Geez. I nearly gave up on this whole IM thing.

I wanted to share an experience with fellow Warriors that happened to me this morning. I woke up and washed my face and turned on my computer. Nothing much new and different there. Fired up my emails as I normally do. And low and behold I have an email staring at me saying ' ... has deposited $90US in your Paypal account.'

Now, I guess like a lot of fellow Warriors my IM journey has been rather long, sometimes winding, sometimes downright frustrating. Along the way I have learnt heaps of really great stuff. I now know a lot about web design and accessibility, SEO, blogging etc etc

But the last few months have been a real struggle for motivation. To the point where I had kinda given up. Interest levels have been very low!!

I guess the great thing is that even when you give up, your websites keep working. And I guess that's what happened to me. One of my websites has finally started to sell some affiliate products on a regular basis. Hence the commission that landed in my Paypal account this morning.

Now, its not enough to give up my day job for (I wish!!). But I guess it is some kind of justification that this will work. And I guess it will keep working even if I choose to stop - cause that's what happened in my case.

And I hope in sharing this it might just help give a fellow Warrior a little kick along or that bit of motivation to keep going and not quit. Sometimes it just takes a little time.

Bit like baking a cake I guess. You might have the right ingredients and you have mixed them together. But you gotta give it time to cook.

Needless to say I am feeling more inspired. Just so happened to coincide with my two weeks holidays from my real job. Sounds like two weeks working on my IM stuff!! I guess they say that a change is as good as a holiday.

Keep going. Don't stop. Even if you think its all too hard and its never going to work!!

I know $90US doesn't make me an IM guru. But maybe I've sold more stuff than some of the guys out there selling IM products about how to make money in IM!!

So, I hope my story inspires someone just a little bit to not quit. Maybe you need to take a break and give your cake a little bit of time to bake, but you've come too far to throw out the whole cake mixture.

    I think a little success like that really is what helps you to move a long

    I always keep in mind the fact that you have to be incredibly patient and that helped me through the times when nothing seems to work

    I think we've all been there andwill eventually make it
    I'm so confident that eventually everybody is can make money ifrom IM
    people are just too smart and there are so many ways to make money it if you stick with it will make it

    just remember to stay humble because is not beating other people that means anything

    Congratulations! I know exactly how you feel about the seemingly long struggle and the ups and downs of motivation. And, I just got my first Clickbank sales two days ago. So, I'm with you, I'm not giving up - just scaling up.

      I am motivated by your experience. It takes some time to get things moving and actually record some profit. I'm in the building stage and I know how it feels to just think this will never ever work. I'm motivated to keep at it.

    You know during the past year; I have been discouraged several times myself. I have written plenty of what I call good articles. I try write them from scratch and my mortgage blogs and articles are first handed information but that doesn't make Google....like them any better. Soooo it is hard sometimes to keep going when nothing seems to work. I watch my adsense also daily and sometimes I want to scream but that would help nothing. I just take a deep breath, fix my mind on the fact that anything in life that is called making money, takes a lot of work; no one can do it for you, though they may encourage you. Struggle is part of life but determination is what makes this work in the face of discouragement. Good articles, thanks for sharing.

      Congrats Steve! There is nothing like the rush when money is coming in when you don't expect it! That is definitely what makes IM so extremely cool! Now do more of what was successful and scale, scale and scale some more!

    Great Job! Been there on there on the is this thing really working or am I just spinning my wheels. I just told myself I am just planting seeds that will one day bear fruit. Keep going, keep learning and one day you'll find yourself on top. Awesome inspiration and great story, thanks for sharing.

    Congratulations. Now that you've proven to yourself that you can actually make money with IM, try to keep up the momentum by building more sites and consistently doing the activities that were directly responsible for making you that $90!

    Now is not the time for rest. Use that surge of motivation you feel to redouble your efforts and keep doing what you KNOW you need to do consistently!
