The Formula To The Success

Hey, guys!

I’m not a very active member in this section (I think that this is my first post here!). However, I started reading some threads here 2 or 3 days ago and I noticed 2 things. They are:

* There are many people here with a serious problem: too much thinking and little action.

* There is lot’s of good advice being posted here by several helpful guys, but there is a lot of misleading information as well.

So, I decided to share the one I consider (I’m not saying that this is an absolute truth, this is just my opinion) the formula to the success. I’m a 19 year old full-time internet marketer who got started online in the beginning of 2008 at the age of 16. I’m not one of those prodigious boys making 6 figure a month at 12, but, yes, I’m young and making a very good income with CPA. Some people seem not to like young people who succeed in this industry, but I’m very proud of who I am and what I make, so I have no reason to hide my age.

That said, here is the exact formula that I used to succeed in this business:

I’m not saying that everybody who is a successful internet marketer has used this formula. I’m just saying that I have used it.

The first thing that you need to understand is that money will not come to you just because of the way you think or simply because you are optimist. I’m sorry if this statement goes against your principles or philosophy. My intention is not to tell you how to think or what to do, but just let you know what my experience in this business has taught me in almost 3 years.

The mindset is important. No, it’s essential! But only when thoughts become actions and actions become results. Thoughts alone are worth nothing when it comes to business.

If Bill Gates were optimist and had thought about creating Microsoft, but had done nothing, would he be a millionaire? The same about Steve Jobs with Apple, Sergey Brin and Larry Page with Google and any other entrepreneur with their successful companies.

So this is the reason why I consider action the most important aspect. Take action. Commit mistakes and learn how things work from your own experiences. Don’t be afraid of going through your learning curve. It’s there, it’s very real and you need to beat it.

The second aspect that you must have in order to become a successful internet marketer is a combination of focus and persistence. You won’t succeed the first time you try and you won’t succeed you don’t try enough. Pretty simple rule that has proven to be true countless times in my life and business. Try. Fail. Try again. Fail. Try once more. Keep doing this until you succeed. But don’t do it jumping from one system to another or your learning curve will be endless. Put your focus on something and stick on it until you start getting results.

Finally, we have the system. It is important, but this is the easiest part and you shouldn’t worry too much about it. There are many good systems out there. Actually, chances are that you know more than 10. Just choose one of them, take action and stay focused! There is no hidden system or secret method, it’s just the simple things that you know combined with action and focus. All the rest is fluff.

I know that many people will disagree with my “formula”, but, as I said, this is just the way I think, and I’m not saying that this is the absolute truth and that everybody should use/follow it.

Feel free to post your thoughts here and I’ll be happy to keep this conversation going for as much time as people consider necessary.

:p William

Thanks! I totally agree, even though I'm one of the many who suffer from this flaw. I research waaaay too much, and take little action. Plus, the little action I do take, I am not persistent enough with. I will try very hard to take your advice and turn things around.

    • Hi William,

I think your formula is very good. While I admit that I'm jealous of young people's success, I don't hate seeing them. I don't believe in 'Hardworking is always good' motto. Some middle-aged people love to talk about how much trouble they experienced to get where they are, how hard they worked to overcome the trouble and brought themselves at the current situation. I'm not against hardworking but I support 'smart working' more. I think success of young people is one of the good ways to demonstrate 'smart working is good'. You are one of the good examples, William, just ignore older people who try to let you down.

Anyway, I agree that action is most important part of success. I cannot stop thinking about chocolate when I see the chart. (are they chocolate?) It is easier to do passive things than active things, for example, reading resources are easier than writing them. I always remind myself to limit the resources I get. Otherwise I fall into the information-overload trap. When your mindset is set, then you should take actions, no more research. As you take actions, you often realize that you don't need more information because your focus gets clearer and information you need gets narrowed down.

      Thanks for sharing your formula!

The only problem I have with the graph as it's posted is that it could be the same graph used for a factory worker on an assembly line to earn his/her $12.50/hour.
I'm reminded of the principle of "Non-linear Income," where the "action" that involves actuall time output is relatively small, while the system is huge and governs the outcome, namely, income over and over from many sources. Just something to think about.

Thank you for your nice words.

Btw, I don't know if it's chocolate, I just go the graphic from the internet and and added the text, didn't even pay attention to the content of the site. :p

Actually, I think that the graph can apply to many things in life and practically anything related to business.

However, when I say "action" I don't mean hard working. You can do PPC to CPA and work just an hour or 2 a day on your business. By action I mean actually do something instead of just learn and think.

What I've noticed is that many people "overthink" the things and end up doing nothing. So simply take action, create the blog, launch the campaign, promote the offer, do, do and do. It's not about time, I'm not saying that you should work 10h a day on your business, what I'm saying is that you should implement what you know instead of just learning more.

That is great advice. At the same time, I think most of us are focused on staying positive because we are faced with failure so often. We need the encouragement of others which this forum has been great for!
But you are right, we have to take action if we are to succeed but that action cant be half hearted and if you aren't positive about what you are doing, chances are you won't do it well.

So maybe we just need to focus all that positive energy into action

Yes, we need to be positive, optmists. However, we need to do this while taking action!

Thoughts are worth nothing in this business if we don't turn them into action, concrete results. The guys who make the big bucks are the action takers!

            Hey William

I thank you for sharing your Formula and i agree with it. I definetely think people should put in the work and stay focus in order to get the results. Just because we work for ourselves doesn't mean we don't put in the hours no more, i believe we put in the hours NOW, to benefit from them Later and have the freedom we want by Leveraging systems.

Thanks again for sharing your system.

I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed. And the number of times I succeed Is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep trying.

I don't recall who said this, and I am don't have the exact quote correct, but it goes something like this:

"Movement, any movement is better then standing still. It is through movement that new doors and opportunities will open".

I think about this any time I feel stuck. Then I go and do something, anything that will help my businesses. Whether it is a blog post of some back links etc...

    Hope that helps.
