I Know I Can Do It - But What Is It?

by Roar

Deep down inside me I know I have a talent, a skill, a purpose
in this life that I was put here to do.

Like all Warriors, I am looking for financial freedom so I can live
a stress-free (money stress anyway), choice-filled life. But to
reach my financial goal I must give something of value.

That something of value is what I, uniquely, have to contribute
to the world...but what is it?

How do you find your purpose in life?

If you have no clue what you're supposed to be doing how do you
find your soul's niche so that you don't stumble through life and maybe
waste your time on the planet?

Does anyone know of any exercises, meditations or process to uncover
your life's mission?

Thank you all - it's good to be a Warrior!

All the best,
Robert

This first thing you need to find and be sure are your passions. Try and find the things that you are truly passionate about. The best way of doing this is by asking yourself the following question: "what would I do if I wasn't paid for it?"

Once you discover your true passion, you pretty much know your purpose in life. Once you have passion for something, you will naturally try to be the best at it and learn as much as you can about it. Once you do that, you will have knowledge and skills that other people will pay for.

I hope this helps. If you've got any questions, just PM me. Thanks.

I agree with him. I've been online for a while now and tried a few things I truly wasn't interested in. Then two weeks ago I made a niche site about something I really loved..and guess what? Other people really loved it too and it started pulling $20 a day adsense..Going from 0-20 in a day was a lot for me.

Find something you love - then get to work on it..

Like others have said you must find what you are passionate about and turn that into a niche. You will have a much easier time succeeding because you are doing something you truly love, and better yet, it will not feel like "work"

I second what has been said here. I have been running a self help website for ten years and the writing I do has filled my life with a purpose and hopefully I am helping others too...

you need to find the passion and what it is you have to give others

Thanks for the advice. I do have to get in touch with my passions
but I'm so depressed I don't feel passionate about anything it seems.

What used to get me feeling excited and alive just makes me feel...I
    don't know....flat, unmoved.

It seems I've lost passion for life.

I have to agree. I used to build sites just for flipping, adsense etc but I didn't feel really committed to them or passionate about them. Then I started writing the book that is in my siggy and I was working my butt off but enjoyed every minute of it. This passion for my product actually helped me develop the product even more and think of other products that will compliment it.

Sometimes it is hard to find what you are passionate about. Don't give up - the passion might find you instead. It really does make a difference though to how much you enjoy your day and IM when you care deeply about the niche.

I hope that helps. All the best of success.

Robert, in my coaching practice, I always start with one fundamental question.

What is it right now that you want that is most important to you?

Once you come up with your answer (or answers), write it down. Then ask yourself what it is about what your answer that is important to you.

Often times this can be very difficult to do, but it starts you down a process by which you can get to your best thinking by peeling back the layers of what you really want.

Do what you truely want to do, and become who/what you truely want to become. It can be more than one thing. You know deep down inside you exactly what you really want to achieve in life - that is what you want to get! Too many people stray from their dreams and therefor never even have a chance of achieving them. If you focus your life on your life goals then you will achieve them, you are destined to be whoever you want to be, for it is your thoughts that invent your future!

For example.. me? - I want to be one of the greatest internet marketers of all time, a millionairre. When i have alot of money comming in i want to study ninjistu (ive always loved martial arts, done karate as a kid but ninjistsu is the best martial art for me) and become a master at it. I want to live in a huge house on a massive piece of land and live a life where i can buy anything i want, there and then, and it wouldnt be a problem. - The day that i am standing on my balcony with my son, looking over my past my Ferrarri into my own private lake is the day i say to myself "Ive done it. Ive done what ever man wishes he could do, i have achieved my most desired dreams"

N 2 tell you the truth i want to do a whole lot more than that! only i have realised that if i focus on nothing but money first, and get riches as quick as possable (but taking as long as it takes, not being stupid) then once i have the business and the money then i can do anything i want to do. If i wanted to take up jet ski-ing as a hobby i could, same with being a pilot, same with anything.

I think ultimately i want to be reach the point where i have enough money and power to have my business run itself or workers running it, where it is ever more increasing, so i have all the time in the world and enough money to do anything i want to. I would buy my family houses and cars and my Son well he would get the empire i would have built.

I want to do SOOOO much stuff in my life it would be impossable to do them all while working a 9-5, 1 because i wouldnt be able to afford it and 2 because i wouldnt have the time. Whereas if i forgot about all them things (well not forget just remember that they come as the reward for "making it") and i focus on making millions first, then i could effectivly buy time and collect my reward.

Nomatter what you do - have your one ultimate goal and focus EVERYTHING on that. No matter what it is your doing make sure it is benefitial towards YOUR ultimate goal. And you WILL make it.

    I feel your pain, Roar.

Can't tell you how many jobs I've had - that I absolutely despised. Not to be negative; today I look on them all as stepping stones. "Ok. I KNOW I don't like this line of work!"

Take the best bits from what was learned in the experience and move on.

Through all of this drastically edited story, I managed to seek out and find those areas that are enjoyable for me and, as you said, have purpose.

Funny thing is, most of those interests seemed to have been with me all my life. As far back as I can remember, these passions were there.

Question is: What brings you the most joy in life?

Answer that one for yourself, and you may have found what you have been looking for.

    Best wishes to you.

The best step-by-step guide that I've ever found for answering the questions you ask, Roar, is in a book called "SuperSelf" by Charles Givens. I'm currently re-reading it.

It's available from Amazon, with a used price starting at $0.01. But don't just take my word; check out the customer reviews: Amazon.com: Super Self: Doubling Your Personal...Amazon.com: Super Self: Doubling Your Personal...

Write down what you love to do. What are your hobbies? What makes you wake up in the morning? What drives you ? Make a list of things you love to do and go from there. Writing down your goals, dreams, desires etc. helps to clarify your direction and where you want to go.

Life has a way to point you to the right direction too. Call if providence, luck or destiny.

      Hope this helps.

I know how you feel - I have been depressed for most of my life and spent the last 13 years studying how to succeed with an online business (it should be easier and cheaper than conventional ones) with nothing to show for it except a large amount of stuff on my disk.

The problem is one of motivation/drive. I have very little idea what 'joy' means and I struggled to find anything at all that interested me. There is some hope now however, as I applied the Emotional Freedom Technique to myself and it blew me away completely. So I now have feelings when previously I felt very little at all - quite a challenge! Consequently I strongly recommend EFT to anyone who is experiencing any kind of blockage, though I also suggest that you employ an experienced practitioner rather than doing it yourself!

On a practical day-to-day level, I think that the best approach is to notice what you do enjoy doing and also to play to your strengths. Also 'force' yourself to absorb positive information on a daily basis and get into the habit of building a 'Can Do' attitude. It also helps a lot if you have supportive people in your life. I could do better in that respect! Also apply the KISS principle, especially if (like me) you have Perfectionist tendencies.

Regarding success in business, for myself I intend to launch my 'ebizgold' site soon, packed with high-quality PLR material including the Banabu success course. My USP is to provide support to members and to address the emotional/practical aspects of running a business from home as well as the technical ones. Thus I am acting largely as a publisher rather than an expert in my own right, so that may be an avenue that you could consider as well.

I think that I may enjoy that a little; I certainly hope so!

I guess it's a course of trial and error.

You'd be silly to expect a cashflow from an online business without putting some money aside , and of course commiting to not one thing, but making sure each thing you start, you finish!

    Robert,

I've just read "Money, and the Law of Attraction: Learning to Attract Wealth, Health, and Happiness" (Amazon.com: Money, and the Law of Attraction:...Amazon.com: Money, and the Law of Attraction:... ). I found the book to be very useful and I think that it may help to answer your questions.
