When I first started IM I made money nearly everyday

Hey There-
When I first started messing around online to make money it was a rush. I made money nearly everyday. Not a lot at all but around $500 in a month or so time. I wrote several articles posted them on ad revenue sharing sites and also added my website that redirected to my affiliate links. I have been doing the same stuff as I did before but am not seeing results.

Im wondering if I just need to write more and send more out. Or if my articles are not the best keyworded.

Still learning.

Any advice for getting a steady flow going again? How did you do it?

I haven't started building a list yet. I have been looking into the "right" way to go about it. Some say give away some freebies or sell something cheap. I want to make sure I have something of Value. I have mainly stayed within 2-3 niches but find it hard to stick with just one niche.

Good to see someone here from a nearby state.

I haven't been back to this forum for about 2 years, except as a lurker and to pick up a WSO or two. They erased my old handle, so I'm starting anew.

For 4 years I've made a decent full time income completely off the sales and profits gleaned from an internet list I've made for one small niche. (Only 1,100 people currently on it now) Only working about 2 hours a day on average.

But back to your statement about building lists and the "right way to do it".

I got every one of the people on that list from giving away free information that they couldn't get anywhere else but me, because I wrote it and created it. I modelled my list aquisition methods after Tony Shepherd/Sarah Brown concepts.

I think "giving first" is the ultimate concept of building trust and value.

Creating value first is the absolute key to any sustainable business. I don't think the niche makes that much difference.

I believe you could make millions in the hemorrhoid niche if you got off on writing about it all the time. (Not my type of thing though)

This is definitely a great place to find ideas for marketers.

      Best to you.

The money is in the list, stop waiting for the 'right' way and do something, which you think will work (or is confirmed by many others) then if it doesn't work you will learn something, which will get you closer to success.

Deff have to agree with ^^
Focus on a list while you do a little bit of your way too. Trial and error.

I agree completely. Merely writing article is not enough. You need a list and you need a good product, either your own or an affiliate product. And a solid freebie, personally created by you will help you a lot on building list. When you can write so many articles, why not write some useful report targeted toward your niche? It will help you build a list

Yeah I agree with a lot of people here...I think it might be best to expand. I think a great next step personally would be to learn how to blog well.

Have you ever heard of Yaro Starak? He might be just the guy for you ; ) He's the exact person I'm learning from to make great extra income(Yaro's goal is to teach you how to build a blog from scratch into the six digit per year level...) & for market research just through blogging..I mean the guy gives you a week by week...step-by-step program. I don't think it can be beat that's why I'm boasting it to you so much.

Just a thought and I wish you luck on whatever you're doing...I think it's best you move on from article writing though...it's a great starting skill and I'm sure you're good at it. From my stand point I think blogging is a great next step
