The Bones Of A Successful Strategy

A lot people ask me for a simply strategy for running a business online...so I thought I'd post the bones of the process here (I can always elaborate later on in other posts)

(1) Set up a squeeze page offering a free report for any given market (you'll need web hosting, a domain name and an autoresponder for this) in exchange for a name and email address

(2) Drive relevant traffic to that squeeze page....test and tweak until you are converting at around 30%+. Use articles, pay per click advertising, banner ads, seo, facebook, twitter, video, forums etc to get this relevant traffic

(3) In your autoresponder, simply offer more insane value whilst recommending peerless products (Digital Products Retailer: Affiliate Program & Sell Online - ClickBank have a huge selection). Understand your market is key here, so that you understand their pyschology.

(4) Reap the rewards and accordingly rinse and repeat in other niches.
This really is the best method for obtaining success online. Coz think about, all those huge promotions online all stem from massive email marketing campaigns...which in itself is a dead giveaway.

Cian, I think you've pretty much captured the essence of a successful marketing campaign and did a nice job of simplifying the necessary steps involved. A great many MMO ebooks and courses do nothing more than elaborate (oftentimes painfully so) on those very steps.

The psychological sand trap that a newbie of Internet Marketing often faces is falling prey to the almost irresistible urge to buy the exact same information over and over again from the Make Money Online niche providers (sellers); consequently invariably being suckered into thinking he/she is purchasing some new marketing concept or step-by-step method...when in essence the information is nothing more than a regurgitation of these exact same principles that you just outlined above, albeit just being presented in a needlessly, fluffed-up package.

It's a simple concept and business plan, really. Anyone can follow those steps and ultimately be successful. What bothers me is why people allow themselves to be suckered into believing there's a magic pill that will produce riches overnight if only they would follow some self-proclaimed "guru" who claims to have a brand new approach to mastering the 'art' of online marketing.

Nowadays, in this increasingly self-centered, greedy and manipulative environment infiltrating the World Wide Web, the biggest thing I would remind a newbie of is the fact that you must be willing to give and give and give some more to your targeted niche audience before you even consider trying to sell to them.

Number One Rule: "Under Promise & OVER DELIVER". Treat your opt-in mailing list prospects with respect and consideration by making sure you provide them with valuable, useful information when you email them. Do that alone in your email marketing efforts and you will be successful.

Here is a bit of a addition...

        1. Do your keyword research first... before you do ANYTHING else. Unless there is traffic and demand, you will be doomed or it will become very hard to make any money no matter how great your squeeze page and other stuff is.

        2. If you are going to go towards affiliate marketing, choose a great MARKET first rather than a great product. If you choose a great market, you'll have many products to promote. If you choose a great product, you'll be stuck with it, and in the event it dissapears for some reason (and it happens to best of them), you'll be lost with it.

        3. Learn from the warrior forum. This is hands down, THE BEST place for learning Internet Marketing for free.

        Hope this helps.

This was a great, "bare-bones" posting. Thank you for sharing it.
The feedback as well, like warrior-of-light's, was also very helpful.

I for one know that I've learned a whole lot from this thread already. I want to chime in w/sparkie2260 and thank everybody for the dynamite info you've shared here.

I might be an old man, but unlike a dog I can still learn a few new tricks!

    I'll add:

    1. Offer value to your list and gain their trust.
    2. Position yourself as an authority
    3. Incentivize buys with a bonus (if possible in your niche)

you have to really make the reader want to click your link. That is obvious, but make an incentive like if you click this..you will save more money etc
