Thats a touching story, no bs.

If i were you i would create a squeeze page and do maybe a solo ad to build your list.

You seem like a very genuine person and as long as you look after your list, your list will look after you.

However, you may want to wait for a few other warriors to comment, as this is only what i would do.

Regardless, i wish you every success in the world, and if you truely believe you can make this work. It will.

Definitely build a list. You're getting some traffic already, so you know how to do that(good start). Now capture some emails from that traffic and grow it into a profitable list.

(I'm not self-promoting, I am simply sharing some examples of squeeze pages.)

Building a list is a great idea but it can take a while to get a list large enough to make money from it. You would also need to create content such as a free guide or report to build your list. PLR articles and software can help get your started.

But with the money that's where I'll take a look at.... I have a vast collection of mens magazine that can help me with this as well...

Hey there! I'm in a similar situation and can sympathize with what you're saying.

One thing I've learned is you have to build your own equity to maintain a foothold in the markets. You need to be in control of SOMETHING.

My advice would be never to start an online business without at least 2 of the 3 following things:

A website
A product
A list

These give you control and help you maintain it by owning your own means to profits.

If all you have are adsense sites, you are essentially an employee of Google, which can't be much better than your current status. You will be working long and hard to get your sites ranked and keep them well trafficked with visitors.

Advice taken... I don't have any of those 3 right now.. I already had a website before but it is already busted cause I don't know anything about off-page optimization before.... Now I think I will build a list on what I have... I'll try my very best to create a website sith the sole purpose of List building.....

Okay so here's the deal.

Anything that smells of "get rich quick" is already doomed to failure. Why? because EVERYBODY else is trying it too.

But... there is a way to make fast money on a short term basis.

You said:

bookmarks, article marketing, press releases, RSS directory submitting, File sharing, Directory and forum linking.

Guess who doesn't know how to do this but desperately needs this? LOCAL BUSINESSES! That's right.

With a little effort and a few discussions with people you already do business with, you could probably find 4 local businesses in the next 4 weeks that would absolutely LOVE to have a facebook fan page made, press releases written and sent out for them, articles written and sent out for them, bookmarks for those articles and press releases and maybe a twitter and youtube page set up. If you charged just $500 each... you've made your $2k.

And guess what.. almost no "design" skills necessary. No software necessary. No amazing talent necessary.

In fact.. if you charged each business 2 payments of $375 (first payment in advance and final payment once job is complete) then you could outsource all of the article writing, press releases and bookmarking, as well as have any designs made up for graphics etc.

Now... I say short term.. because yes you can make a ton of money this way. However, I believe in creating long term automatic residual income. So this is just a quick fix until you can get something else working.

But..realistically, you could easily make $5k a month doing just this. However... you have to get moving. After December 12th, it's really tough to make any money with local businesses.

One year I made $40k between Thanksgiving and December 12th, and then less than $2k between then and the end of the year.

So get busy!

Local Business?? what do you mean? Will I talk to business owners here and try to promote their business Online?

I am from the Philippines only few business owners here are aware of the internet(10-20%), almost of them are scared of it. I don't know why but when most of them hears the term internet "scam, hacking etc etc" ussually comes to their mind....

Also the reason I am working in the Internet is because money conversion here is very low. The minimum wage here is $8 for 8 hours (For Factory Workers). A little bit higher for office employees. So charging $500 for each would be a little bit unreachable.... With that $500 they can pay 2-3 workers in a month... Also to be honest my monthly salary here is $500 and I have been promoted 3 times already I started at $300.... So that $500 less tax that becomes $400 or less. Then less expenses from transportation food etc. I can only save merely $200 a month. And that won't suffice in the delivery of my wife this december 27(due date)...

I know in the US Call Center Agents(technical) are paid $12 an hour/$2000(+-) a month. But here we are paid $250-$400 as a start and where did the money go????? In the Dreams of the company owners.......

Can you tell me more on what you think about this after hearing the facts on my side?

My reply... really? Maybe I should move to the Philippines! I love the idea of living in exotic locations.

I can work from anywhere and make money. So if it's that cheap to live there, then I'd be wealthy pretty fast.

