Hey i was wondering if many of you create tasks/goals each day so you know exactly what you are doing and following. Right now, im doing things to get to my big goal, but i don't have smaller steps, to get to that goal written down or anything.

How do you write down steps each day, and during the day you achieve those tasks, and do you find you follow through (or what makes you follow through)

I have my long term goals that i work towards everyday. I have a large whiteboard with my long term goals written on one side to keep me focused on my ultimate goal and my daily tasks written on the other.

It is much more productive to have daily tasks that you know you can complete as it leads to achieving your long term goals much quicker and helps you stay focused.

If i find i don't complete all my daily tasks on a given day, i start with those the next day then move onto that days tasks.

    Works for me!

Each day I have a whiteboard I whip out and write as many actionable steps I can think of for that day. Helps tremendously in getting stuff done, which is immensely important.

I have a IM notebook that stores all the information i have written as well as my short term and long term goals. My iphone reminds me of the tasks that i have to do every day

I'd advise anyone doing IM to acquire each daily task a time slot otherwise you can find yourself sitting at your computer all day and achieving nothing

I always use a good old notepad which sits beside me. I put a time allocation against each task and then compete with myself to complete the task in that time.

I don't often beat my time but it keeps me on course and taking focused action. :-)

I like to keep my task list on Google Docs. I think it is essential to write everything down. I set aside some time each Friday to evaluate what I did that week and what I need to do the following week. I think its important to constantly evaluate what you are doing to make sure the daily task are fitting into your long term goals.

I always have my small notebook and list down what I must do for today or this week. And then sometimes, I put sticky notes on my monitors screen so I always remember and look back over my list. As a result, I can easily monitor how many unaccomplished tasks left for the day or for the week.
