Has Anyone Read "Find Your Focus Zone" By Lucy Jo Palladino

I have been having a hard time focusing lately, and I saw that if I did not change this it would end up costing me alot of money. I read this book about focus and how to beat procrastination. Basically the book says that we all have certain areas of focus that if we find them we can get things done. Here is the book in a nutshell

It says for low stim activities such as boring jobs or long tedious tasks you need to add some stimulation to help you get through it. Anxiety is a form of stimulation as well as being excited or listening to music. You can do this either before, during the task if it doesn't effect your ability to work, or after.

It says for tasks that you actually enjoy in order for you to be able to focus and concentrate you must find a way to wind down. Like if you are really pumped to do some writing work, you need to take the edge off some way to relax.

I have found my focus zone is usually at night time, because I do not feel so anxious then and the task I do are low stim and high stim. Like if I am writing about something I do not like I will make it into a game to get through it. Doing this adds stimulation, and if it is too exciting I will clear my mind and and focus on getting the job done.

Try to find what your focus zone is by seeing what activites you do that may be high stim, or low stim. If you have a hard time doing certain things it may be because you simply need to take the edge off or find a way to make them more engaging and exciting.