First off.. I highly recommend Fiverr too. I've just been playing around with it as an experiment and I've been able to conjure up $98 in pay in less than a month, and that's with no real effort, other than changing my signature in this forum. Oh, and it's probably been less than 2 hours work... for the whole month!

Okay, so in regards to local business. Then you might have to change your strategy. In the U.S. businesses are beginning to realize that they're missing out. A "fan page" on facebook is different than a regular profile. It can have unlimited followers, and has broadcast ability.

However, you should still have some locally owned businesses in your area that may not necessarily want a facebook page, but they want to promote their business better. Look for people who are already buying ads, and then check to see if they have a youtube channel, twitter account and facebook fan page setup .

Like I said.. you only need a few customers if you do it like this. And... as you probably already know, the key isn't in knowing exactly how to do everything... but rather in knowing what needs to be done, who can do it, and how much you can reasonably charge for it.

You might have to charge $150 for what I would charge $500 for. Once you are good at it, you can network with others here on the forums, and get jobs where they charge $500 and pay you $250 of it, and then you arrange to get the work done.

Anyway, I hope this helps. Just remember. It's easier to please 4 people at $500 each than it is to please 40 people at $50 each.

It is very inexpensive to live in the Philippines. Im American, only 40, and living here on a Veterans disability pension while working to make extra money online.

Rayson, as was mentioned by Tony, lower your price on the local marketing help for local business's. Find some business's that have good profits (you know who they are), Charge $100 (4200 php) up front fee then 50 dollars (2100 php) a month to promote them online. Get 20-30 customers (however many you can handle or find) and you got a nice business going. If you only found 10 customers you would have gotten 1000 dollars and have 500 coming in a month.

It took me a year to gather the money to get to the Philippines while i was still in America. I profoundly BELIEVE that the only thing between us and our goals is our thinking! Be creative, think outside the box.
I have an american that wants help with his website.. he doesn't have much money but he has land and a hotel. He is offering me a nice apartment for me helping him with his marketing. Profit doesn't always have to be cash, but if it saves you money its a good thing. We are where we are in life cuz we think a certain way. Change your thinking and things will change. Its not fast and its not easy, but it is possible. Spend as much time on motivational reading as you spend on learning to market as we are our own worst enemy if we are not positive thinkers. YOU CAN DO IT!! If you believe you can you are right if you believe you can't your right. You decide.

Make muscle fast niche (WTF?!) I'm a starter back then, I found a keyword that has a low number of competition.. only 12,000 competeting webpages. Two months ago when I learned how to check for the Top 20 competition I found out that the top 20 is a monster authority site with less than 2000 backlinks EACH... haha

Also Just last month I've learned about this... before I thought that only Bookmarks are the way to do offpage...

Its a process of discovery. You're in that process (we all are!). Keep trying, keep testing, keep going; but for god's sake don't give up. Keep at it and find that happy medium that I mentioned to keep your sanity while you're getting to where you want to be.

Make muscle fast niche (WTF?!) I'm a starter back then, I found a keyword that has a low number of competition.. only 12,000 competeting webpages. Two months ago when I learned how to check for the Top 20 competition I found out that the top 20 is a monster authority site with less than 2000 backlinks EACH... haha

Also Just last month I've learned about this... before I thought that only Bookmarks are the way to do offpage...

Right now I'll be focusing on building a simple squeeze page to get started with my leads, then from there on I'll get going... I'll also study Creating a Fan page to monetize traffic in Facebook and I'll contact few of my friends..

actually if i was you right now...i would look into affiliate marketing first. but the key here is to. include list building and subscriber relations into your affiliate marketing strategies. that way anytime a new high value product comes out, all you will have to do is prime your email list then send them the link and you collect the money...simple.

thanks Mr Swaggs.... Do we have an affiliate program like clickbank that pays via paypal? I tried paypal before and it will take forever for the first payment to reach me.

I'll also start building my list... I read about it and also taken note of it... it's just that I thought that I will start list building when my super duper website with lots of contents etc etc is up.... but now.. I'll build a list with just a simple squeeze page up...

What I would advice is not sexy,it is simple, and you may not make $4k per month,but,in a little while you can be making a steady 2k per month.You can then scale it.Is it "hard"? Yes.Is it effective? Yes.

