One Tip that Really Helped Me

Keeping an achievement journal has really helped me. When I start to feel down or discouraged, I find that paper and read it. We often downplay our successes and focus on our "failures." Keeping a record of the accomplishments I've had keeps me focused on what good I can do and HAVE done.

Yes, that is a good idea Kristie. I do like & need to keep a journal but haven't thought to highlight my successes!

We forget and keep striving for more. Good to stop and appreciate how far we have come, and what good we have done along the way.

That is a great idea. Journaling your achievements is a fantastic way to boost your confidence. If you ever get down, just go back to your list and it may make you feel a lot better.

Nice idea, thanks for sharing this. I might start writing down my accomplishments too, hope it'll also work for me as it worked for you KRISTIEDEAN. Also, I read in a newspaper before an article featuring a different kind of journal. Instead of writing down your thoughts and feelings, you can just paste pictures, draw objects, paint in the pages, etc. So with this accomplishment journal, maybe you can also paste pictures or memorabilias of your achievements.

wow! what a great idea! it is so easy to dwell on our setbacks and forget about our successes. I think creating a "blessing" journal is also a good idea. Write down all of your fortunes and read it when you start to feel you are going without...
    thanks for the post!

I have even been journaling what I have done in my quest to become an Internet Marketer! Sometimes I think, will this ever happen, but the Warrior Forum always gives me a lift. So much help and info here!

I also like to journal what I am thankful for, especially when I am feeling discouraged.

I am DYING to get an "official" one already! lol. I want a really beautiful one with a ribbon & all that jazz...but still have not found what I'm looking for.

But I know it works, because I write on a notepad all the things I've successfully achieved for the day, and it helps me believe that I'm a HUGE success!

It would be much nicer to have an actual physical journal (I call it a success journal), I can look back at all the other stuff... And I enjoy writing with my hand a little more - I just don't have paper to spare like that right now. lol.

This is a GREAT idea! I am going to try doing it. Sometimes I feel so overwhelmed by everything that needs to be done and I wonder if I will ever reach the level of success online that I am shooting for. Its easy to downplay the amount of success I have achieved so far. Sure, I made a lot of mistakes, but even so, I have learned a lot, which by itself is a major achievement.

I think making an achievement journal would be a great boost to my motivation on days when I feel too overwhelmed to log on. Seeing how far I have come so far and all the baby successes along the way will be a good reminder that I am on the right track and should stick to the course.

My daughter does that, and she's only 10. She's a bit of a pessimist, so having a journal which lists all the good/successful things she's done can really give her a lift.

I used to keep a journal to remind me not to procrastinate and stay on focus. Yet, there are times that I forget to read the journal itself. What I did was to make a journal not on a hard bound notebook or whatever but I kept all my goals in a sticky note and sticked on my desktop computer.
