Make Money with Kooday, is Legit or Scam?

Today, when I search for "make money online" on Squidoo (you can gain more detailed information from this Squidoo article - Kooday search engine), I find a whole new way to make money online. It is a search engine called Kooday.
Now, I am in need of money, so I really want to know whether Kooday is a legit site or another scam. Have you heard of it? Can you get paid from this site?
Waiting for your reply.

A little of the topic of this part of the forum....but,

There have been so many of those things, it's pathetic.
They come and go. I don't know any one that has lasted.
The business model is lousy. I would not invest any time
in such a thing. Don't believe the hype.

Perhaps you are right. But now, from a blog about Kooday - www.kooday.in, I find some Kooday payment proofs. So, I don't think it is a scam.
I have decided to try it later. Wish me luck!

Interesting keywords business, but I am still a little uncertain about this way of making money online since I have been scammed so much before. Please keep updating to what you think after you tried it. Thanks.

I have been earning online for over 10 years and agree that the search engine model has been attempted many times, but only where they pay you for doing searches. I have never seen anyone trading keywords like a marketplace before and it does seem to be working. I wouldn't be too quick to pass judgment on this one.

Every one I have seen, have gone belly up. Unless we are talking about
something different than getting paid to do searches.

I see a new similar thing making the rounds tampogo.com
The ad copy looks good, but it seems I've seen the same
scam, er, program before. The business model does not

I joined Kooday 3 days ago and "invested" $50.00. Right now my balance is $114.50. Its been fun. I have purchased and sold the following keywords - "business opportunity", "travel", "cruise", "cricket", "sachin tendulkar" and a few more. The only one that hasnt sold yet is "trade"...but it was only about $9.

To be honest I wish I could keep the keywords for longer, but they get snapped up really quickly. You make around 15%-20% profit on the keywords. The most expensive one I found was over $1100, but I am sure there must be even more expensive ones.

Are you going to get rich with this? Probably not! But its fun and tests your creativity. Oh, yes, you can withdraw your money anytime.

I would stay clear of kooday. You make make a little money now,
but things like that always fall hard.

My next comment is going to rile people. But let me say first and
foremost that I DO USE traffic exchanges and love them. Right
now, kooday is plentiful on traffic exchanges. If that's not the
kiss of death and a bad omen, nothing is.

It seems you traded a couple of my words...lol...You are incorrect with one part here. It isn't 15%-20% it is just 15%. Most expensive I've seen is Twitter at $1663.50

I have been playing on Kooday for about a week now didn't invest anything I couldn't afford to lose like anything online.

For all intents and purposes Kooday is working... Today.

The litmus test will be when the finally release their search engine. If it works and they can get average people to use it, this might be a winner. If it remains the domain of Internet Marketers trying to sell the latest money making scheme then they will be in trouble.

The other thing which needs to be resolved is the collection of taxation information from those who are earning money off of this. I may be wrong but if this is a legitimate money making op then they should be getting the necessary taxation info for the IRS.

    Cheers,
    Krispin

Your outlay can be as little as $5 and then the sky is the limit. I have put in $100 and am sitting at 15,000 credits and I have been participating for about a week.

I have not been terribly active for the past few days so I am not really helping myself.

I figure $100 and some conscientious effort should do it. $200 Would get you there quicker. There are some tricks to the trade but we are not to reveal them to non believers.

Not sure what Suze is selling but perhaps she has found a tactic that I wasn't unaware of.

      Hope this helps

It is obvious that Kooday is a legit site because many friends around me have received their payments. You can search for "Kooday payment proofs" on Google.

I will choose not to do the google search thanks, google tends to tell the searcher whatever they are looking for.

That's a very old, old argument for almost every thing that has gone belly up, or
closed down. They have paid, so they mus be legit!

Besides, how can people actually "receive" a payment yet? Aren't they still in
          the age-old-proverbial "prelaunch" ?

If you find it on google, it must be true.

