I have set myself a goal of Earning $4k A Month by the end of the year.
I currently have about 20 projects on the go and am finishing nothing.

What is the best way to be more productive and get nearer to my goal?

    Focus?

What do you personally think is the best way for yourself to be more productive and get nearer to your goal?

You've been doing these projects for how long? Is any of them working, any that you could do without?

Do you think you are spreading too thin?

My wife thinks i am spreading myself too thin.
I am currently doing 3 membership sites, adsense sites, web hosting, clickbank sites, am dabbling with CPA & PPC.
I am making money at moment just not enough to fulfill my goals

Well listen to your wife, she certainly knows you better than any of us would.

I think you should analyse what you have been doing for the past two years and see what is currently working and what not.

If some stream of income makes say 1k and another which you have been working on for say as long as the 1k stream makes you much less, needless to say you should drop it and focus on the profitable one.

Analyse your current projects, compare them, contrast them and then come with a masterplan as to what direction you wish to go.

Your goal is 4k in about 6 months. That could be the heading, the rest is how you are going to achieve it? Maybe web hosting deserves too much attention and stands in your way? Maybe the adsense sites are a waste of time and you would be better off focusing in getting more members?

Maybe the clickbank sites can be merged together and also be merged with the adsense site?

This might not be the answer you were expecting but my humble opinion is that your data will be much more correct than any of us could. Simply see what they are telling you and act accordingly and streamline everything, compress them if you like so you don't spread yourself too thin and accomplish nothing.

        Just my opinion.

      Prioritize.

You have set up a goal: $4k A Month. You have set up your milestones: membership sites, adsense sites, web hosting, clickbank sites, am dabbling with CPA & PPC.

Prioritize your milestones, securing each before moving onto next.

Spreading thin may not extend your reach to goal, securing each milestone will.

One project at a time. Thats my motto.

Setup a project as much on auto pilot as you can and then build your next project...

        Rinse and repeat...

        All best,

    Hi Spud!

Of the 20 is there one that is/has made you any money?

Is there one or more of them you find yourself drawn to first thing in the morning, or dreaming about (either day or night)?

A good technique is aiming to make your first $1/€1/£1 etc. just aim to make the first buck - then you repeat.

If you answer the questions I have more ideas for you...,

    Cheers!

my best advice for you is to focus on only one project at a time.

I also use to struggle with this trying to take on everything and learn everything at once.

At the end of the day nothing was done.

We just had a call yesterday and me and my business partners were discussing this same thing.

Focus on one project at a time.

Complete the first project, and when you reached your goal then move to the second project.

You have to begin with baby steps to achieve giant leaps.

Making large sums of money every month is a process.

not to many people go from 0 to 5000 in one month. it can be done, but you are more likley to succeed one step at a time.

20 running and none finished is a big clue....

Choose one and finish it to the point where you dominate your niche...then re evaluate.

        Hi Spud,

Set myself about the same goals as you did - $5000 by the end of Jan 2009.

In fact, I think my story is quite similar to yours. I was doing too many things and at the end of the day, I find that nothing has been done.

Well, good luck on your goal and remember, Focus!

When working on projects it is very important to operate in strides. Ensure that some is fully off the ground and performing well and generating returns, before taking on new ones.
When you have too much things happening at the same time there is not enough effort spent on one at any given time to produce results therefore you end up in the state you are in now (achieving nothing)

      Hello Spud...

Yeah, they're all certainly right about focus and doing one project at a time. I made the same mistake for a very long time. I thought I could handle it all, etc. But it never works when you're trying to make your first dollar, or reasonably serious money.

I've read several things from different sources concerning mindset. Nothing new really except for this one... It has to do with setting realistic goals that you know your mind will accept.

Concerning financial business goals. According to this person, sorry... can't really remember the newsletter I read it in, our minds will accept a financial goal when it's relative to the income we are used to getting. His general benchmark was 50% of what we're used to making. He supported all this with some study that, of course, I cannot remember the specifics of it. But he supported all this with some data.

Most people want to earn more money. But if it's an amount that is too high, our mind will reject most likely on an unconscious level. The rejection will be in the form of self-sabotaging of our effort. On some level we really don't believe it can be done, or we don't believe we're worthy of that kind of success. When that happens, we unconsciously will start sabotaging our effort.

Does that make sense? Seems to have a ring of common sense truth to me.

So choose something you really think is doable and set a sensible financial goal, if you want.

I'm acquainted with a successful online entrepreneur. I did a lot of copywriting for him last year and earlier this year. He very strongly believes that when you're first starting out, in addition to other common sense attitudes, the goal should be to make your first sale. That's it and nothing more. Concentrate on making the first sale. He believes that if you can make one, you can make a hundred or a thousand more. All things considered...

I followed his advice about that. I also focused on one business idea, as well. And now, I have my first successful business venture. It's still in the early stages, and I'm still testing things. But it has excellent signs for success.

Hope all that helps! Take care...

To get success, you should make a list of importance. Working with twenty with no completion will not help you at all. Why not you find out which are best for you and try one by one? Do that. Target less and do quality work.

If you really want to reach your goal then you have to focus on project and finish it then move on to the other project for you to be able to finish all of them. It may not be easy but that would be one of the best way to reach your goal. Good Luck!

Be organized and try to provide necessary effort for it.
You know about your self ,find out your positive and negative .You can earn best ,when you know better about your self.

Do most essential job at first among 20,then try less essential and carry on.
Careful about the time duration, just maintain it and keep going.
