First of all welcome to the forum.

My driving force is my knowledge that I share with others who have less information about things than I do. Building websites and getting online was a side effect of this, consequently I am driven by a force beyond my control. It is called PASSION.

Sometimes it wakes me up during the night with ideas flooding my head and the urge to get going desperately trying to get me up at some ungodly hour to work on the computer. It used to work until reality taught me that sleep and rest is more important to completing my tasks than rushing in and belting out anything that comes to mind.

Thoughts need to be ponded over before they are put down on paper. Over the years you learn that what turns you on may be a put off to others. So what are those you are trying to reach requiring of you? That's my present motivation as I try to put my thoughts into the heads of others with the least amount of friction and argument possible.

Not everyone thinks as I do and those who have opposing views are entitled to them, although I often can't think of a good reason why? Harmony, honesty and forthright action is the way to go in any walk of life and especially over something as powerful as the Internet.

The end result is that a lot of time is spent now thinking about why people do the things they do and what are they hoping to achieve. I guess that drove me into looking at Internet marketing as an extension of my experience. It is, however, not the bee all and the end all of my being alive as other things have priority.

Exploiting my potential to the fullest. I believe I have a potential to achieve many things.. but owning my own business intrigues me. That is what drives me, to own a real bsuiness and show my family what I can do with my life..

And my passion is in helping people. Every day, I am thinking what I can do to make my team happy.

I've been researching IM and affiliate marketing since I was 17. Now 5 years later, I think im ready to get things started and be on my way. My motivation is my daughter. She will be here March 25th 2009 and I want her to have a wonderful life.

I, like many of the individuals that have posted here, consider my family my greatest motivators.

I have to tell you, I just recently started dabbling around with forums
and blogs. This is definitely the most response I have received from any
post. Thanks to all of you for your contributions.

One interesting thing that Motivates me is the negative stuff that
happens at work. When my truck breaks down an hour away from
delivery, the thought of getting home and working on my business
helps to relieve the stress. What Drives me in this situation is the
goal of Independence - knowing that I can have control of my own
destiny.

I've learned that being driven is not so pleasurable and fulfilling as doing the driving.

I've mastered the ability to no longer be pulled or pushed by any thought, but to forge my own decision without undue influence from a conditioned response or belief.

In short, I've developed my Will.

For me personally, the benefit is that I do not have to remember (resurrect a thought and its attending emotions) in order to move along. Rather, I move along simply because I've the power and freedom to do so, and there is no thought standing in my way as either obstacle or taskmaster.

Some might say, "Well, how do you stay motivated?"

My answer, "Motivation is not necessary when one operates by Power of Will."

It's about enjoyment of each moment.

My motivation comes from a passion for what I do.

My targeted nitch is something that I enjoy doing, and that is hiking, camping, fishing and spending time with my family. I took those interest, rolled them into a forum and things have been rocking and rolling ever since. Its the people that start fad sites, or spur of the moments sites that are most likely to lose interest later.

My motivation comes to me through family, friends and the people whom I've not encountered yet in my life. I have found that to be successful one has to be true to self.

I entered the internet marketing niche after spending time developing a website and learning that the support provided only goes so far. People say "okay now that you have built it go market it" but the even with the "tools" there if you don't have "skill" and the "knowledge of how to use them" then they are just tools kinda like the carpenter tool set you got for for Christmas, but you don't know how to be a user of those tools be it demographics, gender or age. We all need to start some where and to have a teacher that will teach and provide information to go with the tools. Helping others achieve is invaluable.

What drives me most is the development of the tremendous power that man is endowed with. I like to be the master of my life not a slave to it

Interesting Question because the strength of what is driving you will ultimately determine your success or failure in business. What drives me is creating a strong enough residual income so I never have to work for someone else again or be dependent on a paycheck.

Creating true financial security so that I can Own the rights to myself and have real personal freedom! You can't have personal freedom until you have financial freedom!