Google, yahoo and Bing are giants who have invested millions of dollars in research to develop proprietary search algorithms for keyword relevancy. It is naive to think that some one with a MLM type of business model with no search technology can get a market share from these giants

I am a newbe here but I would like to let you guys know my experience with Kooday so far. I joined some 10 days ago and deposited some $50 in my Kooday account. I started buying keywords and was slowly making some money but I decided after 2 days to take back half of my money and sent in a request for a $25 dollar payout back to my paypal account. The site listed that the payout would take 7 days. Well yesterday was the 7th day and still no funds were sent to my paypal account. I wrote to the administator this morning -sent a ticket as they call it, and after not hearing from them today I logged back on just an hour ago. Well now they have an announcement that as of today they will no longer being doing business with paypal and if I want a payout I have to register with some other site call Alertpay or something like that. I have some $31 worth of keywords, just over $11 in my Kooday account and the asked for $25 somewhere in cyberspace. So in answer to your question, it is seeming more and more like a scam to me. They had 8 days to return my money and did not do it. They informed everyone of the change late on a Friday when it was too late to contact them. They are claiming that Paypal is too small to handle their business, a fact I find hard to believe.

Kooday didn't list that the payout would take 7 days. According to their guidelines, they tend to calculate payouts between Tuesday-Thursday each week with up to a 15 day hold before money is sent to your PayPal account (Of course, now, they will switch from PayPal to AlertPay and we are wating for a further reply ).

The payout I was referring to, was for being paid actual money back to my paypal account, not a payment in Kooday dollars put into the account on their site. And yes they did say they would refund the full amount already paid to them through paypal, if a refund is requested, but by doing so you will lose the ownership of any keywords you now own and thus lose what value you have in those keywords. On their news page they state:
"Kooday will refund anyone that asks. All you have to do is login to your PayPal account and lets us know. Once you are in your PayPal please file a Dispute as "item not received" PayPal will notify Kooday and then we will issue the refund. Your Kooday account will become the property of Kooday (house) account."
When I asked for a payout to my paypal account over 8 days ago now, I was told it would take 7 days not 15.

Although they are planning on switch to AlertPay from PayPal. But it is obvious that it is the fault of PayPal instead of Kooday.

Their payout time is 15 days not 7 days, this is in their FAQ, unfortunately they have stopped payouts with Paypal for reasons they have given. therefore it looks like payouts will have to wait until they have set up with Alertpay. I can't say 100% this site is not a scam, but I am enjoying the process of buying/selling keywords and building up profit share credits, so I really hope it is totally legit and will keep running.

If what you say is true, it's just more red flags.

Paypal frowns upon such things. You are essentially paying and charging to visit
sites. Anyone remember the stormpay, 12dailypro nonsense? Paypal really cracked
        down on things after that.

If you try it, and make money, more power to you. I wish no harm on any
        real fellow warrior.

But there are other things that one could do instead to invest and make a buck.

That was a complete and absolute disastrous time for many, I was just dabbling in that at the time as I was busy PIP'ing at the time but I had a number of online contacts that lost thousands of dollars in that.

Paul is absolutely right about Pay Pal clamping down after that. It was a rough time for many and a lesson for all involved in the sketchy world of HYIP's and Auto Surfs.

One has to remember those people who were running those programs that brought down storm pay are still out there looking for new ways of making money.

Those involved with Kooday (myself included) need to remember that this is more than likely going to crumble like a card house.

If you re going to participate DO NOT GAMBLE YOUR LIFE SAVINGS or even your grocery money for the next week. This is a play money only thing.

I have been chasing these things around for a few years now and there is certainly potential for a crash. What I like about Kooday is that you can control how much you are spending and there are no monthly's or up sells.

