How many times have you seen someone who appeared to have it all? You know the ones, their businesses succeed with seemingly little effort. They have a great home, loving family and skills you can only dream of. It can can tempting to brush this off as sheer luck, but it's not.

Truly successful people follow a system which attracts success to them like a magnet. By understanding and implementing these steps in your own life, you can take your business to new heights.

So with that said, let's dive in Step 1:

First, Have Fun. People rarely succeed in tasks that they despise. Those who have fun at work, who enjoy their tasks, attract success to them. You will only experience true fulfillment and joy in your life if you learn to have fun.

Second, Dream BIG! Everyone has dreams, of course. Truly successful people envision their future down to the smallest detail, and work every day to make their reality match their vision, a goal, or purpose.

I urge you to consider exactly what you want your business to look like. Picture the monthly revenue that you want, which leads to the lifestyle that you desire.

As you start making your dream into a reality, you will run into many people who tell you that your dream is impossible. Nobody can take your dream away from you unless you allow them.

Envision your life exactly as you want it. Rhonda Byrnes' book The Secret can help you map out a vision on your perfect life.

As the architect of your own money, it is up to you to decide where you want to be. Once that decision is made, it is only a matter of time catching up to it. What ever you dream, you can make into reality.

Step 3: Believe In Yourself! Napoleon Hill said, "Whenever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve." Many of us have heard this for years without really feeling it. If you think of something and believe with all your being that it is possible, you can create that in your future.

Top performers in any field, whether in business, sports, or finance, totally and completely believe in their abilities. Use the hedgehog concept to decide which areas you're the best at, and then do it with all your heart. Walk boldly and confidently, and you claim your stake. Believe in yourself, and believe in your product.

Step 4: Identify people that are living your dream, and align yourself with them
Look for someone who is experiencing success you want, and study what they are doing. Success leaves tracks, and you can follow them step-by-step to find your own success.

There is a story that claims that your income will be the average of your five closest friends. If your income doesn't let you live the life you desire, perhaps you need to align yourself with wealthier people. By studying what successful people do, you can unearth the secrets to their success. That can help you find your very own success. After that, people will seek you out because you've become an expert in your field.

The final piece of the puzzle is commitment. You must commit yourself to action in order to reach your goals. Simply dreaming and envisioning about your life will do nothing to improve it. If you don't have perseverance, no amount of talent, genius and education will help you.

Commit yourself to your goals 100% , and you will enjoy unbounded success.

Yours In True Success,

  • I like this set of tips. The only problem is that many people are willing to read it, but few to do something practical.

So I would recommended to anyone who reads this, that now is the time to implement these tips. Do anything.

Yannick, that was a terrific post!!!

The only thing I would add to your list is I think no matter what field of endeavor you are in you also need the proper tools. It is important that no matter what business you are in if you have the tools to do the job you are going to be more successful. Think of it like a carpenter. You can have two carpenters with the same ability, but if one has more modern tools they are going to probably be better carpenters. The same thing can apply to internet marketers, Chief Financial Officers, Website designers or whatever it is that one does.

A lot of times, I feel people miss #1. Have fun.. because we are unconsciously taught to believe that fun & wirk don't go together. I have a friend that runs a park & holds b'day parties for kids. Her idea of fun is organizing games. She has fun... and earns a hefty sum. The rest simply follows.

"Dream big," you say? You may be on to something here, at least according to Timothy Ferris, author of the best-selling book, "The 4-Hour Workweek". In this book -- which I own and have read -- he suggests that competition is always the heaviest when what you are endeavoring is within the reach of most people. In other words, VERY few people will under take a very lofty enterprise, such as starting their own cable show or launching a national chain of stores. The sheer scope of endeavors like these is enough to scare away 99.99% of the competition. Whereas, starting a blog, a pizza place, a restaurant--these are all perceived as realistic goals and as a result this is where you find the most competition.

Great post. I have to remind myself on a daily basis sometimes to have fun with internet marketing. It's easy to get caught up with metrics such as EPC and CPC. Its good to take a step back and remember that you're marketing to real live people that will appreciate a personal touch.
