Why do you tell a lie sometimes?

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

There are many people who have different reasons why they are lying, maybe because they need to keep the relationship from breaking up or to prevent the other from getting hurt, well it depends on individual situation. In your case, why do you tell a lie sometimes?

The only form of lies I participate in are for my own comedic appreciation, such as saying I am a graduate assistant teaching history 100 at UCberkeley, while drunk at a party and having people accept my name is Carlo, and my friends name is Rossi.

I simply do not lie otherwise, except, in a situation that a person could be hurt emotionally, unless I omit information... I will not say something that is not true, I will however, omit things they may not wish to hear.

  I would rather say (or think about) it honestly in my head, depending on the situation. I try not to be rude to people in their face and give them respect.

Sure I lie sometimes....

You cant be "lie free" all the time...

It's fun sometimes.. It's fun when you talk to people who are lying to you, and you know that they are lying...then I lie just for fun...oh, the stories that can come out then.....

or...example..

If your girlfriend / woman / wife asks you how you like ger new dress / hair / shoes / shirt you alwasy say it's great / nice / awesome / beuatiful.....no exceptions

I never lied because I always assure to tell what I really feel towards someone or towards things in my environment. Sometimes, people tend to lie because we do not want to break or hurt someone's feelings. However, by telling the truth, it can make other people imrpove and change their habits to make them better and productive persons.

I try not to do it though, it ends up hurting you more in the end.

  I never lie when it comes to "something serious", I used to lie why I don't have my homework and stuff like that.
  
  The point with women is well taken, most of them (including mine) have a problem in accepting the blatant truth - but I'm getting there, she stopped asking me questions where one of the possible answers wouldn't make her happy

I only ever lie when it's to put someone's mind at rest,like when my mum ask's "Are you looking after yourself and eating properly?" i'll say "yes of course" even though I know the last time fruit and veg passed my lips was when I was last round my mums.

most of a time, i dont lie. i would keep quiet until i really have to lie. when i lied, it's just help for a little while then getting worse.
the caused could be anything and happen anytime.

so don't lie.

The trouble with telling lies is that you need a really good memory so you can remember them all. If your memory's not good, stick with the truth.

I never used to lie. Once my girlfriend asked me if her dress made her look fat. I said no... It was her fat ass that made her look fat.

I lie all the time now.