I signed up and gave it a go.My take is they get you to find keywords and sell for a price then someone can come along and if they type your keyword they find it can be bought for a higher fee so they buy it then you see it's sold then go and buy it again for higher price again.I think they use you to find keywords and buy them before launch date thus they own them and make in some cases some nice coin.If they want me to stay on I buy the keyword I keep it permanently and I make a % of the search value but this isn't going to happen. Also find it odd that my keywords are so quickly snapped up and some I feel are quite good and surprised they are search this early stage as they came from me not from some list I found in keyword searching.I say save your money was a valuable $10.00 lesson for me.Here's my bought up keywords bought up by someone else within 24 hrs of me being first owner, you be the judge,BMO,Winnipeg,PEI,Quebec
    Just my take. Richard

The thing will crash and burn. Nobody has been successful at
doing what they are doing. Nobody. It is not a paid search engine,
like 7search.com. It is a money making scheme with search engine
clothes. Nothing different than any other referral, mlm, etc. program.

And please, don't ever, ever submit a site on kooday that has adsense
on it. You are asking for trouble.

      Just my take. Richard
I think you are missing the point a bit here. You are complaining that your words are being bought off you too quickly. So you are complaining about making 15% profit each time? They are being bought because someone else wants them. The higher value the keyword the more they get profit share credits as well so many people rebuy their keywords at least up to a certain value. When the search engine goes live people will be getting more for popular keywords. At the moment it is so new that there are many keywords easy to get. You also get a fee if someone links a website to your keyword.

Some people are playing with this, others are getting serious with it. For those that say it will not last I would like to know why not. The way it works keeps people interested in it and hence they keep coming back. With traffic comes advertisers which is where the big money is. There are infinate keywords and phrases and remember it isnt only in english so I cannot see an end to being able to purchase them in the forseeable future.

Provided the search engine works alright this should do well. Obviously they want to get it right because there are Billions of dollars in it for them if they do. People taking part in the keywords side of it also stand to make a lot of money if it all goes to plan.

Don't write it off, if you want more of my experience get in touch.

    The grumblings have begun.

Questions about the "founders" and taxation issues are being asked but not answered to some people's satisfaction.

I have been contacted (via my blog) by 4 people who have put in their refund requests.

Time to sit back and watch it unravel.

    Funny thing on their site:
Our Webcrawlers have not yet been turned on and once activated relevant results will be displayed. Our algorithm will impress the world. Currently our directory content is being used in beta and search relevancy is not accurate.
Yet people swear they are going to give google a run for their money.
How can you claim to have been "paid" when nothing works yet?

Looks like a scam to me. How is this going to compete with google? And it pays you money for free? Yahoo almost died, and had to merge with bing. Altavista, AOL search is dead.

    Good luck!

From what I understand... people are paying for something that doesn't exist, and that is how they will be able to provide all the payouts.

It'll be a big cycle... majority of the money being spent on keywords (stuck, can't cash out) --> They can use that money to pay other people and still have a large sum to keep for other purposes (they can actually be serious about attempting to beat the bigger search engines --> more traffic --> more people pay for virtual keywords --> more money they gain)

If you get links from your keywords and it gets bought up those links get you zilch.Bet just before launch we all get keywords bought out dirt cheap and they owe us nothing at launch.

lol...I read your blog and I am becoming a believer too. I have been in for a month and am "up" 57%.Yes they have had some hiccups. But this is not the first company that Paypal have screwed with and they wont be the last either.

I am looking forward to the imminent snapshot bonus on 30 September. And of course the launch of the search engine itself. That will be make or break time.

There is still a L-O-N-G way to go but so far I would give them better marks than I would give Mr Obama.

To those of you who are sitting on the fence I say, give it a go. You dont need to spend much. You can start with 10 bucks. It may make you a few thousand or you may lose the lot (ALL TEN!). But its great fun and trading keywords is becoming quite a science.

I invested in this Kooday machine. A whopping 20.00 which netted me 18 kooday dollars to begin buying keywords. All the people here questioning the business, the founders, the concept to me are perfectly natural. As of today I have not spent another penny on this and have become one of those Kooday Diamond members.

