The Dreaded Long Term Perspective

The truth really is, success comes from an obsessive continuous work ethic and consistently cranking out action.

I've been working on a couple specific outcomes for more than a year and still haven't reached the ultimate outcome, but what allows me to feel great about it is the knowing that having a long term perspective is one of the main elements of success.

Initially, this is what stops a lot of people from achieving. The "quick fix society" we live in conditions us to look for the rapid result. Guess what? There isn't one!

Nah, I shouldn't say that, I've seen some pretty crazy instant results in my life, but having made success a study, applied the elements into my life, learned psychology and brain science (to sculpt my mind) and continued to fire away daily, knowing it may take you a year is a great thing.

The trick really is to GET EXCITED ABOUT IT! If you can control your state (your mental, physical and psychological condition at any given moment), you'll always feel good about engaging. Once we start to see the power of progress, and how much happiness comes when we make a bit of an advancement, it's a wrap! We get Hooked!

Once you can do that consistently, it's a great fuel for you to engage everyday to make outcomes happen. Thanks for reading!

Super inspiration Ryan, thanks for sharing

Develop a passion for what you do folks, like Ryan has. When excited about something time seems to stop. You won't dwell as much on the "Am I there yet?" type of thoughts that cripple many, because you will already be "there." You will be happy, whole and in a state of bliss for you're following your passion.

    Happy New Year!

Wow, that's such a great way of looking at it! I think that'll really be helpful for me to think that way!

Some great points as always Ryan! What I try to do is create small goals along the way to the larger, more powerful, goal that I can achieve to help me feel like I’m accomplishing something. That sense of accomplishment is worth a lot, especially when the goal you’re after is 1, 2, or more years away.

When I started in this IM business arena I believed what the "gurus" at the time said about how you can get your business going and making tons of money right away. It did not take long to find out what a sham that was. I stick with it because I need to "fire" my boss and having something of my own. I know that putting my time in will create a sustainable business and therefore a great life for myself.

Yes it does take time to produce a long term productive and prosperous online business. You could make a quick buck here and there but if it's not quality stuff your customers won't be repeat customers.
