Foods, Supplements and Tips for a powerful brain that actually work

Warriors,

In the past year I've been heavily studying and experimenting with different diets and supplements and noticed that certain foods and supplements infinitely (Yes, infinitely), improved my mood, alleviated my depression, completely eliminated my concentration problems and significantly increased my energy. It actually turned out that most of my problems (depression, low concentration, low sex drive, low will power, low energy, too much sleeping and lethargy) were in some way or another related to my diet. I now have more energy and better concentration and due to that I'm able to a) Spend less time working on certain projects due to a heightened level of brain nutritioand thus an increased reservoir of mental and physical energy that I'm drawing from, b) get more work done due to my body's increased physical and mental energy. However, I noticed that the average person can benefit more by avoiding certain foods and substances than from adding certain beneficial foods and supplements. This will be a long post as I will try to share a distilled version of what I learned about nutrition and brain health. The knowledge in post can be invaluable to your life, if you apply what I'm about to share with you (it really isn't a lot of work, you just have to avoid the toxic foods that are draining you and add some healthy foods to your diet). The benefit you will get also depends on how much you're willing to spend on your health and on your diet. Assuming you spent you're money wisely and researched your what you put in your body, that investment that you made in your health will always come back to you a hundredfold. I always think that there are 4 things that you should always invest in: Relationships, skills, knowledge, and health.

I will start with the supplements and foods that gave me the best results so far in terms of concentration, focus and overall energy. All of these are plant based naturally grown live foods and powders, unlike most "dead supplements" out there:

Cacao: To me this is the feel-good supplement. It is the pure raw powder form of the chocolate that you find in stores, without the gazillion pounds of sugar added to it. I always notice that I'm in a positive mood a few minutes after taking it. I just take two tablespoons whenever I'm down and mix it with a few other herbs and supplements and I instantly feel better within half an hour (sometimes I just take a nap and wake-up refreshed.) I also noticed that when I take it before sleeping that I wake up feeling positive about the day and not so hungry (it is also an appetite suppressant, but in a good way) It has also been called the "heart blood" by the Aztecs and it produces the same hormones that are produced when we fall in love. Looking at the nerdy side of it, it has the highest or one of the highest amounts of magnesium out there, and magnesium is vital for a balanced brain chemistry. It also has ten times the number of antioxidants available in blueberries and is the most antioxidant-rich food in nature.

Maca: This is pure energy. It is a root vegetable that is mostly known for increasing the sex drive and that's why I initially started taking it. It's also known for increasing fertility and alleviating menstrual discomforts. However I started noticing that it also gave me a lot of energy and improved my mood a lot when I combined it with Cacao. It's also been historically taken by warriors before wars to give them energy and they were prohibited from taking afterwards to prevent them from having too much sex with the women around them. Put one tablespoon of this whenever you're making a drink. You don't want to go above two tablespoons a day because this is too potent. The results in your energy and in your sex drive will amaze you though.

Marine Phytoplankton: Now we're talking. If I were to recommend two supplements that are purely for increased energy, this would be one of them. This stuff is high end brain food. It is a whole food. Whole food means that it contain all minerals, amino acids, fatty acids and nutrients that are know to man. All of them. It's a complete protein source and is the best plant-based source of long-chain omega-3. It also penetrates the blood brain barrier and feeds the higher master glands located deep in the brain, stimulating profound mental clarity. It also provides extra energy without stimulation unlike caffeine. Have you ever heard of marine phytoplankton? not likely. But you sure did hear of Redbull and all these energy bars that are full of sugars and dead proteins that cause kidney damage among other things. I can keep going on forever about the benefits of this food but I guess you get the point.

Mucuna Pruriens: Another extremely potent food. It has L-Dopa which is the precursor for dopamine. If we been hitting stimulants our whole life like coffee, tobacco, sugar, alcohol, red meat, etc we start having a dopamine problem. This is why most drug addicts are like: "nah dude, let's just sit here and chill" Mucuna helps restore Dopamine at the neurotransmitter level. It's vital for people who notice that they have a lack of will power or lack of drive. There are actually a few foods that are mostly know for restoring our Jing energy, which is what keeps us going and push the fear away.

Colostrum: You could literally live and thrive on this. Mister Natural Universe won five years in a row using this, and he started at age 45 competing against men in their twenties!!! This Contains over 95 protein growth factors in a completely bioavailable form. This stuff is youth in a bottle. Combine this with some of the above foods such as marine phytoplankton and mucuna and you'll be amazed by how much energy you'll have.

