Hey.
First of all I wanna thank all the warriors out there for their great posts, thoughts and tips.

I started with IM at the beginning of this month. I did some keyword research, read many threads in this forum and learned good things here. Then i found a keyword that was supposed to be a good one. Competition was not that hard and google keyword tool told me it has 9k exact match searches world wide and a CPC of 0,40$. So I decided to build my first website. I wrote content for the main page got some wordpress plugins like all-in-one-seo, a privacy plugin and a sitemap plugin. I got an exact match domain .org and finally 2 weeks ago my page was online. After some bookmarking my page was approved to adsense the same day and was indexed by google. I think this was very fast. It was around page 3 or so on google. So I decided to write an article and submitted it to 6 major directories. After 3-4 days the page settled down on rank 15. I wrote more content for subpages and another 5-6 articles, again submitted to 6 major directories. I tried out some things like pinging and I was lucky to get a free subscription to backlingbooster. I can boost only 5 backlinks /day but I its ok for free
After a week of work my page achieved rank 8 to google, and rank 1 to yahoo and bing. My subpages aren't that good. One is on rank 63 and one on 12 but only 200 searches.
Well that sounds good but I only get around 3-5 unique visitors a day and in 2 weeks I got 3 clicks. And they all were at one day ... My adsense is hungry but there is nothing to eat
I know IM is a hard business and you have to be very patient and so on, but I think it's not that good. My plan was to wait until my site made me the money for a new domain to build another website. But that won't happen until next year
So I discovered Hubpages and now I thought of making a new page on there and focus on Hubpages. The pro is that I haven't to buy a domain, the con is to rank a hubpage is maybe more difficult cause of no metatags, exact domain, etc.

Now I ask the warriors out there if you have any advice to me, a tip or something I did wrong, I am thankful for everything

P.S.: Sorry for my non-native englisch. I am a german so if you need one here I am

    Thanks Kim.
What exactly do you mean with the interlinking stuff? and is it useful to stick to my website although there is no traffic income and no clicks at all?! and all the pages ranking better than mine are PR 1-3 pages. So how can I outrank them? I know that I am not a very patient person and I really have to work on that

Hi Reptor, welcome to the Warrior Forum.

I'm at Hubpages too as energyadvisor. Look me up if you like.

Interlinking is linking between the different articles you write there. If you have a couple of articles on the same topic you can interlink them. That way your visitor have easier access to your other articles. At Hubpages you'll also have the option to "suggest links". You'll find this option on at the top of your article when you're not in edit mode. The system will automatically pick words in your article that you can link to suggested other articles. But you can also do it manually by going in edit mode.

You can also link to your own page if its related but most people do that in their profile.

HubPages rank really good in google naturally. Google loves them. Just be wise with tags and put a custom description for your article.

Feel free to ask anything you like

hey energy. Thank you for these good tips. I'll try out the link suggestion tool.
Can you say that you earn any money using hubpages? Are you aiming for SE traffic? How do your hubpages rank in google?

I did some keyword research right now and I discovered that I am not good in that topic ^^. I don't know for what I have to look at to get good niches. Some say that you can easily find >20 niches a day. Am I just too stupid to see them? I know that keyword research is the biggest part for your business so I want to improve my skills. Any advices?

As you can see in my profile I just started out with Hubpages. So no much adsense yet. And yes I'm targeting SE traffic.

Do you use any software for your keyword research?

I agree with Kim. Keep it fresh, all the time. continuously improve and tweek. Then replicate what works. Then keep the content fresh, all the time, again.

    And don't give up.

Do you already have SE traffic?

I had no software for my keyword research as I started. Now I have the free version of WebCEO and I think it is quite good (I am not 100% in webCeo atm but I am working on that ). Any other free keyword research tools I shoul know?
My biggest problem is to have the right idea for what to search.

I have a static page with information on it. It's not a blog so I can't keep the content of my main page fresh that easy. I just can add new subpages. Or am I completely wrong ?

At the moment I'm using Market Samurai. It has a lot of features and I'm really glad I bought it.

Important is that you keep writing good content. Don't rush things. It is better to spend a week on 1 article than publish 10 articles with less quality. When you spend a lot of time doing research and give it all you have you'll have a great feeling when you press the publish button.

          Oh sorry, the SE traffic.

Well, I'm just starting out so I can't expect to have a lot of SE traffic. But I do the best I can to promote my articles.

      Congratulations> you are taking action!!!
It is a good idea to wait until your pages earn some money to get the sofwares,( as soon as you can Market Samuray is a must).
By the way the phrases "Google Page Rank" and "Google Rankings" are mistakenly interchanged.
The term pagerank refers to the algorithm Google uses to assess the importance and relevance of every webpage.
The term SERP's (Search engine Results Position ) refers to where you are in Google's search results for a given keyword or keyphrase.
      Hope that help

You can try Market Samurai if you like. They have a trial for 5 days through this link Keyword Analysis Tool - Market Samurai. I think the normal trial is 5 days with full control of everything. You can extend your trial with this link Challenge.

The extension used to be 100 days. They made the extension because of a 100 day challenge. But because it's already half way, you'll get another 40 or 50 days.

        Try it out.
ps. be sure to watch all their instructional video's. This is really a must if you want to use the tool correctly.

    • Starting out is not easy. Just keep writing good contents. This forum helps you encouraging and giving you leverage. When you find something works, stick to it, stick long enough to get a result. If nothing works for a while (3 months plus), revise and think why. You might be targeting something that won't do it for you. Enjoy the process of building your business, that becomes your strength. Try to connect with many people/customers/audience, it opens up your traffic. Pick a product or industry that gives you high profit and don't forget your pick is what you like (otherwise you don't sound convincing) In the worst scenario, if nothing really works, don't be afraid to quit and change what you are doing - start making changes so that you can bring a result.

I am the guy sitting on #7 right now. So I just want to know if it would be good to stick with my website and build somehow new content there? It is actually a static page with information on it, not a blog. What is your opinion?

And about the content. In one of the videos i actually saw "The Keyword Tree". The guy was speaking about long tail keywords and upgrade my site. So would it be good to go on with building this "keyword tree" ?

        Thanks for your opinions

Thats good to hear I already thought that it shouldn't be that hard to claim up the ladder but I don't know right now where to get good PR backlinks. I am submitting my articles to the high PR directories but the backlists indexed so far are only PR 0 ... is this normal? Any good suggestions for backlinks? I know not every warrior will give his strategy away but maybe a hint?
