Visualize Success: Write A Case Study

This may seem odd to some, but this technique has been successful for me in the past. I actually came up with the idea while under the influence! (I know, bad).
Also I will say this will probably only work with businesses which offer some type of value, not really a cookie-cutter, get rich overnight with a spammy content-farm type of approach (though if it does work for you, please do let me know). :p
So you just started your "online business", right? Be it a website, blog, offering services... whatever. Fast forward to the future, and write a case study.
Oh yes, I am not joking. Visualize that you have become utterly successful with this business/website, and that you are being interviewed by some big-shot about your success and how you got there, so others trying to make it in this cold, cruel IM world can learn from your strategies, lessons, and mistakes.
Write out the interview. Say "John" is interviewing you, so John will ask you typical questions which are asked in an interview/case study.
How did the idea of this business/website come to your mind?
How did you initially start implementing it?
What did you do to make sure you stood out from the rest?
What sort of methods did you use to promote and get targeted traffic to your website?
How did you you build your list?
How did you find JV partners?
What was the one thing that blew you up big?
If you could give a single piece of advice to a newbie starting out, what would it be?
... and any other questions you can think of. Pick your own brain. Heck, if you can get one of your friends/girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/wife/family to actually interview you like this, it may even work better.
What you are doing is picking your own brain.
You're gonna talk as if you're already a successful big-shot... So you're gonna say... "well this is how I thought of the idea, this is how it sparked my imagination, this is what I did to stand out from the rest. These are the kind of promotion methods I tried... I wrote articles, I put videos on YouTube, I made sure I always wrote crazy-valuable content, even if no one was reading it in the beginning. This is what I did to hunt down JV partners in my niche, and this is how I established dialogue with them and got them to do a JV with me and promote my product/website/business. I made sure I built a list from the beginning, so after 6 months, I had over 10,000 targeted prospects on my list. Now there's not a day that goes by where I don't make less than $1000/day".
Trust me, if you pick your brain with the above technique, you will essentially layout a "blue print" to get you to where you want to be.
Now you need to look back at your self-conducted "interview" or "case study", and actually do those things.
What's in your case study is exactly what you need to do; to get where you want to be, to have the life you want to have, and to make the money that you want to make.
