What's Your Daily Routine?

I feel that adopting a routine is integral in developing a successful mindset.

Listening to your intuition is important. Sometimes you might want to tweak the routine or turn it upside down. In general it's wise to adhere to a strict regimen. This creates order in the mind and in your actions.

I wake up between 6 - 7 AM. I meditate for 30 minutes, perform affirmations for 30 minutes then sit to write a blog post or shoot a video.

I proceed to spend the majority of my day networking online. I use the Pomodoro Technique with a 45 minute / 15 minute split, meaning I work for 45 minutes and take a 15 minute break. It's worked well for me so far, my productivity has jumped with the increased break time and I feel less attached to my work. Being light about your work and day is one of the key elements of using the law of attraction to get what you want. It's being involved with your routine without being attached to it.

My workday consists of promoting myself and others on twitter and Facebook. I stay on these sites throughout the day. I stop by a few forums to place a post and respond to other postings. I publish 1 - 2 blog posts and visit fellow bloggers, leave comments and network. I visit forums and blogs every 2-3 hours.

During my 15 minute breaks I churn out a personal development video. I pull out the Flip Cam and discuss one of my inspirational quotes. So far I have about 35 on you tube. My goal is to shoot about 6 per day. Yesterday I nailed 10. For the remainder of my break I perform affirmations while going for a walk in the neighborhood.

At the end of my workday I meditate for another 30 minutes and go for a walk or play some basketball. I also toss in weight lifting on alternate days.

Before bed I read a personal development book for about an hour and perform affirmations before sleeping to recondition my subconscious mind. Never forget that the most important 10 minutes of your day is before going to bed. This is the window of windows to focus on because your conscious mind is submerged during sleep and whatever you repeat and feel to be true prior to bed-time will be accepted by your subconscious mind, which works on this idea for the 6-8 hours while you are sleeping.

How does your typical day unfold?

Nice write up & thread idea!

I have daily focuses that change each day. My mainstays are: posting 3 X week, working out (weights), meditation, EFT, proper nutrition & water and reading.

Some days I visit/post to forums and blogs. Some days I socialize on Twitter or FB.

My goal is to be better than the previous day. So far, so good!

    Ryan,

I wake up between 5-6am. I do a few yoga stretches and breathing exercises. My full routine will happen later in the day.

Then I briefly check emails. I make this a speed check, not to get drawn into anything. Just looking for any urgent emails on my main accounts.

At that point, I hop into the Warrior Forum for a few minutes. I love the dialog early in the morning with the warriors. I find that the best tips and motivation are early. Less spammy comments.

I spend a few more minutes setting and reviewing my focus for the day.

Then I check twitter and facebook. Spending time reviewing comments and responding as needed. I am really trying to remember to celebrate the fb birthdays more regularly.

For the day, I am working on writing more reports and posts more frequently. My goal is also to increase my videos on a weekly basis.

Mid day, I go for a walk as my break, and later I practice my full yoga routine.

I check the forum, twitter and facebook a couple of times during the day. And may attend a webinar during the afternoon or evening.

    Hey Ryan,

I couldn't agree more about having a daily routine. You get a lot more done and end the day much more satisfied.

I get up early about 6am. I have an exercise routine that I like to get out of the way first thing. If I don't get it out of the way I find it plays on my mind all day and then I am in danger of not doing it all. I alternate days of a one hour stetching routine and a power walk.

After that, I site quietly with my coffee and go over my 100 reasons why I want to make more money. This is powerful stuff and gives me that fire in the belly to take inspired action to get to work. Then I get to work.

My creative mind does its best writing in the morning so I like to take advantage of that. I don't usually take a break for hours (not good I know) but I am so into it that I don't want to lose any of the info and get it down as quick as poss. I don't check any emals or take any calls during this time. I love it . . . its my favourite time.

I am good at taking a whole hour for lunch though and I always go out for a short walk about and a breath of fresh air.

Afternoons I get into the land of the living. I check my emails, make any calls that need doing, check in with facebook for a while and then maybe a couple of forums. Then I get back to my work list. I always have a list which I tick off as each thing is done. Sometimes they take longer than I expect but they get done eventually.

I usually try to stop by 8pm and chill for the rest of the evening but this depends on what I am working on. I also love self development and inspiration books and I might read one or watch a movie.

One thing I always am sure to do at the end of the day is give myself what I call 'good backchat'. In other words, I have a notice above my computer that asks 'Were my thoughts and actions in line with my vision and mission today?' As long as i've kept to my daily routine then the answer is usually yes and that means I am making progress. Its good to check yourself and then give yourself some credit.

Finally, similar to you, as I close my eyes to sleep, I picture in my conscious mind what it is I want to achieve so that the message is then accepted into my creative (subconscious) mind. I am sure this is why in the morning all my writing ideas come forth so easily.

So yeah, couldn't agree more . . . the power of the routine works for me!
