not a clever,
but people who look good.

That's why
people who are good at
must learn to look smart.

Many people
who are academically clever,
refused to learn to perform well,
because he thinks
academic intelligence
is everything
and people will automatically know
that he is clever.

Apparently not so.

Intellect
which does not seem clever,
will not be used.

      I somewhat agree. Those that refuse to go beyond the books are the ones that have problems. Not everything can be taught in books. How to interact with people can be explained, but without actually doing it you won't be any good at doing it.

      You need the book learning, or class room education, but you really NEED the real life interaction.

    I agree...

    In the case of being a successful business person you have to have many skills..most of people who are academically experts lack of these.

    But even business people have to be knowledgeable in their field..it must not be a repeating one,it has to be practical.

    Book smart people can learn anything that they read in a book, but they can't necessarily apply what they know. Some of the most intelligent people I have ever met have absolutely no common sense or people skills. I'm striving for a better balance of book smarts and street smarts myself. Always reaching up!

    The difference between street smarts and book smarts.

    Book smart people might know a great deal but until they apply the knowledge it won't do them much good.

    Street smart people acquire the minimal amount of knowledge and apply it immediately. No hesitation, they simply fail their way to success.

      What I find aggravating about some book smart people is they spend so much time telling you why it won't work instead of finding out a way to make it work.

        Yes, book smart people can be afraid of failure. This manifests as skepticism, criticism and a general lack of ambition that repels those with street smarts.

        They are proud skeptics, not realizing their skepticism is a prison of their own making. They sit on the sidelines, armchair quarterbacking it.

        Meanwhile the street smart person goes on to do what the skeptic said couldn't be done.

    Not all intellectual wins. School bred people tend to be foolish in real life. Street smart can sometimes win the game. In real life, what we need is practical knowledge of the ins and outs of life. If you know how to play and gamble, then you'll definitely be in the road to success.
