Running With a Vision

i made a major discovery sometime ago about how i can allow proper understanding of my vision to push me to act regularly on my projects.

I have a general life Vision and i have project Visions.

My project visions at every point in time must agree with my General life vision.

Before any project, i have written all that is involved for me to execute the project on paper and on my heart. So i see the end of the project before the start of the project.

With this consciousness, i have always crushed every obstacle on the way. Those obstacles cant stop me anyway because i can see the end already.

This is just to motivate somebody out there.

It has been working for me and i believe it can work for somebody out there.

What do you think and how has your visions helped you to overcome obstacles?

One simple quote that if you live by, you will achieve great things...

"When the why is big enough, the how will take care of itself"

    Keep focussed on the dream!

A Race car driver has amazing focus. They don't stop to watch the scenery go past or wonder what the crowd is thinking of them. If they take their eyes off the goal, what happens? They crash! Have that race car driver focus in things that are important in your life and you'll never ever subject yourself to other people's opinions.

Thank you for that post, Sesan - I enjoyed reading it!

Steven Covey says that everything is created twice; we first create something in our minds (design) and then we create it in reality (manufacture).

And on this subject, Brian Tracy says that the magic word is 'clarity'. The clearer our plans are, the easier it is to follow them.

Yeah, thats why our thoughts is very powerful. What we think and dream is the start of our journey to achieve our goals.
Don't let negative elements affect your thoughts and always have positive thinking and I'm sure that one day you will reach your goal successfully.
    Good luck.

  • True enough, vision is very important for long-term success.
It is going to show you where you should be heading.
Without vision, you will never know what you want to achieve over the
    long-term.

This is why every big and successful company knows that if they want
to do it better, they'll need to have a clear vision.

Visions, in my opinion, are strong, if not directly, correlated with passion. Having passion, true belief in your vision, is what allows you to run with this vision and make these ideas come to life.

If one stick to them. A short and great point to note. Having the vision(s) is one thing, sticking to it is another. I hope somebody can share what can really make us to stick to our vision.

Sesan, welcome to the forum. You raise an interesting point and maybe I can answer your question. As I mention in another thread visions are of 2 types. One is that of looking to the future with a desire to have everything you want. that is making heaps of money and living in clover. These are the visions that rarely work out unless one is totally focused and determined. Even then it may fail.

The other is that which just pops into you head for no reason, even when you are engaged in something completely different. It rarely has to do with making huge amounts of money but rather doing something as simple as inventing a new toy, or even a commodity for the nursery. Many have made millions out of these things.

Like too mother who invent stories for their children have become great classic authors and, like J.K. Rowlands, become billionaires as a result. I understand she was a single mum struggling to make ends meet when she strated writing the Harry Potter stories.

These visions come from somewhere other than copying the success of others. Its a case of what comes from within not from without.

          Norma, I agree!

"To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream, not only dream, but also believe." Anatole France

It all starts with having a vision (I also call it having a definition of what your success WILL be) of what your future WILL be.

With the blessings and opportunities presented upon the horizon of God's daily sunrise - IF one will take the time to learn how to see - there is simply no reason NOT to live a future of abundance, happiness and peace of mind.

That being said, allowing your mind to wander - to dream - lightens your emotional load by taking time to listen to what is in your head, heart and 'gut'. Listening to your dreams allows you to feel strong from the inside out and is a time to feel free from the influences of your environment. Not only does the peaceful solitude of dreaming promote good mental health, it is a good spiritual work out as well.

Your quiet time is the best opportunity to come to grips with who you are and what you're doing. It's a chance to gain perspective and insight into what is working in your life and what isn't. It's a chance to discover dreams and interests that may be hidden in your 'fog'. Quiet time allows you to take a much needed, deep, spiritual breath.

You have the power to redirect your life. You have the opportunity to set and achieve goals, to live your life independently, and to experience ultimate triumph in your living experience.

Your goals CAN be the beginning to your new future - IF you make them happen. No one else can make your goals become reality. Not your significant other, parents, boss, counselor, sponsor, governmental agency, or even your children. Only YOU can make the personal commitment to let your mind dream and then, define and live your definition of success.

Folks who are living their definition of success are able to do so because they:

          1) Continue to take the time to creatively dream
          2) Turn their daydreams into goals
          3) Plan for their achievement
          4) ACT on their plans

They develop, use and sharpen their God-given and learned talents and skills through dedication. And plain ole' hard work. Their breaks come from: 1. Having a personalized definition of independence and success 2. Creating realistic and supportive goals, and 3. By making the personal commitment - through their craving - to 'live' their daydreams, and - so can yours!

Unfortunately, people without a definition of success sit and wait for their dreams and wishes to turn into reality. Their future finds them much the same as they are today - with the same attitude, outlook and continued emptiness that always comes from waiting for unplanned tomorrows. The only thing they accomplish through waiting is the stark realization that all of their tomorrows have accumulated and become wasted yesterdays. Still, they continue to live their lives content with waiting for instead of working for their future.

There is no way to escape the inevitability of natural law. You will go forward, succumb to mediocrity, or even worse, fail completely. You have the choice of living in one of two different worlds. In a person's world who has no vision, there is only darkness and obscurity; total failure and catastrophe always seem to be right around the corner.

Conversely, in a person's world who has defined their success and is making it happen, there is bright sunshine; the fields are a brilliant green; the sky is blue and the prospects for personal and career success appear brighter each moment.

The free and easy choice of worlds is yours for the asking, and acting! All you have to do is re-open your mind to dreams of independence and become excited about your future as your choices are presented upon the horizon of the daily sunrise, define your success, set success-supportive goals, plan your achievement and act on your personal commitment.

If your reason behind your vision is strong enough then nothing can stop you.
With focus thrown in you can achieve your goal.

These two sentences really stuck out (for me) when reading this post. I've noticed in the past that if I started working on a project that was not in line with my overall vision (or values) then the project usually didn't go well. Even if they were successful they didn't feel right because they didn't align with my general vision/values. This was a very valuable lesson to learn!

Vision == Most important factor, in my opinion.

The greatest inventions and the biggest success is with people who have visions and follow them, against all "nay sayers" and all *supposed* barriers. If your vision is clear, so is your goal...and the rest is just a matter of time and finding the best way to reach this goal.

Very good point. You'll only have power and energy for a project if it agrees with your "core". The two support each other. I live by that.

Focus on what you want! Be grateful for where and what you already have (even if it's not where you want to be or don't have what you want). Be grateful and see yourself as already having, doing or being whatever your vision maybe. Most of all be happy and smile!

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (The Message) says, And then God answered: "Write this. Write what you see (the vision). Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run." You are using a spiritual law that works if you work it. Congratulations!

Thats a really nice quote. A similar quote I live by is "Your quality of life is measured by the quality of questions you ask" - or something similar along the lines. Keeping focus on your goals, even when you fail to meet those goals for the first or second time around, is important. Just keep pushing and you WILL get to a point that you're satisfied with. Thats always worked for me.
