Nothing goes right for me!

Nothing goes right for me.
I spent $100 dollars of my money to try and get a membership site up. I bought hosting from ipage, 2 domain names, and a plugin from wp-member.

The wp-member plugin was crap, so that was $55 dollars down the drain.
Cost me a week talking to their tech support.
Then I find a good free membership plugin.
The next day, my website is host to a bunch of weird errors. I reinstalled wordpress, and even tried to switch my theme. Didn't work!
The tech support at Wp-member told me that my hosting company has problems which was why their plugin didnt work correctly. But I talked to ipage tech support and they said there was nothing wrong with there servers.
Nobody is answering my posts on the WP support forums, and nobody here knows what it is. Someone sent me a PM telling me they would help me fix it for $25 bucks!
I put as much money as I can afford at this time into trying to make some money, and i get crap in return.

This happens to me a lot, not always but a lot. Especially with the big things. Whenever I try to start something big, it flops. Not from my lack of knowledge, or anything like that but from weird problems that can't be fixed unless i throw money i don't have at it.
I think now I am going to try to get a quick landing page up for my other domain name, and sell a report or a product of some sort.
Oh, and if you plan to use Ipage, make sure the money you use you don't need to get back. Their refund policy screws you over. On the plus side if you go through the signup process but stop before paying, they will send you a $1 a month for 3 months thing (despite what the email says its good for more than 24 hours)

Well, thanks for reading my rant. Hope you are doing better than I am.

Believe me I have had my list of problems in this business plus my business before. I had a partner take me for nearly 20K. When things started I was a partner... when I said no more and walked away the business LLC had been renewed in one of her family members names.

I have had people tell me they would setup a site and train me how to use a plugin... 3 moths later and several email and talks via skype they just vanish.

I have had people tell me they would walk me through how to setup a specific type of site. Got about 60% of the way done and then poof, gone.

Since then there have been others like that. Some with hollow promises, others that don't even finish project A, B and C and they are onto D before I know what is going on.

You just have to keep getting up and moving forward with whatever you have at your disposal. Weird technical problems happen all the time. Unless you have access to unlimited cash supply you are going to hit walls like that. What most people don't realize is that they more then likely have a way to keep things going or already have the knowledge and the tools they need to succeed, but fail to see it because it's already so close to them.

What you need to do is sit down and focus on what you already have and how you can best work with it to start getting things rolling like they should.

heh, yea. I have been using computers all my life, and when a problem arises a quick trip to google, or to some forums usually got me on the right track to fixing it. I have been able to get most everything on a shoestring, or what i had to pay for I made sure that it would solve my problem. Then I get into IM, and everything is pay to play, and I can't mess or even see the more technical specs on the hosting servers.

I'm pretty sure no matter how successful you become there will always be some sort of problem. ONce you get one problem fixed another will arise. it's life. Also, something I have learned after dealing with people is this... The majority of people are dumb, haha. Kind of harsh, but it's true. A lot of them can't use common sense.

Even the best of us make mistakes but the most important thing is to not let it get you down and pick yourself back up again.... Many battles are lost in life but those lost battles is how you can learn to win the war.

I used socialgo to build a nice membership site and it is working out very well. It's really easy to use and you can start out with a free account too. I don't want to spam the forum but you can check out one of the sites I built with it in my signature. Hope it helps!

I hear complaining due to failures...

Sit down and meditate. Start all over again and go one by one.

    - Cancel your Ipage hosting and go for hostgator
    - Or reinstall wordpress the right way... using fantasico or your own upload.
    - don't use quickinstall.

It is time to begin peaceful and live peaceful than live hectic.

All of this comes as a result of trying to do things fast.

got no money to switch yet. So I am going to setup a couple landing pages, create some link wheels, a couple products and see If I can make enough money to start over on a different hosting site.
but I finally convinced a tech support guy that its their servers, so he escalated it and hopefully it will be fixed enough so I can make some money.

Oh.. don't think that everyything's a mess. The more you think that nothing goes riht for you, the more it'll happen. Be positive. Don't entertain such negative thoughts. It is just a phase. Remember: No matter how dark the cloud is, there's always a rainbow after it. Your rainbow is yet to come and it will come.
Maybe you just need to sit back, breath and focus. Do not rush things. Relax and always think positive.

    Hey buddy,

I don't know you & you don't know me, but I was just like you about 2 years ago... I know EXACTLY how you feel... It's freaking crazy! lol.

I STRONGLY believe in the law of attraction, especially now... I STRONGLY believe, actually I might as well say it, I KNOW you (& everyone else who can relate to you) are experiencing your "problems" because it's embedded in your sub-conscious mind!

Your mind is controlling it all... Believe it or not, you've been programmed to go through these things... As crazy as it may sound, EVERYTHING & I literally mean E-V-E-R-Y-THING!!!...in your life is a result of what your sub-conscious mind is creating.

There's something deep down inside you that is "keeping you safe" from ever getting what you consciously want (which in this case is having a successful online business)...

It could be a fear of money, success, fame, fortune, "responsibility", embarrassment, humiliation... ALL kinds of things can be stopping you.

