How to wake up happy & excited!

This is a simple yet very powerful technique I learned from Anthony Robbins the American self-help author and success Coach.

This technique helps you to reprogram yourself and to wake up happy everyday. He calls it "morning power questions".

Well, you don't need to limit yourself and only use it in the morning. Why not use it when you feel stressed out and need to change your focus to something more positiv or right before you are falling asleep.

Have a great day and enjoy this wonderful technique!

Morning joy!

Every morning just before you get out of bed or while brushing your teeth ask yourself the following questions...
  • What am I happy about in my life right now? What about that makes me happy? How does that make me feel?
  • What am I excited about in my life right now? What about that makes me excited? How does that make me feel?
  • What am I proud about in my life right now? What about that makes me proud? How does that make me feel?
  • What am I grateful about in my life right now? What about that makes me grateful? How does that make me feel?
  • What am I enjoying in my life right now? What about that do I enjoy? How does that make me feel?
  • Who do I love? Who loves me? How does that make me feel?

Now, maybe the first thing that comes to your mind right now is "why should I use some stupid technique?" or "I don't have time for this".

Then you should really realize that you already have your own morning routines. Maybe you wake up to the sound of the alarm clock and the first thing that comes to your mind is "ooh I am so tired, is already time to wake up? Ooh man, this sucks!" Then you go ahead and have breakfast, taka a shower and brush your teeth, with a negative feeling in your head.

So why not change some "bad" or "disempowering" habits that you are currently using and replace them with positive and empowering ones? Instead of starting your day complaining about how tired you are, you get to feel happy, excited, proud, grateful, joy and loved!

If you do this for a period of time, you will see that your day and your life will slowly change into a better and more positive one. Now remember this should NOT be some quick thing that you do every morning, BUT really think and feel what the answers are giving you.

One thing you can do is to print the questions and place them on your bathroom mirror or any place else where you will see them every morning.

Enjoy and feel free to leave a comment.

Awesome post - thanks for sharing.
Great technique. Feel free to shorten it or modify it to something more personal to you - it will add more power the technique.
Also doing this kind of "mind magic" or programming has a massive effect when looking into your own eyes in the mirror.
    Pretty powerful techniques when combined.

And yes, you may feel silly but it works.

Another suggestion is to have something positive to look forward to doing or having that day. Waking up happy and excited is practically guaranteed.

Realistically, this kind of thing doesn't happen every day.

But you can force or encourage it by planning the night before. For example, is there a chapter that you look forward to writing? A contact that you anticipate making? A fun thing to do like shopping or just being with friends?

Choose one or more things that make YOU happy and you WILL be happy AND have something to look forward to when you wake up the next morning.

Ahh good point, we already have thoughts in the morning we arent paying attention to. It makes sense to switch them to ones that would actually serve us.
