You all Know Will Smith?

Most people know this man for being on the red carpet. But I know him more personally as being a fantastic teacher of life and well-being. Here is a snippet from an interview when Will is asked about how his father taught him one of his greatest and most memorable life lessons.

RD: Was he (Will's father) a taskmaster?
Smith: Oh, yeah, he was very serious about things being a certain way. When my father got out of the Air Force, he started his own refrigeration business. I might have been 12 and my brother 9 when one day he decided he wanted a new front wall at his shop. He tore the old one down -- it was probably 16 feet high and 40 feet long. And he told us that this was going to be our gig over the summer. We were standing there thinking, There will never, ever, be a wall here again. We went brick by brick for the entire summer and into winter and then back into spring. One day there was a wall there again. I know my dad had been planning this for a long time. He said, "Now, don't you all ever tell me there's something you can't do." And he walked into the shop. The thing I connect to is: I do not have to build a perfect wall today. I just have to lay a perfect brick. Just lay one brick, dude.

When it comes to pursuing success, it can seem daunting sometimes to take in the whole picture. But all one needs to think about is getting a little bit done one day at a time.


Love it. I find that this quote alone really pushes me in getting things done in my business. thought I would share it with you all.

    There's no doubting why Will Smith is a success. He thinks success and does successful things.

    Try running a youtube search on him many great videos describing his train of thought. He's huge on personal development and positive thinking.

        Isn't it great? Jayden's starring role in, "Karate Kid" is such a fantastic movie. It is so refreshing to have that sort of humble talent on the red carpet. rather than the ordinary fiasco's. :p

    Yeah I heard this on an interview he did. Will is the definitely somebody that knows how to make things happen in this life.

    He also says that what separates him from the rest is his work ethic.

    Very inspiring. Will reminds me of guys like Kobe and Michael Jordan. In interviews they get asked stuff like "were you surprised when you finally made it?" And their response is like "No, I succeeded in my mind a thousand times before it happened in reality."
