Alternatives to the Mass Control method?

First of all, I'm a bit new to this so I apologize in advance if my question comes of as too newbiesh

Basically, I'm wondering if there are any alternative and effective methods to the one Frank Kern and others propose. Personally I think its too much hardselling for my tastes.

I am fairly well known in my niche and am looking for strategies to launch without losing the respect of my peers which are on average an intelligent crowd. That thing with "special disount" and "sale ends at midnight" just wont fly with them.

Am I making any sense?? Probably not, but please hit me with the best you got!

You could always try bonuses in order to "force" a sale. I'm glad you've decided not to use lines such as "special disount" and "sale ends at midnight" as they are really pathetic and if your buyers have an IQ over 15 they'll smell the BS a mile away. Of course, if your product is good they will buy it, cheesy lines or not but I'm sure the sour taste in their mouths won't go away too soon lol.

    I agree completely, Phobos!

So what I'm getting at it maybe you know any gurus that advocate a more "classy" approach to marketing so to speak?

Well, for the gurus part, I'm afraid I can't help you but I strongly recommend doing research on the forum, writing down the ideas you find interesting and then mixing them up into your own strategy.
You're the only one who understands your business, your products and your buyers. Sometimes it helps following your gut feeling and not listening to what the gurus (or anyone else for that mater) have to say. Good luck.
