The Law of Attraction: How it has influenced you

I've read several comments praising this Law of Attraction and wanted to ask you, fellow warriors, if you have applied it to your own life and business and how it has influenced you. Possibly it's only a better feeling about yourself, you are more optimistic/focused, can handle the pressure of running your own business better, or maybe you've move from earning bits here and there to a full 6+ figure income, and you attribute your success to the Law of Attraction. If so, please share your story, thanks.

    Hi,

I see the law of attraction in action in my life everyday. Attracting people, both professionally and personally who lead me toward my goals.

Even negative people who I've attracted have taught me a perfect lesson.

Just remember that most of the hard-core LOA stuff goes on at a subconscious level. Deep meditation and playing affirmative tapes while sleeping have accelerated my practical application of the LOA. Even if you feel happy or light about your work during the day the conscious mind tends to get in the way.

I'd suggest that anybody seeking to use the LOA should learn to meditate to create a quiet mind. When the mind is still the images which you see - visualization - cause the LOA to attract whatever is needed for the manifestation of the picture. I think of it as a pure transmission to the universe.

Performing affirmations is powerful too but the conscious mind can be a real stickler in this area.

I'm very rational and skeptical, but there is definitely something worth it in LOA, it has already worked in several occasions, just small things though...

      Could not agree more.

I really believe the Law of Attraction works whether you are aware of it or not. SO we need to become aware of our thoughts and analyse how they've taken us to this point in life, and then try to shape our future more consciously and deliberately by focusing on the positive things we want out of life.

Speaking from experience here . Have realised how my lack of confidence in the past lead me to the relationship that I really committed to which did not work out. And only after I started to seriously work on my mindset, my life started to really improve and I feel like I am my own person now, with good control on where my life is going...

I am just starting to study the Law of Attraction and applying it to my life. I have attracted certain things already (a house I wanted to rent for myself, and good tenants for a house I own to let).

I agree that it can be difficult to sustain positive thoughts during the day, I mean to try but then the day job gets in the way and I forget! I am working on ways around this, meditation does look a good option.

There is a lot of good free stuff in the public domain- As a Man Thinketh, Master Key System etc.

I've definitely seen the LOA work in my life. The reason why most people have mixed results with it is because of the rigid expectations of their mind. Everything that happens in our lives we're attracting to ourselves, but many don't recognize it because they're looking for what they WANT to happen; They're not looking at what is. The way I understand it, life will attract to you the exact situation you need for your optimal growth. When considering the big picture, everything that happens, even those things we may consider "negative," is attracted to us in order to spur development. In that sense, the LOA is always a positive thing, and it's always working. It's just the mind may not see it that way.

My mind has been conditioned for so many years of negative people making me feel so bad about myself (like my father constantly putting me down, and my boss consistently humiliating me in front of everybody) that when I try to use the Laws of Attraction, it's difficult for me to recognize the message I'm getting. I have to be able to have less rigid expectations. I really need to learn to like myself better!

The LOA has turned my life around.. From noticing how dark and grim the skies were to realizing that it was another day to live and to enjoy. The thoughts we think make or break our moods and the turn out of most things we do in life. The LOA allows us to exercise our brains to a point where the emotional swings are no longer relevant and we find the good in all things.

That is just a summary of what it has been for me. Great post!

Law of attraction changed my life. It opened my eyes to see that ANYTHING is possible. When you feel like you can have anything you want in the world, it's amazing. It really does work! Don't take my word for it. The most powerful and richest people on earth believe in this law, according to Multi-Millionaire Kevin Trudeau.

I do not have any experience in that. The most weird thing is that I do not know how to apply it on my daily life. Basically, I try to be calm and attract people, but I have not used it towards my business.

I don't know if this is quite the same thing, but in "The Luck Factor" it looked at people who believed that it was possible to perform certain tasks and people who didnt and those that those that believed something was possible stuck at it and persevered for longer. These were people who considered themselves lucky. People who considered themselves unlucky tended to give up quicker. The conclusion from this is that if you believe it's possible you'll work harder and then it's more likely to happen.

