I could use a pep-talk...

Hey there ladies and gents,

My name is Adam... aaaand I joined the forum not too long ago but haven't really put my energies fully into IM as I was previously trying to make the best of a new sales job I have.

I've got good, to be fair But it's soul destroying to be honest with you... thus I want to get myself up and running with an online business to get the freedom I've always craved (I've left around 6 jobs in as many years as I get bored very easily with the forced routine that's laid upon me)...

Now, I recently signed up for the WSO, a coaching program... paid the initial fee (although by moneygram, but I felt confident it'd turn out ok...) and got some interesting stuff from him... everything seemed cool and exciting and legitimate, but as you may be aware... he appears to have disappeared.

And the awesome domain name I had ready to buy has gone too :p

So what I'm saying now... I know that I want to give a good go to IM, I believe that I will do exceptionally well with time... it was just taking that first initial jump. Always easier when someone's there to provide a safety net.

Now, I can see the bright side, and I can take bumps and scrapes and plough on unhindered... but this one kind of stings.

I've done some research, joined the war room, am reading some incredible articles... and I'm gradually picking up, I think, the things that the internet marketer was moving toward.

So now I'm asking for advice... is it best to give up hope that he is just away through no fault of his own (which to be honest is looking less likely)... ?

Or trust that he will return and fulfill his promises, since he has already given some quite exceptional advice and resources that would have taken me a lot longer to acquire for myself?

I plan to go ahead no matter what, but it is truly disappointing to have your trust taken advantage of (basically... I feel like a bit of a dick right now )

Any words of advice or encouragement would really help right now guys... thanks in advance and all the very best.

Adam

Actually you know what... I really don't want to turn this into a negative thread, no use for that...

I feel pretty good about things right now... done some thinking and I think I have a new direction :-D

Still, any comments or advice are totally welcome :-)

The thing is, in IM. you just freakin' do it when you learn something new. Remember, only you the one can help yourself, not others.

You're absolutely right... just because I said it's easier having someone take your hand so to speak, doesn't mean I can't stand on my own two feet.

Taking action is the only thing that matters, it seems, and for the most part, the one thing that's missing :-)

I'd lay out a plan, something simple at first and follow it through. Don't worry about what's next, yet. Just plan and execute it.

When finished, crate the next plan and also a long range plan. Decide where it is you want to go and find others that are doing it. See how they are doing it and copy their plan (not their products) and make it yours. Change what needs to be changed and complete each step at a specific time.

Also if you don’t what this thread to disappear you may want to replace the person’s name with something like internet marketer…

I like this... same line as goal setting I suppose, which I know is a very powerful tool.

Almost like building my own blueprint...

Also, advice taken, name changed... and for the record, I don't try to flame the person, as it's yet to be proven that they have indeed let us down... just going for specifics just in case some relevant information cropped up :-)

Didn't think you meant to flame, but just put it out there for you to consider...

I appreciate it, fully :-) In retrospect, all things considered, not really good form in my opinion... blame it on my inexperience of Warrior-dom :-P

Trust me, I've felt like posting some people's name all over after being ripped off. But then I calm down and realize that doing so wouldn't be in my best interest. So I usually wait a day, or week ) before I post anything and then it's general. If someone wants specifics I'll respond by PM

Having run into some less than savory folks I will say this:

Working online is the blessing of blessings when it comes to the respond/react department.

We are not dealing with folks in the offline world where it's so much easier to flip out instantaneously or slander someone. I've saved myself so many problems down the road by choosing to be non-resistant, taking a few deep breaths and simply letting go the person and situation.

Easy to do? In the beginning, hell no! Eventually it becomes easier to own these feelings and realize that someone else's dishonesty has EVERYTHING to do with them and NOTHING to do with you. Read that statement a few times. Let it sink in. Eventually you see the truth in it, but you must meditate on the fact to change your perception.

As I can see from you Cool Cucumbers, you've resisted the urge to fight back or fight in general. Well Done

This is a tough pill to swallow but when I took my mental medication my life became so much easier: Take 100% responsibility for everything that happens in your life. If it happened, you attracted it. The scammer was placed in your way to teach you a lesson. Maybe it was to do more due diligence but in most cases it's simply a lesson in tolerance, in realizing that as you go off on your own and try to start a business you face resistance that those living in their comfort zone never have to face.

You face more "stuff" because you push the limits of your comfort zone.

Simply face the feelings, own them, and move forward. I carried emotional garbage for a while that greatly hurt my online ventures but when I learned to let go these feelings by owning them and the situations I attracted my Magic Magnet strengthened once again.

    Have a powerful day guys!

Have to agree with you there. When I first started I would get wrapped up in Flamming, only to realize that I wasn't helping myself at all. It took a few months to build up that "thick skin" you need in the online world.

Both the attraction and frustration with IM is that it so free form. There are no rigid road maps or formulas to success despite what the gurus may say. And depending on your personality and experience that may or not be a good thing! Rather than turning outward for help look inward and address what it is you are trying to accomplish, create a plan and execute. If you can't find an answer you may be fooling yourself.

Just get started. Yes, the classic "don't procrastinate advice." You won't do everything perfectly ever, especially at first. But if you sit around waiting to "get ready" you will never get there.

    Good luck!

    Hey Toniy

Welcome to Warrior forum. My story is similar to you.

Me also burnt many times. Even here in this forum many things I bought which simply did not worked for me.

So I kept searching, reading and testing, test & test.

At last I could overcome the first hurdle. Earn some little. Then found some one's adv if you can make a peny, scale it to bigger.

Now I am fully monetizing one target doing scale it and make it handsome. And sure about this great forum helps people so many ways.

Even from which products I bought from here and did not worked, some appearing new possibility way with little twist after my 1st success.

So I would adv don't fix yourself with something permanently. Find out your way until which suits you and then scale it.

Also don't forget there are plenty freebies + good advice here from some great warriors. And there are many ways, who are doing great. If something does not work for you check to next. If more than 2/3 months no change of any good result then you have to find start on new angle/different area. You will find here numerous ways.

    Good luck people.
