It's nice to read a success story from someone who doesn't have "LEARN HOW I MADE 20K IN ONE HOUR!" in their signature.

Hello guys/gals,

By trade, I am an electronics engineer therefore Sales and Marketing is completely new to me therefore it has been very challenging for me to learn the ropes as it were.

I started my journey of making additional money in March 2006 when I joined a network marketing company. To begin with, I was making a decent income as I started to build my team but unfortunately I was unable to carry the momentum or pass my newly learned skill to my team to grow plus with zero marketing skills was unable to leverage the internet to grow my business therefore started to struggle. It was no longer enjoying it hence decided to give it up.

Then I got involved with marketing physical information products using direct mail. It was certainly an experience. Although I had some success, I was unable to fund the activity long term due to the high cost of direct mail in the UK therefore reluctantly had give it up too.

Thereafter, I started to attend seminars, webinars etc to learn about internet marketing.

During this time, I also sold products on Amazon and eBay. Within 3 months, I became a Gold powerseller on eBay. It was certainly an achievement. Although I was making money selling physical products, I needed to put in a lot of efforts in sourcing the products, shipping, dealing with customers etc therefore decided that it was not a long term strategy to make money therefore again decided not continue down this path as well.

In May 2009, I did a JV with a well known UK internet marketer and I learned a great deal from him and this was begining of making an income online.

For another year continued my learning and searching for a method to make money online and finally in April 2010, I decided upon becoming an Amazon affiliate.

The reason for choosing to become an Amazon affiliate is because of their reputation, secondly I wanted to get involved with a business which was scalable and was able to outsource to leverage on other people time.

I have outsourced the scaling up operation and linking to 4 people in the Philippines.

My personal target is to earn $10K per month. I am confident that I will achieve my goal once all my sites get ranked on the search engines.

The three biggest challenges that I have had to overcome is stop buying products from all the Guru product launches and get nowhere fast, secondly remain totally focused on making one strategy work and finally the most important for me was setting a goal.