    Great topic!

LOA is everywhere at all times. Period. You have experienced it as well as everyone else.

All action begins with thought. What is thought? Thoughts are internal words but more importantly they are conscious - you are aware of your thoughts.

Everything you have done in life began with a thought. Starting a business, going to school, marrying someone, quitting job etc. Thus you attract what you think.

LOA is broad because it also manifests from the sub-conscious mind. This is more on a subtle energy plane. This deals with our true make-up. What we truly are - energy beings.

The subconscious thoughts are what makes you who you are and also attract. It is the split-second "thought" that forms direction-making decisions.

Furthermore, what you consciously think forms into subconscious thoughts which in turn attracts the corresponding emotion.

Thoughts --> Settles in Subconscious --> Attracts

Jesus Christ. People will believe anything. I thought that on a business forum like this there would actually be some intelligent people who were smart enough to not buy into that sort of drivel.

The universe does not care about your petty financial goals, what you do for a living, or what house you live in. There is no such thing as a "law" of attraction. Your superficial wants and material dreams are meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

The only "law" that works is...working your tail end off and making things happen through intelligent focused effort. Compulsion will get you to where you want to be. A burning, relentless drive and desire to accomplish your goals at all costs is what makes things happen. Accepting nothing short of success makes things happen. Working deep into the night until every aspect of your goals are reached and accomplished makes things happen. YOU make things happen.

Not sitting in your lazy-boy chair, visualizing your dreams while hoping that the "universe" will hand your your goals on a silver platter. It takes work. Action is required. Visualization and goal setting is good, it certainly has its place and I use it myself, but believing in nonsensical drivel with absolutely no scientific proof leads you down a road you don't want to go on. (Universal laws typical have empirical evidence, such as the laws of physics. Show me anything in the scientific field that validates and proves a universal "law of attraction." )

I can't tell you how many basket cases I've met who were LOA "devotees" who wouldn't even attend events like funerals, because it would be "drawing negative energy into their lives." Or people who wouldn't even express sympathy for others who had to deal with some traumatic event, because it would bring "that" into their own lives. That's a special kind of crazy. Don't even get me started on the charlatans featured in "The Secret."

Some of you should really do some research on the law of attraction and its roots in the new thought movement.

      Start here:
Cult Help and Information - Oprah Winfrey, New Thought, "The Secret" and the "New Alchemy"

(Some LOA "expert" will show up and call me "negative" in 3...2....)

It was the inspiration for my ebook where I discuss how it is a marketing idea designed to capitalize on people's desire to be successful without doing work or taking action. I was profoundly inspired by the SOGR and used it to make lots of things happen. I was inspired by the action parts more so than the "attraction" parts. So when the Secret crowd went the other way with the ideas, I took action and wrote my ebook based on my methods. I now sell the ebook.

I actually got into an argument on a SOGR forum which post Secret morphed into a LOA forum. The SOGR in my opinion is not a book about the LOA but a book on visualization, positive thinking, personal responsibility and above all action. I actually said the Secret was the worst thing to happen to the LOA and got flamed. But I think the original book which predates Hill's work is really the best book on achievement. I know that when I followed it to a tee, I saw amazing results. But, because it is in the public domain no monaye can be made from it unless it got mysticized and repackaged into something that could be sold - The Secret.

The Law Of Attraction is just like every other "law" - a mentally constructed idea that doesn't apply 100% of the time. The human mind tends to want simple answers that can explain our complex situation. The Law of Attraction is an example.

Consider one of the main teachers of this approach, James Arthur Ray. 3 People died at an event of his last year. Did he attract that too? If so, must not have been very conscious.

The basic point is, we, Einstein included, have no real clue as to what is really going on here. Things seem to work certain ways sometimes and other ways at other times. And what we perceive as "reality" may not even exist.

It's no big deal anyway. If you live from the heart there is no going wrong.