AFA Blue-Green Algae: This has a high concentration of PEA. PEA increases the activity of brain chemicals in the parts of our brain that control our ability to concentrate and stay alert. It's also the same chemical present in chocolate that is present when we fall in love, feel attraction or are sexually aroused. It's also stimulates a reaction in the body similar to that of a "runner's high" that enhances mood, energy and attention.

Deer Antler Extract: The growth factors in the deer antler extract have a tremendous effect on our WILL. Will, power, drive, passion are all fruits of sufficient jing energy, which most of us have depleted over our lifetimes and that’s where the Deer Antler extract comes in. It has the ability to get our will power on track, increase dopamine production, and is a complete protein source and contains 23 growth factors.

Spirulina: highest concentration of protein found in any food on earth. Essential food for balancing the brain chemistry. This also has a high concentration of tryptophan which is a precursor to serotonin and is associated with general feelings of well-being.

The cacao and blue-green algae are pure brain foods whereas the marine phytoplankton and colostrum will give you a huge noticeable increase in your energy, and the deer antler as well as the mucuna (along with other jing herbs that I may talk about in another post as I don't want to overwhelm you with more supplements) will help you with your will power and your drive. Add all of them into a smoothie and mix them together with some cayenne powder, honey, coconut oil and a sweet fruit like cantaloupe. There are many other foods that are vital for brain health and increased energy that are explained in the guide in my signature.

Now depending on how serious you are about increasing your mental and physical energy, there are a few things that you should change with your diet and your lifestyle. First of all, I would seriously recommend getting a colon hydrotherapy. It's only $75 - $100, has no known side effects and you'll feel amazing after it and surprised by the junk that will come out of your body. basically if you took the above foods that I recommended but your intestines were not clean enough, your body won't be able to absorb most of the nutrients and it will be bathing in its own waste. kind of like eating in a dirty plate. Just google "colon hydrotherapy" in your city.

If you have a silver filling in your mouth, REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY. It will cost you a few hundred bucks to remove it, but that stuff is slowly killing you. It has a very high concentration of mercury, some of them around 70-80%, and what happens is whenever you chew on something, the mercury level in your mouth increases, and you breathe it right in. Of course your mouth is right below your brain, so if you've had those for a while, your brain has tons of mercury in it, as well as your blood and muscles, and it's probably been causing you all kinds of problems such as depression, fatigue, poor concentration and God knows what. Now if you are serious about your health, you should seek a doctor that will remove it for you. And not every doctor can do it safely. There is a website that I can't remember at the moment where you can look for doctors who can remove the mercury safely without you breathing any more of it.

Make sure you're drinking good water. Some people spend tons of money on watches and bags and whatnot but then they "save" money by buying water in plastic bottles. NO! The plastic leeches into the water and causes all kind of problems such as prostate problems and increased levels of estrogen. Water in plastic bottles will also taste disgusting after you get used to drinking fresh spring water or water out of glass bottles. Everything else has so much bad minerals in it that the body doesn't recognize and that clog up the arteries and toxify your body and your brain in the long run. Tap water is a whole different issues all by itself that I'm gonna get into but you should really stay away from it as it's full of pesticides and chlorine and all kinds of poisons that you don't know about. Drink pure clean water. This is as important as food intake. Find a natural spring to fill your bottles with or have glass-bottled spring water delivered, or purchase a water filtration system (not Britta...!). Evian and Mountain Valley are two brands that sell water in glass bottles and are recommended. I cannot go into the science of water here but if you want to research it, it is HUGE.

Refined Sugar, White flour, and commercial dairy products. I know I won't be able to convince you to avoid these on a forum post, but if you just research them and become aware of the negative effects they have on your brain and your body, you'll do yourself a huge favor.

And finally, educate yourself. What we really have is a crisis of consciousness. It is really devastating to me to see people damaging their health by eating unhealthy foods and empty calories. That stuff goes INSIDE YOUR BODY, so you might as well have some awareness of exactly how good or bad something is to your health. You are what you eat, and everything that you put in your body affects your mind, body and spirit, as well as your energy levels and your thoughts. Trust me, the thought that you get when drinking a vegetable juice are different than the ones you get when drinking a diet coke or a redbull.

Phosphatidylserine is apparently very good for mental focus and memory. Might help with the IM attention deficit disorder we seem to suffer from at times :-)

These are all excellent foods for us. I take several high power nutritional supplements as well. Really into Chinese herbs at the moment. Also nettles infusion. Good that we have access to these products to keep us going.
