It is crazy how persuasive people can be!

So,

For about a week now I was stuggling with the idea of joining someone else in business. The thing is, is that I really wanted to work with someone else and share ideas.

I had been talking to a guy for awhile, he was helping me out and I decided one day to ask him what business he was in. Well... I found out, and almost took out a small business loan to join him!

There was no real talk of how to build my business, but I was totally ready to drop everything and join him.

Now, I want to say.. I am not complaining, I am just impressed with how one can be persuaded! I fully intend to stay friends with this person, but I am proud that I made the decision not join him right now.

I think the best thing to do is learn from the situation. What did he do to make me start scrounging for money?

1. Gave me real valuable tips
2. Built a relationship
3. Talked to me in person
4. Told me about what he had to offer me

And.. I was pretty much sold! Pretty easy right? I think that is what Network Marketing is all about!

Wow. That does sound quite persuasive. It's good that you put giving money to him on hold. Sometimes all people think about is money. Money is what they eat and breathe. I guess you can call it a "drug" of some sorts. Make sure you know what you are getting into and always have a backdoor.

Your wise not go into business with him. Unless its someone you've known for years and is successful at what they do. I went into a joint small business with someone I worked with in the past. They have a song I sing about him, " take the money and run." Needless to say I learned to not let anyone persuaded me unless they have a proven track record. Not just a great salesman.

    • Sounds like he definitely persuaded you! Regardless, at this point you don't really know much about his business. But if the relationship is mutually beneficial, and he cares at all about your success, then its certainly worth talking more about. Who knows, maybe in a year you will be working with him!