Thanks for the praise mike. I already tried writing articles for somebody. It pays yes I know but with those Articles, I should've already created 10+ websites. So I decide to stop article creation for somebody and be my own boss without anyone to satisfy but myself and my family... with 10 hours of article creation I ussually get around $50 a day. I write slow that's why I want to make things and my articles perfect... PLus I review my articles 24hours after creating them and make some final adjustments. That's how I write and when giving out articles to previous customers I am not rushing. I'll tell them straight up that that is how I work and they have to wait. But thank you so much for the valuable input.

Hi Rayson, list is a must do. And when you do put it together, try to fight the urge to pump it for everything it has. (been there on that) Just be yourself and people will see you for you and that's what most people want. The rewards will be great at the end of the road, hang in there.

Thanks for the input. Yeah it's my 1st year anniversary in the I.M. Industry. For the record I have gathered around $200 for the whole year from different sidelines. Not from a website or not from affiliate marketing.

Also that's why I pursue Internet marketing because I'm into Sales. Since 2004 I worked in a sales department in various companies. Always... Even though I have a small background in I.T. I really like sales. So do we have any Niche about sales? I think that I.M. in whole is the 'sales'. Either selling yourself, your pen name, selling a survey, a product or anything. Internet Marketing is Sales and that is what I like.

It only tells newbie's on basic ways to verify the competition via google search or by using keyword elite plus pure basic on-page optimization and one page of bookmarking.

And after 6 whole months I gained a big experience after which I stopped I.M. because I have no more funds. I am not eating properly, may be once or twice a day, a stick of a cigarette is really hard get etc. I also cried in my room one time because I can't get a stick of cigarette from anybody WTF ARE YOU? Crying over a cigar? loL! "That's my vice" to smoke. And I haven't had a smoke for 2 days already that time.. I have no funds, I have no nothing. I'm like a beggar those days so I stopped I.M. get a job and decided to focus on it. I learned something the hard way which is quoted in ken evoy's e-books "Failing to prepare you are Preparing to fail". 6 months I consumed because of this. Change this change that. Daily updating etc...

So I applied got a job I deserve... Having a good life... then........... ........

I came back after 5 month of recovering from the hardships of I.M.(August) WTF???!!! Am I that hard headed?.... told myself I needed something... that I really want this! I really do!

So I studied a lot for 2 months! Spending 5 hours a day studying I.M.. Read and applied self development & time budgeting e-book(FREE) from Steve Pavlina. Make your article PREsell and Affiliate master's course(FREE) by Ken Evoy, watched the secret(Movie). Bought a couple of e-books. One from Andrew! (Blogger Domination) and one from John McLeod (42 day challenge). Also I think I already finished reading the half Warrior forums lol! Maybe (cause the other half are just repetition of the other and more valuable thread) .... Then that's it.

During this time I Learned a lot on how to do bookmarks, article marketing, press releases, RSS directory submitting, File sharing, Directory and forum linking. I already have accounts here and tested them in the blogs as well. So why oh why am I not creating any site? Because I'm having TROUBLE PICKING MY OWN NICHE and It's really giving me a hard time! You know why? I am an undergraduate, I tried studying I.T. before for only one sememster and quit and applied for a job... I really like building computer hardware's. BUT BUT BUT! I only know of the basics, General Information about how to assemble (OLD and SCRAP) computers and If I select this niche Techie People will read my site which I am not capable of handling. I know you will say that it only depends on the keywords etc. I already hired a keyword researcher and I know that I will not be that good for this kind of stuff but Who knows.. what do you think? Im open to suggestions.... Also regarding niche my job is in a Call Center, so a niche About teaching and speaking fluent English? I thought of that before but I can't remember the reason why I did turn that idea down.

Also" I'm in a rush to get the money fast that's why I picked Adsense. I wanted Income stream and if Adsense can answer that question for me then I'll stick with it. I also don't want to work for somebody anymore. I want to work for myself, my wife and my soon to be baby.

Currently I earned a couple of dollars from Adsense after 14 days of Adsense campaign. I am getting 50 - 100 unique visit's a day(manual traffic). But these guys are really not into buying something. So I put some Adsense to monetize the site. I have a 2-10% CTR depends on the keywords.. I know MFA's as not approved by Adsense but I really wanted something to happen. So I did. I put blogger domination into action.

