that its all about traffic. Produce something that people are interested in, do proper research and SEO and you WILL see results. While the notion of "build it and they will come" is a bit harder with the advent of SERPs, once you are found its just a simple game of keeping that snowball rolling...

I won't disclosed all my earnings but to contribute to this thread I will state the following:

    CPA Offers
    Net Revenue = $400
    Expense = $125
    Profit = $275

    my expenses are PPC ads

    Affiliate Marketing
    Net Revenue = $1,110
    Expense = $400
    Profit = $710

my expenses are PPC and Media Buys

So far today, with products that are not mine I have made around $985

These earnings are pretty consistent with my CPA offers, and vary a few hundred with my affiliate marketing.

When I have product promotions of my own, and at the 15th, and the end of the month earnings are extremely better due to membership fees, commission checks, etc.
