Very inspirational poem INVICTUS

This one of my favourite poems, written by a man who faced a lot of sh*t in his life but NEVER STOPPED HIM!
The line "the master of my fate... the captain of my soul" is one of the things that motivates me both personally and for my clients in my regular day job as a hypnotherapist.
When you look at the problems Henley faced in his life, then you can begin to see where this poem comes from.He wrote this poem from a hospital bed.It was shown to me many years ago by a teacher of mine, I cant remember who exactly. It really says that you control your own life, no matter what may come, you are steering the ship and its up to you to navigate to the best destination you can. INVICTUS (unconquered)
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
