I agree..that is an awesome book to read on the plane for sure. Also, think and grow rich is a good one to read on the plane.

Are you wanting to read money or success books or romance novels or internet marketing books? In the thread you leave the topics wide open.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is also a killer book on mindset too and how to think about your money and life.

Hey Tamiro, The Kite Runner was a beautiful movie, but I did get very frustrated by the action's of the main character (especially when he was younger), LOL!

The most recent one is The Jackrabbit Factor by Leslie Householder, but you would need to print it out, or put it on an electronic reader. It is free and available here: Jackrabbit Factor (I found it from another person's WF post.)

For other fun, inspirational, and motivational reads, find some books from Og Mandino. They are told in a story format, but carry powerful messages, ending with groups of rules to lead your life by. The books include "The Greatest Salesman In The World", "The Choice", "The Greatest Miracle In The World", "The Gift of Acabar"

Since I have already gone way past 1 book, I'd love to throw in one more. "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. While most people may not consider it inspirational, I find the message of self-reliance and commitment to principles to be very inspiring. WARNING - LONG BOOK.

This one I have not read, so not a real recommendation, but it is on my MUST PURCHASE list. "The Alchemist" by Paul Coelho. I keep finding more people I admire and respect who point to this book as being a very highly recommended, if not critical book to read.

I love thought-provoking books that give me a deeper understanding of who I perceive myself to be.

The most recent book that I am reading is "The Shadow Effect" by Deepak Chopra, Debbie Ford, and Marianne Williamson. It is definitely a book that will make you ponder about the dark side that we all try to keep hidden and how it can cause such a profound effect in your life.

Yes. I consider it to be a life changing book, as the way we relate to people is SO important. It shows how to treat others in a respectfull way, and how to handle difficult people. "No body wins an argument", and "Allow the other person to save their face" are just two good examples of what this book teaches.

There is one book. Actually, it's a compilation of books, 66 of them written by 40 different author over a period of several thousand years, which holds the keys to success, happiness and fulfillment. Within it's pages are drama, intrigue, the rising and falling of kingdoms, romance, love stories and much more. It's one of those books that has the potential of changing your life and helping you find the answer to all your dreams...if you dare to read it.

You may find it on a coffee table, usually with a little dust on it. Maybe, it's already in your bookcase and you just have to dig it out. If you don't have a copy ask a friend, I'm sure they will lend it to you.

I wish you a pleasant and exciting journey.

Wayne Dyer also has a good book called "Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling" which you might find, ..., well..., inspiring!

There is a difference between inspiration and motivation. For inspiration it's hard to top Wayne Dyer, IMO.

For motivation I got to Tony Robbins.

I've read so many great books it is hard to make a list of recommendations.

If you really, really want to make your life more what you want it to be in every area especially money:
Think & Grow Rich by Napolean Hill (the original, not updated ones)
Ask & It Is Given by Jerry & Ester Hicks
The Game of Life and How to Play It included in the Wisdom of Florence Scovell Shinn by Florence Scovell Shinn.

    Some others would be:
Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kyosaki
The One Minute Millionaire by Robert Allen and Mark Victor Hanson
    Success Principles by Jack Canfield
Excuse Me, Your Life Is Waiting By Lynn Grabhorn
The Prosperity Secrets of the Ages by Catherine Ponder

There are so many, but really, the ones to read and read and read again and open up to get inspiration and to use everyday in life are:
Ask & It Is Given and Think & Grow Rich.

Some of the inspirational books out there these days are just money-making, ear-tickling, get-happy books, but others, like The Gift in You by Dr. Caroline Leaf and A Life of Having, Being and Doing Enough by Wayne Muller can really change your mind and your life. Thanks for starting this great thread, BTW. I think reading helps round out our life.

I'm really enjoying the Simpleology program by Mark Joyner. Haven't read the book just doing the courses online but his book is probably great. I haven't seen a single trashy thing from him. Although, he kinda says some rude things about religion but ignoring that it's some pretty good content.

    Hi Chantal,

If you haven't read it already and if you're looking for something inspirational that will help with your outlook on life, business, making money, relationships and enlightened thinking, then I'd recommend The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle:

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual...The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual...
    (not an affiliate link)

I got a whole new perspective on life and the importance of taking inspired action in every single moment. Because the only moment that we can make a difference to our futures is right now. Not yesterday, not last week or last year. Great motivator for IM types.

Although, this thread is kinda old, I'd like to post something.

"Quran" is the MOST Inspirational Book you would EVER read, PERIOD. I dare you to give it a try and not get inspired amazingly. You'll understand the purpose of life, who you really are, you'll understand the world, universe, the TRUTH and I'm ABSOLUTELY sure it'll change your way of life. It IS a way of life.

Sorry to say, but this book does NOT even come in consideration to compare to any of the books you people mentioned above.

I know, it's not a "How to make money" kind of book, but it'll surely affect that side too.

It has NO contradictions whatsoever. It's a BOOK written by The One and Only GOD. It's the TRUTH, the GUIDE of human.

Don't believe? Ah, yeah, you're right. Don't take my word.

Read any book you think is the best and then read Quran. I GUARANTEE you, you'll be amazed by QURAN and you'll say "Nothing can compare with this".

This book has changed MILLIONS of people's life.

Give it a try, it's free. You should get one FREE. Go to your closest mosque and ask the imam(the cleric). He should give you one FREE of charge.

I really wish you find the path to success in this and the other life.

May God bless you. Best of luck!

The "Master Key System" by Charles F. Haanel. It is more of a course than a book.

Also "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles.

Both of these books are free which blows me away and are very easy reads but they will make so much sense you won't be able to put them down.

Just google the title or the author and you will find a gazillion ways to get a copy.

This is a difficult question to answer as there are many inspirational books I've read and loved.

    So...I'll choose one randomly...

Life's Golden Ticket by Brendon Burchard

It illustrates the idea of "What if...you were handed a ticket that could magically start your life anew?"

The truth is...you really do have the choice to start anew. Immense power and possibilities lie within one's choice to respond instead of react.

A really eye-opening one for me was The Lazy Man's Guide to Riches by Joe Karbo (the 1970s edition - not the newer one).

It's similar to Think Rich, Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, but it's got a lot of actionable processes to implement in addition to talking about theory, which I found very helpful.

I think it will be good if you read both the Proverbs and Ecclesiastes. They are awakening books and they make us wise. I believe during your business you most of the time you have been reading books with business content, specifically for the sake of your business. It will be a good idea to read something quite different. I believe you will benefit much in there because they touch on every kind of life including business itself.

I have to add this as one of my new favorites. It has really helped get my attitude and mindset where it belongs, and it is applicable to all areas of life: health, finances, etc. It's the guided meditation CD inside that I rave about. I listen to one of the meditations every day and it has totally turned things around for me this month in huge ways.

I'm waiting delivery of Brendon Burchard's "Millionaire Messenger" which has some excellent reviews:

Please search Amazon dot com for his book reviews.

"What is great about this book is that the "blueprint" of what to do and how to do it are clearly and methodically laid out for you. There is no hidden fluff or partial messages given. Often in books like this, the author tells you what you need to do and partially how to complete the tasks...if you wish to learn the rest of the message you must purchase "additional training material" from them. Not here! Brendon does a masterful job at giving the reader the whole recipe...start to finish! If you have a passionate message or expertise that you wish to share with the world AND be appropriately compensated for...then you must read this book!"

I cannot wait to get my hands on it and devour what's inside! I have learnt ALOT from his free videos already, and much more is covered in the book!

You can signup for Brendon's free videos by Googling for:
