What Is Your Biggest Regret In Life?

Sure, it would be great and probably
beneficial to live life without any
regrets.

However, I am sure we all have some.

For me, I wish I started doing martial
arts a lot sooner in life. I love it!

What is your biggest regret????

It might help motivate other people
to act now so they dont regret later.

    Hi,Good Question

Regret is base on the past..to look back to the past and see your weak points is a shoot YOURSELF explination...

We can do nothing to the past..To live the in this moment NOW..will open up a bright future...

Probably trying to be too clever, rather than just going directly at things. It's very tempting to spend a lot of time thinking about the best way to do something, to the point I have spent too much time thinking and too little time doing.

If there was one thing I could teach high school students, it would probably be that the measure of a successful plan is always directly limited by the amount of action you take on it. A perfect plan without doing anything is useless, and a mediocre plan you pour your heart and soul into accomplishing is priceless.

Regret is useless to carry with you. It should only be used as a temporary tool to identify the cause and effects behind your choices and actions or inaction. As soon as it is understood, file that information away for next time and purge the regret and guilt from your system. It has no purpose beyond raising the red flag for you to deal with. Deal with it immediately, this is important. Hide it and it will brood and grow like a tumor. Face it and deal with it and it will be done, and you will be a better person for it.

Totally agreed! Although no one can live a life not regretting something, we should simply learn from our own mistakes and bad decisions which we make from time to time. Then we focus on the future and move forward from then on.

      Cheers~

Never have regrets. Life is a learning curve and you would not be where you are today if you had not experienced your past. Live in the present because it is just that - it is the present you give yourself every day.

my biggest regret is following the expected social path. I should of never went to school, I could of worked many years and be rich by now or have a huge home deposit paid off.

I should of saved every dollar instead of wasting it and buy Gold or Silver 10 years ago and sell it today.

Oh well....you cant know what you dont know.

My only regret - and a lesson I try and pass along to my kids regularly is to NOT fear setbacks earlier in life - the faster you fail, the faster you succeed in whatever you do.

Played it too safe in my twenties, that has all changed and now every day is exciting, a massive learning experience and much more productive...can't help but think where things would be now if I had done the same when I was in my teens.

Oh well, can't re-write history, but certainly made it my mission to share these experiences with others so they can feel comfortable NOT being afraid of failing.

Regrets won't do you any good especially if it affects you for a long time. Regretting for something bad you have done is okay for maybe a week. Do something and try to get the bad decision bring out something good and look forward on how to make things right next time.

Not paying more attention at school - when someone wants to teach you, its usually a good idea to listen to them, especially when you're a captive audience.

Not trusting my instincts more in my early business days.

Should've invested in domain names 10/12 years ago.

Should've remembered to put the chicken in the fridge last night before the cat got it.

I take stock of my life every day, week, month and 3-months; i sit back and evaluate everything i have done. that had helped me to lean and quickly correct myself but there are time that i had been so dull not to have pick he lessons of life so promptly so had to go for so long to later get it and unhappy with myself; but it has only taught me to learn from others and ask hem a few question, also to speak my questions out into space empty space with no one there so life could assist me by talking back to me or my recognition come awaken to something of note so i could be helped but this work more when you allow God to help you.

Looking back constantly and occasionally has been really helpful.

Regret? YES but use them wisely.
    Thanks

The past just left town and won't return. The future will always stand you up. Live in the present. It's the only place where you can make a difference.

I totally forgave myself and refused to regret staying with my ex husband as long as I did. Now I regret that I didn't learn my lesson enough about wasting precious life in a situation I don't want: my job, which I'd walk away from right now if I had any kind of cojones. I'm a girl, but that's no excuse!

I think it's healthy to have regrets. Not to dwell on them and let them take over your life, but just to keep the sting there so you don't repeat your mistakes again.

My biggest regret? Not being focused enough and not starting early enough when trying to grow an Internet business.

    Hi

Mine would be not concentrating in my studies during my college years. I have all the privileges and yet i really took it for granted. Could've been very successful by then.

Too bad cause it's too late now.

I don't have one. Dwelling on the past is a really toxic thing to do. It will stress you out forever because there is nothing you can do to change the past.

Start thinking about what you can do to change your life in the future and forget about the past.

My biggest regret in life is not having children earlier. I waited until I was financially sound - in my mid 30's.

It would have happened on its own and I feel the decade I spent living in the Rockies paying off debts (and snowboarding), while certainly creating moments I'll never forget, would have been better had I started my family then.

I don't know if I regret anything really. When I think about it, my "regrets" are what shaped my life, and my life is damn sweet right now.

You could dwell on your regrets, or you can learn from them and move forward.