    Remember this:

"How you do ANYTHING, is how you do EVERYTHING."

I'm no psychic tarot card reader, but I am pretty sure that you are having similar struggles in your everyday life (offline)... That's because it's all in your sub-conscious mind - it's working day & night behind the scenes to keep you on the "right track" (as far as it knows), so it does everything in its power to make sure that you do what it believes to be "safe" for you.

Pay attention to the things that happen to you in your everyday life and compare it to what happens to your business... Start to realize that the reason why you're always "struggling" in your life, is not because of some coincidence (lol sorry I just laugh every time I hear that word), or outer influence... It's because your mind is doing that for you to keep you away from "harm".

So, I know I repeated myself a few times here... Just wanna do my best to get the point across... Think of "why" your mind might be stopping you from this... What is it? Is is fear? What's so "dangerous" about "getting things your way" that your sub-conscious mind bends rules to make sure you stay away from it?

I'm serious about this buddy... I wrote this whole reply because I see myself 2 years ago, and I wanna help you! Every time someone told me that there was something wrong with my mind, I was curious but didn't really dig deep into it... But I am GLAD I did, because I now really understand myself and I re-programed my mind for success & that totally transformed everything that happens in my life.

Things finally go my way! And life is freaking AWESOME!!!

I wish you the BEST of success buddy! If there is ANYTHING I can help you with, please don't ever hesitate to ask! I'm really here for you! Connect with me on Facebook and we can talk money... I'm serious.

    Rock out loud!

It's OK to rant sometimes provided you move immediately into a high energy state.

Just remember that whatever you decide - and it is a personal decision - to give your attention and energy to, expands.

If you want more problems, focus on them. If you want more success, money, etc, focus on these things. Complain, purge yourself and move on.

Release the negative energy and move right into goal achieving activities. Let go and grow!

First, please stop thinking "nothing goes right for me."

Consider how much learning you've really done before putting money into the next project. Membership sites and the like can be really successful, but how is your marketing? Remember that a mediocre product with great marketing will unfortunately always outsell a great product with mediocre marketing.

I have to agree with Stephanie -- thinking that NOTHING goes right for you will only keep you mired in that space where the dark little cloud always follows you, stopping right over your head and only your head to dump a bunch of rain.

In fact, it's a useful exercise to try to reframe EVERYthing in terms of what's good about it or what good can come of it. Edison did exactly that when it was pointed out that he'd tried and failed to invent the electric light bulb 997 (or however many) times. He responded: But now I know 997 ways that it won't work.

So look at it this way -- if the resources you've chosen are inappropriate for you for some reason (e.g., unreliable), isn't it better to know earlier than later? Just BE GRATEFUL for the feedback from the Universe, then back up and try a different method or path or idea or resource or vendor or ...!

      Best of luck to you.

      Patricia

P.S. And yes, sometimes a good rant on the way to getting there is not only allowed, it's required.

The line where you say This happens to me a lot is something you should change saying to yourself. See what you say to yourself everytime something goes wrong is what your subconscious begins to believe so when you go to try something new your subconscious follows this logic:

When I try something new I fail
    This is something new
    I will fail at this
Don't do this, or stop doing this now before I fail

This is said at a subconscious level and will really impact you in a negative way. Try looking at it like this. I just learned something that didn't work, I now know a way NOT to do this, what can I try next.

Thomas Edison try 10,000 different ways before he finally got the electric light-bulb to work. So you didn't fail, you just learned a way not to try next time

    Bless you Theory5, you're a proper tonic

According to the Law of Attraction you have just spoken your destiny into being by proudly announcing to the world that nothing goes right for you and now you are going to look forward to a whole lot more of the same.

Stand on your head for half an hour and turn your world upside down. Does it look any better? We all face the same problems in life - the one and only difference between us is a small thing that makes all the difference - yes, attitude.

I think you need to relax and focus on the bright side of life so that your mind doesn't get wired in your negative thoughts. Thinking happy thoughts just might make you happy. change your outlook in general and don't get easily freaked out by the bad and the ugly. I think you also need to decompress. Is there something gnawing at you? Speak it out. Talking about it will do you good. Also, focus on a goal. Set a goal for yourself that you can focus all your energies on -- you will hae no time for negative thoughts then. ANd oh! Take a break. Be on the look out for too much multi tasking. Juggling several task can leave you stressed and unanle to move forward.

    Theory5,

Ok, so nothing goes right for you? You had your rant? Did it solve the problem? Probably not.

We have all spent money, lost money, lost time, lost opportunities. Get up and keep moving forward.

Not wanting to sound to harsh, well sort of, it happens.

If you dont want to face adversity, then you might want to just keep working for someone else. IT will be easier.

The statistics for people owning their own business often means that the entreprenuer will often work 10 times harder then an average worker. Especially in the beginning.

In truth though, you are responsible for your own actions.

Successful people will tell you that there will actually be more hurdles to over come the greater their level of success. This is true. How many homeless people have to worry about thier businesses, their employees, how to pay big mortgages, what new products to come up with, etc..

Adversity exists in everything we do and is even greater in everything WORTH doing. The difference between being successful and homless is in how those adversities are dealt with.
