A New Horizon for my success

Today I awoke to the golden crest of sunlight blaring in through my window; it seemed like any other day, the smell of coffee downstairs, the bleeping of my alarm, and the tweeting of birds outside my window pane that makes you just hate wild life.

I groggily stumbled over to my computer, as I do every morning before the coffee has a chance to kick my systems into anything close to an "On" category - as my machine whirled to life and my email box popped up I was assaulted by wave of emails from close friends congratulating me. I sat there a moment in a bit of awe struck confusion; what had I done? Did I start a new venture the other day? No. Did I catch a wave of a new keyword I was experimenting with? Not that I could think of. Without any further hesitation in trying to discover what it was I opened the first email.

That's when I saw it - a Wikipedia page; about me! After years in the industry, writing, and working on thousands advertising and consulting someone had taken enough notice in my work to chisel me into possibly the greatest archive of our generation.

Now, it isn't perfect there are some factual problems, but they are small mostly and I'm not going to touch them - Wikipedia has very strict rules about living individuals having pages on their site and you may not create your own, have anyone create it for you or have anyone directly associated with you create it or edit it. They also need to have many reliable sources to be kept around - so while I sit here hoping it will stick around I am ever so happy to have joined those archived in the pages of Wikipedia.

So to those of you who have just started on the first steps upon this winding path of Internet Marketing, allow me to say that no matter how dark and dreary the path ahead is that you can succeed and I am happy to be here and give back to a community who is given me so much; I hope I can be your guiding light through dark forest of the internet, and when at every turn the monstrous Google Sandbox tries to gobble you up - I hope I can be there to vanquish it. You are the community that years ago helped shape me when I was nothing more than a drifter - but with each carefully crafted post I read here I was overcome by a mesmerizing cloudburst of thoughts and ideas that helped me move forward onto new frontiers, and from there took my hobby to an art.

So let this be an eternal message of "keep at it" and "you can do it" I once started off in a one bed room apartment in downtown London. Struggling with two part-time jobs to get the money to found my company Lei Empire Enterprises - but now here I stand before your Bruce Hamilton Winchester self-made internet millionaire achieved by Wikipedia (oh - by the way, unlike other big-shots I do plan to stick around in the community )

Cheers,
Bruce

You mean $4.8 million not $48 million! Haha if I earned $48 million in one year I would have been retired by now but thank you none the less.

        OOPS!

I was off by $43,200,000, but based on what I've read on your Wikipedia page, it won't be long before people start to understand what you are really all about.

It is a great success but that certainly doesn't mean I am above anyone! I started out in a really humble place to begin with where I could hardly put food on the table - this was a pretty big deal to me (even thought it looks like it wont last due to Wiki's strict rules on pages about living people) but I thought I would share it with the community who helped put me there

I hope so - my attempt is to show anyone they can be successful in internet marketing. Who would have a thought a young kid struggling to make it in down-town London core could have made it! I'm certainly looking forward to getting my Reports out there to help people - some of which are even just free gifts to Warrior Forum

Your biographer appears to have some major issues with grammar. That's such a shame to tarnish your greatness like that.

          Tina
No kidding I was tempted to try and fix some of them up myself but I decided to leave it - self page editing will just have the page removed faster there is already a debate if my page can stay as there is minimal citations; but I wouldn't call it greatness just hardwork and a bit of luck!

          Cheers,

    Mr. BS_Winchester,

I guess being an "Old Geezer" I find it quite deplorable, when someone who joined our esteemed WF, 11 May 2010, jumps in touting his own success from the "get go".

But then again I suppose your signature file, said it all. Especially the 3rd one that links back to your name in another forum.

Look man I'm going to call a spade a spade here. My bullsh.. meter needle just jumped past "You Stepped In It" to "You Are Now Buried In It". Especially when you posted 64 times yesterday (11May) so that your "Self-Promotion" in your sig file is all over the WF.

My guess is we will be seeing a WSO, by you, on how to use Wikipedia to get high PR backlinks to our sites. Which of course will be in violation of TOS of Wikipedia, which means you will also be violating the WSO rules against WSO's which teach Warriors how to violate other sites TOS. But I have been known to be wrong from time to time.

Oh wait! Maybe it won't be covering how to get high PR backlinks, but since you are now a ghostwriter, according to wikipedia, you will run a WSO offering a Ghostwriting service for "Getting Ones Biography" published on Wikipedia.

My mother taught me I should always try to say something nice to someone and as I don't won't to burn my bridges with you completely:rolleyes:, I must say your writing itself (in the OP) is not bad at all.

      is this a joke?

I do apologise to the rest - us Brits arent all like this.

      I love this

"While there are no longer any records of Winchester's writings he did release 2 small Ebooks in early 2006 - however he removed both of these when he went off the grid for a while. Recently he has announced that he will be releasing new books soon"

I've heard people say that before, and always found it interesting.

Unfortunately, some people think "Fake it 'til you make it" means the same thing as "lie until they buy". That simply isn't the case.

Sorry to see Wikipedia no longer has your page up. Guess they had some good reasons for taking it down.

Oh well. No big deal, right? I mean you can still spend all of that $4,800,000 whether the page is up or not.
