Making Thanks Giving a Way of Life

On April 14th, 1902, J.C. Penney opened his first store, in Kemmerer, Wyoming.

His life credo was, "You can't outgive God."

He proved it by building a multimillion-dollar commercial empire while always giving away 90% of his personal income to Christian evangelistic and charitable work.

I have actually heard this story many times in my life.

I have never been in a position to Give at the level that Penney did, but I have always been a generous person, giving when I had the time, money or knowledge to give.

I work hard to teach my kids to be generous as well.

At every opportunity I have to show my children the soul of a generous heart -- I do, and I try to get the kids to understand what that truly means.

On the Warrior Forum, I have been given the option of a Thanks button. I try to extend a generosity to those in the forum who I believe deserve to be thanked.

While I cannot always afford to hire someone from the forum or buy what they are selling, I can always reach over and hit the Thanks button.

And I do frequently.

Did you know that you can only Thank 25 people per day on the Warrior Forum?

I know because I often have no more Thanks to give at the end of a day. On days like today, I give Thanks until I can give no more.

If someone posts something on the forum that you appreciate, thank them for taking the time to share with you.

You will see some black buttons at the bottom of each post. On posts that are not yours, the forum offers: Quote, Multiquote, Quick Reply, and when you have it available, Thanks.

Use it to give Thanks to those Warriors you appreciate.

Don't we get more than 25 Thanks to give out today (Thanksgiving Day)?

Most of us have so many 'roll-over' thanks to give I'm guessing that's not likely...

He shovel out the money and God shovel it back to him but God has a bigger shovel. This person I am sure will be blessed more by God.

Giving is great, but to a certain point. You give someone too much for too long and they will no longer do for themselves. Giving to help, to teach and get someone started it the key, beyond that I believe you hurt the person.

    Give freely, receive generously.

Being stingy with your talents is damaging to you. Not only will you suffer in the finances department, you will slowly break down inside.

Whenever you are unhappy or feel lacking in any area, give. Give without strings attached. Watch how quickly things level out.

And when you do begin to make your fortune continue to give freely. Just make it a habit.

I sure think you are right......I have learn many from warriors up to now and the information have been very much useful. So even if I hit the thanks button or not I am very thankful to them, including you.

But I too think it's very sincere to at least hit the thanks button since I am not that rich to buy the products.