My setup is that I configure Adsense to display relevant content in my sites. Also I created 7 blogs already and here's the stat's

Status: deleted manually. Asked in Adsense forums if the site is allowed to display ads and the answer is no.

4. Celebrity Photos for sale
Status: Stopped cause of the result after 8 clicks
Earned: $0.12
Clicks: 8
Estimated Avg. CPC: $8.38

5. Online Car Insurance Quotes
Status: Banned by blogger
Estimated Avg. CPC:$61.91

6.Personal Injury Claim
Status: Banned by Blogger

I even tried this one with a high paying keyword but this gives me cents which I cannot do everyday. My PC is turned on 24/7 and they are only giving me cents? I'm really getting tired of this.

I wanted something to happen. My target is $2000 by the end of December. I need that amount to give my wife a safe delivery. Can I achieve this by what means? I really need to get this... I really do need some motivation guys I really need some help...

So you think I need to give up adsense campaign? What will I do? what will I select? what do you thin?

I'm wishing you the best here and rooting for you to keep going.

What I would do is....
Fine tune the stuff that you're already doing, but pick niches that are not so competitive. Let your mind wander.. Start typing hobbies, ailments, toys, jobs, into the google keyword tool, and see what you come up with. I would start with Broad search for more ideas, then Exact match for actual numbers. Really narrow it down for the long tail keywords that have good amount of search but not alot of competition. Dig for these if you have to.

Write down all your ideas, and keep doing keyword research, really narrowing some great keywords, and start building a blog around those - have 1 or 2 keywords per page. You want to aim for a 10 page blog here, and not a 2 -3 page blogger blog.

Buy your own domain and start building a wordpress site. (Wordpress is great for getting tag, category and post pages indexed). Write 2 large articles to start with that will help people with this product (or a review) and get a plugin that will post amazon products.

Try to find a niche that you may have physical products and possibly clickbank also. Maybe search some toys or hot gifts for this Christmas, etc., baby items, fishing, etc. You have to figure that part out.

Make and add video to the site. Write a Press Release and submit to the free press release sites (do a search).

You can also make an audio recording of an article with audacity. I have never tried this, but many im'ers suggest doing this.

Do all the necessary backlinking, rss, add newsfeed, social bookmark, article backlink, squidoo, and keep adding FRESH content every week.

Currently I'm thinking on a long term business and taking action on it. I'm already creating accounts for Web2.0, top 60 article directories and top 100 bookmarking sites. The only problem is the niche. After this accounts I'll think of it if I'll get a Christmas Niche or a long term niche...

Just be positive. Filipinos are known to be very positive despite any difficulties. IM maybe a profitable way to earn online but it needs a lot of patience and hard work. Added to that, the Philippines is relatively new to this business model.

Finding a niche may also be difficult. You may find some profitable niches but it will be hard for you to climb up the rankings and be noticed. On the other hand, if you choose a relatively easy niche, sales will not be profitable.

As far as I know, outsourcing is the only scapegoat for some Filipino workers.

All I can say is, take the plunge! Be persistent. But never think of it so much. If you fail, you'll be hurt. Just think of it as a gamble. You win some. You lose some.

Kaya mo yan, pare! Pinoy ka! Alam mo kung ano ang kaya ng Pinoy.
(You can do it! You're a Filipino. You know what Filipinos are made of)

I can feel with your sense of desperation. I'm also a Filipino and I'm struggling to gain a foothold in IM. Too many unfortunate incidents happened that hindered my progress, such as when my computer was damaged and I had to make a loan to buy a new one. I have bought and downloaded lots of e-books and tutorial videos and still I have to finish reading and viewing all the information. Talk about information overload. LOL

I think that when you start becoming desperate on how much money you want to earn, it will be counterproductive to your IM efforts. An IM expert told me that we should not put a time frame on making money from our online business, because we won't know how much money we'll earn the next week or the next month. If we become desperate to earn money, we usually skip the learning part so that we can put our efforts to making money. This usually backfires because we need to spend a lot of time learning before we can master the various aspects of IM. So my advice to you, is to take things in stride and not rush things.

If you really need that $2,000 for your wife's safe delivery, you should look for other alternatives such as freelancing. You can join Odesk or Elance and start applying for jobs that fit your skills. It's very difficult to earn that big amount of money in just one or two months, especially if you're a beginner. After that, you can resume your IM activities. The important thing is not to rush things.