In a phone conversation with Mark Huhtala he unveiled what the snapshot bonus system was and when to expect it to happen. It was explained to me directly from Mark one of the two founders of Kooday that the snapshot is to take a picture of every members account so bonus monies could be determined for those founding members who have helped in putting Kooday on the grid. The bonus system based upon advertising revenues would be as follows. For every profit sharing point you earned as a founding member would net you out 1.00 a point. Once Gold it would generate 100.00 per gold point and Diamond members would be eligible for 1,000,000 to a cap of 5.5 Mil depending upon their keyword values. This is a buyout figure and from there, monthly bonuses would be made by the value of their keyword inventory and links. Each link would pay you 15.00.

I hear so many scream scam about Paypal's refusal to guarantee deposits was primarily due to the age of Kooday and no guarantee they would even make it, so they balked and Kooday had to switch to Alertpay. This is not a first as I have seen Paypal do this with numerous startups. Paypal is pretty conservative and chooses not to take risks on start ups, that's pretty common really.

Now Kooday has reopened their payouts because Alertpay has been implemented. I know of many friends who have requested payouts and have gotten their paypal refunds already. I have been paid more than triple what I have invested with great expectations for today's profit sharing monies. I have seen no signs of a scam as of yet. I will stay focused and watch. The only real thing I have at risk is time served. So far more and more people are joining in so the ease to climb the rankings is disappearing. I highly doubt you could invest 20.00 today and make diamond with no further investment as I did. I am part of a group who really broke down the gains per purchase and therefore was able to capitalize with the smallest of investments.

I will keep you informed if this "hype" is nothing more or is it real? Time will tell now.

[edit] I consider this to be nothing more then a 20.00 lotto ticket, with the percentages in my favor more so then in a real lottery ticket. My expectations are low, but none the less if it hits I will be extremely happy. This, to me was so much more fun then being a network marketer who makes a living spamming the hell out of the world through email lists. I hate spammers.

This just in. They just paid out the diamond and gold bonus funds:
      131531510Gold Profit Share Deposit9/16/2010 1:21:08 PM$13.50 131525870Diamond Profit Share Deposit9/16/2010 1:20:20 PM$16.42 131491720Gold Profit Share Deposit (PayPal)9/16/2010 1:15:48 PM$13.50 131484170Diamond Profit Share Deposit (PayPal)9/16/2010 1:14:47 PM$16.42
Total added to my account was 59.84. A friend of mine just got his first payout of 76.00 to Alertpay at the same time. So far this is as legit as promised. I see no signs of scam here. Will continue to monitor very closely. The Gold bonus paid out at approx 1/2 a cent per point. The diamond value is your keyword value/1000 x the gold bonus payout. Which hit the number for me on the head. So far very exciting.

No one is updating anymore so,I guess it's no good anymore?I tested it with $5 and I show $9 on Paypal and a buck and cents on Alert Pay.I asked them to switch the funds 2 months ago,no reply so far.
One would think with all the cash coming in it'd be logical to hire someone to help with the customers.$5 charge to withdraw, ridiculous.
    I see a parasite already.

Looks Like Kooday is dieing a slow death or should I say is dead. It now has been replaced by Kule Search and new one coming on line in January called Tag Village.

One really must be wary with these things.

Thanks for sharing all of your experiences, guys! It saved me at least $49.95, probably more once I would have gotten into the keyword buying!

      Hey all

I have a feeling that you all are pomoting some pre launch hyps.

You know many hypes pay regularly. There are so many forum, money exchange, add, invest all points are true. But is it wise to go after hype ?

Judge yourself before burnt. Take back your invest as fast as possible. Then you play the game, if loose it will be your time.

You should transfer this thread free addvertise area in warrior forum. you will find here (The Off Topic Forum - This is where you can discuss anything you want to discuss with other Warriors.)

If you want to promote then provide the support for those who join those programes too. This is the decent way.
