Don't prepare yourself for the last battle...

...Prepare yourself for the next one!

That's a quote I heard today on the radio. I thought it was pretty good and wanted to share it.

My interpretation is that while we should always learn from past experiences, at the same time we need to understand that the world around us is evolving and changing all the time.

To only plan your future based on past experiences alone is short-sighted and should be avoided by creating your own vision for the future.

You are absolutely correct in your interpretation, thetruth23. The world is changing faster than any time in our recorded history.

I want to add a couple of things, if I may.

The first is that everything has happened for a reason and it makes you the person you are today. The first step to moving forward it realizing where you are right now.

The second thing is no matter where you are in your situation right now, what happened back then is not an indicator of what will happen today, or tomorrow.

So many people are held back by the distant thoughts of what happened in the past, they count themselves out of truly experiencing what the future holds for them.

The past is the past. No matter what happened, you can become empowered by it by finding the answer to the following question: What is the most empowering lesson I can draw from that experience?

Let the lesson present itself to you, decide to accept and appreciate the lesson and internalize it and move on. Move confidently toward what you want for yourself and realize that no matter what happened in he past, rather than chain you, it can empower you and propel you forward.

I would be interested to hear from fellow warriors who take the time to do this now and share their breakthrough experiences.

    Andy.
