How to think when doing online business!

Saw this somewhere the other day, I didn't make it up. Dealt with SEO and how I go about thinking on my SEO clients websites.

Two guys are in the jungle when they see a lion running towards them. Frantically, one of the men starts putting on his running shoes. Surprised, the other man says "What are you thinking, you can't outrun a lion!!!" "I don't have to outrun the lion," said the man, "I just have to outrun you."

What this makes me think of the old, "You might be better than me at most things but I will still beat you, because you will never work as hard as me." Now, keeping in mind working hard in itself is not the best answer. But if you do work hard and are pointed in the right direction, you will make things happen. I guarantee it.

What happened to this guys go-giver attitude lol....arent we supposed to work together and achieve great things....or maybe there is no way to outrun a lion.

Who knows, I guess the moral of the story is to buy some decent running shoes if you're spending some time in the jungle with your friend who only thinks about himself.

I dunno. I sort of feel like the internet is sooo massive, so abundant, that nobody has to get eaten by any lion and we can all do plenty well for ourselves. This isnt a zero sum game.

If everybody puts on their shoes and has some endurance, we can all outrun any challenge or animal out there!

    I agree with Kenster.

The Lion metaphor makes me feel like you can be a winner but from this competition based mindset...which I personally don't like. As Beth said: we need to work together to achieve great things. Then we all come out as winners.

I guess the story could be funny and at most clever, but I wouldn't want to have any friends that think that way lol.
