A few years ago, a 12 years old boy named Michael who lived in Houstan want to find his own pocket money. He chose to be a paper boy. With him now was a list names of people not yet subscribe the newspaper yet.

They lived everywhere in that town. What Michael have to do was to make sure the people in the list name get subscribed to his newspaper.

He got a few people to subscribe to the newspaper, but not so many. As time going on, he found a patern. There was two groups of people who will subscribe to the newspaper :

1. People who just moved
2. New married couples

Both groups above just changed their live that making them will buy everything. After realised that patern, he was thinking how to get to know this names. He asked people and got the answer : The Mayor

Then, Micael hired another boy to help him to go to Mayor office everyday, to get the names of people moving in and getting married. Michael focused all of his energy to sell the newspaper to this names.

His namelist getting small but the sale rose up multiples time. He made more money than his friend at his age.

After holiday season, Michael got commision more than his teachers.

Today, Michael is a Billionaire. He getting rich because he learn something when he started he entreprenuership. Targetter list !

You may heard about this Michael. His full name is Michael Dell, the leading PC company in the world.

Things to learn :
1. Never sell everyhting to everyone. Focus to people who wants your product

2. Dell is a huge company today. Though, they got offices to manage the sales. Each office has its own target market.

Yeah, they were born in the right place, at the right time, by the right parents and in the right environment. All in luck.

But gifts and talents render no use if they aren't transformed into skill.

Luck is also good-for-nothing if it isn't made use of properly.

Agreed with Daryl. Yeah, you may say everything is 'just right' for that 'thing' to happen. But, instead of rely 100% on luck, do what you believe, and when you fail, wake up and start everything again. About the luck, as Daryl once said to me while skyping , it'll follow you.

We can't be Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Richard Branson, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi, Barack Obama or whoever else, but we can be ourselves and be better than them.

Have you ever wondered why they can make it while you can't? I have, and to solve that intriguing mystery, I'm set to be better than them. Bill Gates is worth $53.2 billion now? Carlos Slim Helu $53.4b? Let me be worth $53.5b, or $54b, or even $100 billion.

Give me a reason why I can't, and ask yourself if its valid.

Upon hearing this success story, I am more inspired to work. I agree, there are just specific things designed for specific purposes.... So I say, the best way to sell your product is to market to people who needs it and make use of it for their benefit.

Good story here, could relate to IM because your not trying to sell to everyone just those interested in what you have to offer.
