"This bright new year is given me. To live each day with zest. To daily grow and try to be my highest and my best."¾ William Arthur Ward

So it's that time of year again.

Hopefully you accomplished what's important to you last year. But if you haven't, don't worry- because I'm going to show you how to achieve virtually anything you want.

There is a catch: If you're serious about accomplishing your goals, you're going to have to invest an hour or so of your time, and complete the exercise I'm going to show you ... (If you do that, this may change your life.)

1. "Why Don't You Want To Be Successful?"

If you think "something" could be holding you back (like you're running up hill or going against the grain) ... It could be because of your unconscious programming. When I completed this part of the exercise, it was extremely enlightening. Here's what I came up with:

"Something bad will happen."
"I'm not ready."
"I'll change."
"I don't know what will happen."
"I'll be different."
An "amazing" thing happens when you sit down and brainstorm what could be holding you back. (It's like opening a door to your unconscious and "seeing" what's happening ...) Instead of just feeling stuck. In my case I realized I was shackled by fear of changing / fear of the unknown.

Try this exercise now: Write down why you haven't been "succeeding." Because then you'll be ready to understand ...

2. "What Will Happen If You Are Successful ..."

See, although it's important to understand what's holding you back, it's equally important not to dwell on it: Focus on "success" and what you do want to happen. So next, I want you to brainstorm what would happen if you were successful- what success means to you.

Here's what I wrote:

"I'll be happier, more confident, and have more self-esteem."
"I don't have to worry about money and will have every thing I want in life."
"I'll be able to help my family."
"I'll be a 'financial success'."
"I'll 'liberate' 1000's of people, improve the quality of their lives, and contribute to society."
When brainstorming, remember to use a pen and paper, because that has more of an affect on a "neural" level. (This is the same process Cognitive Behavioural Therapists use to transform people's "limiting beliefs.")

"Of one thing we can be sure. The quality of our life in the future will be determined by the quality of our thinking."¾ William Arthur Ward

3. "Now It's Time To Reboot Your Brain ..."

This is a "Mind Exercise" from John Reese and I think you're really going to enjoy it. I completed mine a few hours ago and I hope you're excited as I am ...

Because, you're going to "see" how fear is holding you back and what to do about it. You're going to "Reboot Your Brain" and delete all those "programs" (thoughts) which are taking up space. And, you're going to create a prioritized list of goals- ready to be accomplished in 2011.

This is a general "Mind Exercise" we're going to adapt specifically for the new year. Remember to put aside at least an hour. (And please don't skip this because it could very well change your life ...)

There a 3 main components we're going to focus on:

1. The "To-Do" Expedition
2. The "Desire" Adventure
3. The "Fear" Discovery

(The most liberating for me was "The 'Fear' Discovery ..." There's something amazing about being able to "see" everything you're afraid of and what to do about it ...)

Here's the link:
http://www.marketingsecrets.com/images/rebootmethod/rebootmethod.html

(OK ...)

So if you've been following along and completed the exercise (if you haven't then come back later), you'll have in your possession your "To-Do" Expedition, your "Desire" Adventure, your "Fear" Discovery and your Master "To-Do" List. All prioritized and bursting at the seems.

Let's get ready to make 2011 successful.

"The whole world steps aside for the man who knows where he is going. "
"¾ Anonymous

4. "Your 2-Month Master Plan ... "

Now, go through your lists and select your most "important" goals to be accomplished in a 2-month period. You can give yourself more or less time depending on how confident you are, however, the idea is not to overwhelm yourself with too much, yet still challenge yourself to accomplish more.

(Once you've accomplished your first 2 months you can always create another list.)

You are now a head of most people who fail to write down their goals. And, all you have to do to be in the top percentage of achievers is to create a plan and follow through with it. You have everything you need to make 2011 an amazing year.

5. "How To Accelerate Success... "

Technique #1. "Create a vision board"

When you visualize, you literally program your brain to succeed. See, it activates your subconscious mind to create solutions to problems ... And ideas, strategies, and plans for success. I've created a vision board on my computer with my 2-month goals and pictures of "success."

Technique #2. "Beliefs/Affirmations"

An affirmation is a reflection of your inner "reality". Having empowering beliefs makes succeeding much easier. You can use these beliefs/affirmations to eliminate any negative thinking and accelerate yourself to success. (Feel free to create your own to replace __________ belief(s))

"I can accomplish anything I set my mind to."
"I'm planning on being a millionaire."
"I understand that it's more important to work smart, not hard."
"I take 100% responsibility for my results."
"I'm not afraid of failure, because I'm always learning."
http://www.warriorforum.com/blogs/jonathan-2-0/9117-empowering-beliefs-entrepreneurial-success.html
(OK ...)

I hope that you've learned something from this article and that it will enable you to experience new levels of success. That's why I created it for you. :-) I've given you the information you need to start 2011 successfully ...

Have fun. Life's a wonderful "game" (sometimes). And it's amazing just to be here part of it.

Peace and Prosperity.

You're welcome Scortillion (and everyone else). :-) I've included a PDF in case any of you want to save the article/information to your computer. (It's also easier to read that way.)

    Forget planning my friend...

What will happen if you don't achieve your "goals"? Back to depression land...

Let go of plans, focus on emitting the energy of appreciation, do what
you're naturally inclined to do and things will naturally fall into place, believe me.

Thank you for the feedback, Gentlemen.

Chris raised a good point about people not achieving their goals and then being depressed about it. That's something that would have happened to me in the past. However, I'm more “confident” than I used to be.

As far as I'm concerned, if you only accomplish 3 goals this month, you're successful at taking action and accomplishing those goals¾and you can't lose because you didn't have them in the first place.

So far I've accomplished everything on my list. (Using my “2-Month Master Plan,” I created a "1-Week Plan" to build confidence/momentum.)

It's absolutely amazing having everything that you want to accomplish¾ and everything that you're afraid of¾all written down and ready to be accomplished. (If you're not taking advantage of this information, then you're missing out.)

If you haven’t got off to a flying start, here’s what to do to make 2011 more successful. (Remember, it’s never too late to start ...)

      1. Download a copy of my article
      2. Complete the video exercise by John Reese
      3. Create your “To-Do” Expedition, your “Desire” Adventure, and your “Fear” Discovery
      4. Create your “2-Month Master Plan” and then break it down like I did.
      5. Take action

That's it. Continued success in 2011.

I love your post. Having a plan for reaching one's goals is crucial. The New Year offers a fresh start for reorganizing everything including our ideas. I've realized that many of my previous goals were not important for my happiness and are not even wanted by me now. I will be setting new goals and breaking them down into doable steps. Then each step completed will be a cause to celebrate.

Thanks for your enthusiastic and helpful post.

I wish everyone good health, and prosperity for 2011. Happy New Year!