Also, I think Blogger.com is a terrible way to make a website. They'll ban your site without any warning and all your hard work towards making the site will go to waste. I suggest you get a reputable web hosting and create your own websites with domains.

Probably the safest and easiest way to make money since you are still learning is, firstly everyone who is desperate for money, stop buying products.

Think of what services you could realistically offer clients online, check out fiverr.com, elance.com

For instance you could write articles for people, pretty common choice, practice writing articles, get really good at it, build up some money and confidence.

Then move on to the more risky business of doing your own thing.

Stick to one thing, don't get killed by information overload, there will always be "new" products GAURANTEED to make you rich with no work.

Anything good takes hard work, especially in the beginning.

So go right now to those sites, look at the services people are offering, try decide what you can realistically offer people and go do it.

People who are already successful online usually need to outsource A LOT of work, you can be that person.

Yeah I'm not skipping the learning curve at the moment. What I am doing is i am learning while getting my very first website up... This is great and this is the first time I've been coached. He also told me that he will not stop mentoring me everyday until I made my Target money..... Hope this goes great.... So I'm learning while earning and also not in a rush..... Too many unfortunate incidents happened that hindered my progress, such as when my computer was damaged and I had to make a loan to buy a new one. I have bought and downloaded lots of e-books and tutorial videos and still I have to finish reading and viewing all the information. Talk about information overload. LOL

I think that when you start becoming desperate on how much money you want to earn, it will be counterproductive to your IM efforts. An IM expert told me that we should not put a time frame on making money from our online business, because we won't know how much money we'll earn the next week or the next month. If we become desperate to earn money, we usually skip the learning part so that we can put our efforts to making money. This usually backfires because we need to spend a lot of time learning before we can master the various aspects of IM. So my advice to you, is to take things in stride and not rush things.

If you really need that $2,000 for your wife's safe delivery, you should look for other alternatives such as freelancing. You can join Odesk or Elance and start applying for jobs that fit your skills. It's very difficult to earn that big amount of money in just one or two months, especially if you're a beginner. After that, you can resume your IM activities. The important thing is not to rush things.

Also, I think Blogger.com is a terrible way to make a website. They'll ban your site without any warning and all your hard work towards making the site will go to waste. I suggest you get a reputable web hosting and create your own websites with domains.

That reminds me If you need a free place to make a website that is very functional webs dot com . Ive found them to be very easy to design and use. You can have your own website name but it just has .webs.com on the end is the only difference. It has an easy set up to be commerce ready, though they limit the amount of products you can post for free.

I have great empathy for your situation, especially in the "find your niche" dilemma you've expressed. However, I find that I'm a little confused by the conversation.

If I understand correctly, you said you could make $50 a day writing articles, but that you quit doing that because you could make 10 websites in that amount of time, and you didn't like working for someone else. You also said that you weren't making any real money with all those websites you were building.

So from my perspective it seems you've got a viable business opportunity that you're not using.

If you can earn $50/day writing articles, even if you only get 3 days each week, that's $600 a month real cash. I think that's a far better return on your time than building web pages that don't get traffic or which don't convert to sales.

You could also write and offer your work as Private Label Rights, since you probably already know enough to set up a storefront, and since there appears to be many Warriors who regularly purchase content from other Warriors.

Once you write something and put it up as PLR, you just keep growing your store's inventory, AND if you put an input box on your store front, to let people tell you what they want, you are also growing a list of potential clients. I have seen multiple threads in this forum that give ideas for niche topics that need new PLR. You could find them using the search function, I suspect, if interested.

That said, I hope this reads as helpful and not critical - for I certainly do not wish to sound judgmental. I know it's hard to convey exact feelings via the written word, lacking the non-verbal communication that we'd have were we chatting face to face.

Congratulations on the baby, and I wish you monetary success.

Well, if you would had setup your sig. with an affiliate, you would had someone clicking it and make money, get on many forums and promote your affiliate business.. Great way to build your business. At the same time with the niches you are doing, add another links in your sig. that go to your landing page with Optin form with a free offer, it can be ebook, free report, etc. Building the List is the Key! Followup with the people on the lists with offer (which is within your niches) and you will become successful.
